  • I seriously don't understand when people say this sounds like monteverdi... cavalli sounds like moneverdi too? Maybe I know their work too well, but this doesn't sound ANYTHING like monteverdi :-S

  • Caccini and Monteverdi are completely contemporary to each other. They were both part of the Maneirism movement in Italy, Caccini being member of the famous Camerata Fiorentina, hence the resemblance! :)
