  • hahaahaha

  • kim bu ılık amk ?

  • murdered one of my favourite songs :(

  • @supersetchy to each their own

  • altını şer incisi ker.

  • This is truly awful.

  • Who else is here because of scrubs? :D

  • This looks more like a cult

  • the voice is sooo different, but this is awesome

  • This is actually pretty good!

  • Great to see Charles Manson has been finally freed. Long live the family.

  • great cover! /watch?v=Qb2sciQ4aW8

  • Weren't these guys on Scurbs...

  • @RandomLonnelyGuy Indeed they were and the song they played was Light & Day.

  • I went to school with the main drummer...brian wakeland....the founder and lead singer use to be in a band called tripping daisy...they were a really cool band...saw them perform this at the Norman Music Festival in Oklahoma...

  • This video nicely captures the energy of seeing the Spree live.

  • better than Nerdvana

  • I love this version, brilliant.

  • dude i love your voice

  • Dave grohl on harp! lol!

  • its fucking beautyfull!!!!!11111111111111111111111

  • Oh god no. Thats so bad.... <.<'

  • Type in Wikipedia polyphonic spree and scroll to Jessica Jordan. My name is julian

  • My mom is in this band. NO KIDDING. Ty

  • I would like to see The Polyphonic Spree and Scala on one stage

  • I wanna punch the lead singer. In the mouth.

  • @jakemdoran Which means you got nothing as to what the point of Nirvana was.

  • @IntolerantMaster I don't think that's true. But my statement was also entirely opinionated. The guy annoys me. Unless Nirvana's message was don't punch cover artists in the face, then your point is irrelevant.

  • @jakemdoran The whole idea was that you shouldn't conform to others opinions and everyone should do what they want. I'm sure Kurt would be proud of this cover.

  • I love this!

  • This video taste like skittles!

  • Love Love Love this!

  • have there produced any new stuff, i haven't seen any for a few years have thy split?

  • GOSH! It feels so good to tumb up this video!

  • You cut off the end you effing moron.

  • It's like kurdt died and I went to heaven.

  • It's like kurdt died and I went to heaven.

  • 3:24 those girls are smokin! O.o

  • This version brings me happiness unlike the Nirvana version, still love both.

  • People who don't get this forget that Kurt had a deep love of the unusual and a great sense of humor ... the spree obviously get that

  • Love the instrumentals, but nobody can beat Kurt's vocals....

  • playing the music for fun and because they love it... perfect.

  • Polyphonic Spree at House of Blues on New Years. If you live in Dallas you BETTER go!

  • Can't believe the singer went from Tripping Daisy to this...

  • My family keep telling me that Nirvana suck and it is really depressing music, I then showed this to my family ... well, let's just say this put them in their place.

  • @TheDolefish

The whole reason he created polyphonic spree was because his friend in the band before, overdosed on heroin and died.

  • This is weirdly awesome. :D

  • Wow i really like this cover of Lithium. Great job guys!! Kurt would of been pleased especially with the female vocals:)

  • Like watching mental hospital patients equipped with musical instruments having a manic episode :D white must be the new black cause these guys rock

  • I'm seeing them at the HOB on New Year's Eve in Dallas.

  • so so so so positive.. best Nirvana cover!

    ( my opinion)

  • CASE CLOSED KURT WOULD DIG THIS AND WOULD BE PROUD THIS BAND COVERED IT.THEY HAVE MANTAINED A LEVEL OF DIGNITY I THINK HE WOULD RESPECT

  • if Lithium was in the soundtrack of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

  • Nice. Never heard of them. Hope they don't commit suicide in the south american jungle one day.

  • WTF?

  • This is insanely awesome. Kurt would be proud

  • sunday morning seems like it probably IS every day for these ones.

  • holy fuck, this is one of the sweetest things that i have seen in my entire life!

  • this make feel so happy.....it gives me hope..

  • AMAZING is this what nirvana was in the begining not wanting to sound the same and make nursurey rym type music,

and to all who slag this video or the spree you proberly wernt even born when nirvana were in the pomp

  • Who cares what Kurt would have loved drones. It's what it does for you. Kurt is dead and gone. End of story.

  • @FavreianVengeance I think Kurt would approve. - and he'd be envious of the lack of fame these guys have. Just sayin

  • @getevilnic Maybe. I never bought that he didn't enjoy the fame. But if that's your outlook that's cool.

  • These angels had too much LITHIUM

  • They turned nirvana into kids bop..

    Instant dislike.

  • Good. But can't beat the original.

  • I listened to this song in college like 38ytrebgfiweth23895yr95y3 times a day. Great cover!

  • Jesus is playing the harp. Rock on!

  • its so creepy but so good at the same time.

  • Fuck this shit.

  • Thumbs up if it's better than Nirvana's version. [ /blasphemy]

  • This hipster crap makes me wanna kill a dolphin.

  • @SonnySeaMonster This happy music stimulates pleasure receptors in my brain and I don't give a fuck who else listens to it.

  • @Imptheshrimp good luck with that.

  • @SonnySeaMonster It's been pretty good so far thanks. Good luck with letting annoying directionless youths ruin things for you.

  • ¡¡YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle by JAY REATARD it's amazing too.

Cobain will live forever in our hearts. BEST MUSICIAN EVER.

  • This is hilarious. I love it!

  • vince vauhn?

  • This is the GLEE version.

  • Kurt Cobain loved Shonen Knife! FACT. Kurt is dead, no one knows if he'd like this or not, who cares. I like it.

  • if you believe that kurt cobain's favorite band was Abba then you probably also believe that bob dylan grew up a poor black child.

  • this sounds like it could be in a nirvana musical on broadway

  • Adultz-Bop?

  • People who don't like this fail to see that Kurt's favourite band was ABBA.

  • EPIC Jesus on harp xD

  • @BenjaminDaniello That's not Jesus, that's nearly Dave Grohl!!! Seriously!

  • @BenjaminDaniello is David Grohl

  • This is an amazing cover....love it!!!

We recently covered "On A Plain" in honor of the 20th anniversary of Nevermind. Have a listen and let us know what you think (it's titled "Chariots On A Plain Of Fire"). If you like, check out our other songs and videos. Thanks!

    -Oddments

  • That was fucken epic...

  • It's like MGMT brought the song aboard their LSD mothership...

  • @GoAskAlex1991 mgmt are noob faggots

  • @l33tpwnzord In what way exactly?

  • @l33tpwnzord I take it since you have a subscription to MGMTmusic you weren't going to answer my response, nice try though :P

  • So theatrical, love it! They remind of Arcade Fire :)

  • a fantastic cover. I have added this to my FB group dedicated to cover versions. It's called "The Guilty Pleasure of the Cover Version". Feel free to join.

  • Lol. Weird to hear these happy bastards do such a dark song.

  • Kurt would've been proud!

  • a cover of nirvana? contradictory band

  • Great cover !

  • is this the group from scrubs? lol awesome!!!

  • These are the kind of people who went to school and were the cool kids who smoked weed, got girls, everyone was jealous of and were probably really annoying because of that and other shazz. I really hate it when I find out that people like this have gotten famous. But I do like this :) you're really good lads! Well done ;)

  • AWESOME. I hope heaven is just like this

  • seriously, why aren't we arguing over which of the backup singers we'd rather bang? They're all super fine, and nothing is cuter than chicks headbanging and rocking out.

Also, lulz to people who thought these guys are some kind of worship band or something that only covered this song because it says, "I found God." Nirvana did more than spawn a bunch of crappy alt rock bands with dudes who try too hard to compensate for their lack of a dong.

  • Was that Jesus or Dave Grohl on the Harp?? :)

  • chill fuck faces enjoy the music or pass on it

  • this is an amazing cover and kurt cobain would have loved it

  • @SMOKEWEEDNlGGA If you think this is a Christian band then you really need to cut back on smoking weed. You also don't understand what Nirvana was all about.

  • kill me now please and save me from this horrific fuckup of the great song nirvana made :).

  • I think this guy is high on Lithium

  • @buddyacker

Yah im positive kurt would be so pleased his song was turned into a christian pop rock cover. U really know alot about kurt hey.

  • @illfightyou4money I honestly think he'd just be apathetic... or depressed. If he didnt want it turned Christian, he probably shoulda left out the "I found GOD" part. Jackass.

  • Absolutely unreal!

  • You don't see many Jesus harp players anymore.

  • Is the guy on the harp Jesus?

  • @chipdip1 Nah, Jesus was the brown guy. He got detained at the airport.

  • Bumba Bumba Bumba Heey!

  • I want to go to a Polyphonic Spree concert. Looks like a blast.

  • Kurt Cobain would have really enjoyed this great cover of his song.

  • 1:11 jesus christ!

  • i just can't stop listening to this song

    great cover

    great band !!!

  • @Supernannynator me too!!!

  • The guy at the 1:54 mark is not happy enough to be in Polyphonic Spree.

  • what the...? what the...!? What a fake?!

  • I honestly like this one more than Nirvana singing and playing it.

  • let's give it up for jesus on the harp.

  • Inspiring song happy uplifting the guys were great live

  • not saying it is bad but.......its weird as hell

  • Hey that's Tim DeLaughter, the lead singer of Trippin Daisy.

  • @jotorc70 Yeah, but the band broke up.

  • this is a really great cover. It's great to see a whole new interpretation when someone decides to cover a song

  • Groovy!

  • omg they scare me...

  • I don't think the guy's voice really matched this...he sounds like Richard Simmons.

  • Kurt would have LOVED this!!!

  • santa at 0:54!

  • Kurt should become to be a zombie to stop it ! :-D

  • So much love and energy!!!! Truly moving and AMAZING!!!!!! :)

  • Does it really say "We broke our mirror" in the real song? Fuck, I thought it said "Brocom is"

  • Fucked up and right on.

  • woah!! I suddenly missed nirvana!

  • Why is this psychotic?

  • This. Cover. Was. Amazing. (And I am a huge fan of Nirvana).

  • does anyone know what venue this is

  • @antohall2007 That's Lakewood Theater in Dallas. They usually have a Christmas show every year. First few years it was there then it moved to Verizon Theatre (at the time Nokia Theatre) and then back to Lakewood again.

  • It's Jesus on the harp!

  • What the fuck is this?

  • Just finished watching, I need to see that again.

  • its so psychotically great.

  • Weren't these guys on Scrubs?

  • @Darqastic Yes. When I put this song on the playlist that I'm listening to now, there was a link to the Scrubs usage in the Suggestions. I don't see it there now, but a search should find it. good luck. Respect from Michigan. Power to the Peaceful. Don

  • omg.lol.wow.happy people.

  • normally i hate covers, but there's something about this one that makes me love it. Maybe it's the harp? I think it did the song justice, not like a lot of the other douchebag bands that can't be original. Polyphonic Spree made it special. Makes me wanna see a church choir cover Rape me.

  • @evilla420 haha

  • Anyone who sings along to this song is a toolbag

  • btw people speaking for Kurt and calling people fags in the same breath missed the point and message of what Nirvana was

  • @thenotoriouscbg and what was the purpose and message of Nirvana? please enlighten us!

Because all I got from Nirvana is that life is horrible and I better kill myself, everyone is against me and I should be angry at pretty much everything and that I might let the world rot, since it's none of my business.

Don't get me wrong, I felt very represented by all that when I was a teenager. But If you want to suggest that Nirvana had a message of unity and understanding, then you are very wrong.

  • @thenotoriouscbg a cover this polished and overblown also misses the point of Nirvana ;-)

  • one of the best covers i've heard

  • This shouldn't work, but it does. Just a higher key? Was Nirvana not that hard to begin with?

  • Atleast its not Glee covering Nirvana.....this is more tolerable

  • awesome cover!! and this crowd is fuckin insane!!! i wish i was there!! the spree rly know how to get ppl goin!! love it!

    pce...pot...microdot friends!!

    happy trails!

  • The Spree are awesome!

  • I love how this video makes the harp relavent again!

  • great cover song

  • These people need to be drowned in sack.

  • I don't live in DFW anymore and this makes me miss going to the Ridglea. :(

  • Finally, a decent cover.
