  • I'm about to do locks of love for my second time (:

    Loove the new hair !

  • do you only reply in some video and how many languages do you speak

  • when I started this video a ladybug landed on my desk...I know....this time of the year..this long into winter...this time of the night. strange its not with the others in diapause.

  • Sweet I like your video

  • Wow Dat was amazing. :)

  • CUTE

  • ur hair is really cute after!

  • that was wicked .JV

  • How did I manage to miss this?!

  • LoL also states, on their own website that the kids' (who suffer alopecia, not chemo baldness - no cancer connection here) families must PAY for the hairpieces.

  • Locks of Love is a scam. They don't meet the Better Business Bureau's Standards for Charity Accountability. They have stated that they collect around 2000 ponytails a week, that's over 100,000 ponytails a year. They say it takes 6 to 10 ponytails to make one wig. If we say 10 that would be over 10,000 wigs per year. The have been in business since 1997 and have only made over 2000 wigs in over 10 years. Do the math.

  • I'm curious, where did you obtain this information? I'd like to research it.

  • Check your PM.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • really like the tune in the back ground who is it

  • you surely know how to do it :)

  • I'M DOING THIS TOO! YAY! I just posted a video up trying to bring awareness as well! :) i'm glad that you are using your popularity for good.

  • BLESS YOUR HEART!!!!!! I'm about to do the same in about a week. My hair is about to my waist, but the children are far more important than hair. Besides, it WILL grow back!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes... it will! :)

Thank you for your kind words. As I'm sure you know, the gift of giving is one feeling that can't be replaced than any other... or so I have found. ~peace

  • Your such a sweetie! And you have beautiful hair so I know some peeps are gonna be very happy!

God Bless You for your giving spirit!

    Helives!

  • Nice gesture girl...very sweet!!!

  • just painted u based on this video (-:

  • Nice! Will you share? Let me know! Thank you! You are an honest and kind person. I respect that. -heidi

  • This is soo great!!! OXOXOX

  • Marry me! Oh wait...I am already taken. You mind being the second mrs? Lol. :)

  • wow now i feel awful for being so vain bout my hair!! peace love & music!!!

  • wow people pay hundreds of dollars a year to do that...I cut my own hair too!

  • I grew out my hair for three years and was finally able to donate 10 inches to them last year.

I am growing out again, so I can do the same thing, as soon as I can in the future.

    Good for you!!

  • What an exquisite sacrifice, one from the heart, not to be seen of men, but to do good in the world.

  • Good old fashioned example. Walk the walk. Proud of you stranger. never knew you did that. nice

  • my son is growing his hair out for locks of love, on his own accord. i am so proud of him :)

  • I had to get a haircut for my last job and donated that too! this reminds of a really cool Avett Brothers video except they shave off thier beards,I try to find it and send it to you!

  • I think it's really cool that you did that! It seems you have a big heart, nice to know there are still people like you around. :) Peace, from your newest sub!

  • You'd be surprised how many sincere and caring people around. You just have to look in the right places. :)

  • but y do it your self? now its uneven. its not that hard to go get it cut not cut is yourself!!!

  • Actually the reason I did it myself is that 2 times prior, both hairdressers were uneasy. Seems as though they do this and have had some traumatic reactions. I went to the hair dresser after wards.

Also - I wouldn't have been able to do this video to promote Locks of Love. :)

  • o ok i get it

  • God, you're a babe.

  • You know, it annoys me how Americans INSIST that wanting to cut their hair short ISN'T why they are donating their hair to America's favourite (British spelling so correct) cancer charity?! IF U WANT TO CUT IT SHORT U DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT IF U DON'T DONATE IT TO LOCKS OF LOVE!

  • I agree. I completely agree.

There is no need for guilt - it's a wasted self-indulgent emotion. ~peace

  • muchos love

  • My thanks! Good to see you here. ~peace

  • i be here

  • Most french men are dogs according to my French ex-girlfriend. Doesn't surprise me. I think the Mona Lisa was a beautiful woman.

  • It was a literal dog. :) She says they are much more pet friendly than in the states...

  • Oh! An actually dog? Sorry *lol*

  • We keep missing each others humor? I'M sarcastic, but not that bad!

  • I enjoy sarcasm = )

  • You're a very lovely woman, it doesn't matter how you wear your hair. Your face reminds me of Mona Lisa. I stared at that painting many times at the Louvre when I lived in Paris for a few years = )

  • The Mona Lisa freaks me out. You really know how to get to the woman.... ;)

I am an art enthusiast.. ( that sound so cheezy - probable for I love art and artist for I am one. shshshshhhhhh... don't tell anyone)

Paris in the spring? My college roommate studied there in 1990. She ended up with a dog... :)

  • heidi you hot, lets date

  • Yeah... I'd need a predatenup. I'm a bit jaded I suppose.;)

  • Cool. Very very cool.

  • Easy way lose 1/2 a lb. ;)

  • Doing the calculations, all I would need is to grow another... 80 feet of hair. No problem.

  • lol ~just caught this. ~fabulous!

  • Just did the math, huh? Yeah, this joke takes a minute. Seriously, it's great cause, glad you support it.

  • My thanks :)

  • Dig - I got my own world. ;)

I did forget that it was in Easy Rider. I am a classic music junkie. It's what I grew up on.

I'm gonna let my freak flag fly!

Time to break out Axis - Bold as Love. My favorite of his. ~peace

  • if all the hippies

    cut off their hair

    i dont care

    i dont care

if all the mountains fall into the sea

    let it be

    let it be

    thats right chile..........

  • Wow! What a great thing to do for someone that has no hair. God is blessing you dear friend and with that blessing you are in turn sharing that same blessing with someone else. I love it! Thank you for posting this inspiring video. I pray that our Lord continue blessing you.

  • I enjoy helping others with the gifts I was given. Thank you for your thoughts and comment!

  • ahhh! heidi with short hair!!

  • It's a wonderful feeling and it grows back every-time! ~Heidi

  • haha, imagine that.

i've never cut my own hair. I bet it's an interesting experience.

  • Yes... it was quite liberating actually. I had to get it cut and usually (the last 2 times I cut more than 10 inches off) the hairdresser is leery - worried I will be upset. I figured I'd spare them the trauma. I did have it evened out by a professional, but it was fun hacking through my hair! Go figure. :)

  • You are one of the most beatiful girls I know and not in just looks. Keep it up! Wish there was more like you around. Love ya!!

    ONE>PA

  • I so wish I could do that, but I'm terrified. Now 54 and have had long hair most of my life, this was awesome!.....Um,and you've really got me contemplating!

  • wonderful jester...support is found in the strangest of places....

  • Good for you. I did that a few times, too. And the new 'do looks good.

  • butiful i love it:D

  • This is so awesome of you! My daughter who is 9 is working on growing hers for just this reason. Just like her Heidi, you make me smile! Thanks!

  • Yes~ A wonderful program.

  • That was very nice, Heidi. You're hot with short and long hair.

  • Thanks John. The library will not charge you late fees for the books you failed to return ;)

  • Thanks Dario. It means a lot. :)

  • heidi there are so many reason l like you alot and this well

l could squeeze you your a amazing lady :)

  • Hey Tara. Thank you dear one. Right back at you!

  • That was really nice of U.Tod

  • Thanks Tod. I do t when I can. It takes a few years :)

  • What is the program? Did you cut your hair for a charity or something Heid?

  • ok got it - wigs for bald kids. .ahh dunno.. Most modern kids can handle being bald ok.. You know... get a cool bandana or somethng..or just go Au Natural Kojak stylee... nothing wrong with being bald. Wigs are not the best answer for the long term..they will grow up to be even more self conscious and unconfident

  • Feeling positive today? It's just hair. To some it means alot and to some it means nothing. I like providing options. ~peace

  • Yes you do provide options Heidi..thank you love.

    Hair today

    gone tomorrow.

Peace and prayers on my shrine of apples to you.

    T

  • That was good! Thank you for the acknowledgment. ~peace

  • Gee I wish I could do that for a good cause. That is awesome! Good for you Heidi.

  • Hey, thanks! Wasn't very difficult for me. I'll send in one of my braids for you.

  • Wow! Thank you very much. I am honored. (Hugs)

  • No honors needs. ;)

  • Amazing. Good for you. Truely selfless.

  • Actually totally selfish. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel. I'd like to say it's altruistic, but I'd be lying. ~peace

  • I didn't think of it that way. Good point. I should have said, "Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back." Oh well, maybe next time. Good video either way.

  • Thank you for commenting and enjoying... I just wanted to honest. ~Heidi

  • Dude I once thought briefly of living on a mountain in the middle of nowhere... it lasted like for a 1/2 second 10 years ago. I realized I would miss the sun, surf, food, total lack of hard work, my 911 turbo, all night sex parties and drugs too much.

  • This is the best comment. I love my subs. Oh - thank you for the laugh. I do have sun and hard work, but I don't get paid for it. :) Thank you!

  • I'm growing my hair out for Locks of Love.

  • I asked another person - where you doing this for awhile or did you just learn about the program through this vid?

Regardless, it's a wonderful and easy thing to do. ~peace

  • I've been growing my hair out for locks of love for about a month, so it's not very long yet. It's getting there, though.

  • It usually takes me about 2 years, but that's because I don't like my hair very short.

I think it's really great you are contributing!

  • Great Job!

  • Thanks. An easy job that brings me joy.

  • You look far sexier with the short hair

  • You'll say anything to get what you want, won't you...;)

  • Ah ha, so that's how it's done properly so you don't end up with shorter hair in the back! I did my step-daughter's and wish I had known! lol I had it in one ponytail in the back. Great job Heidi! Anne

  • Thanks Anne. I didn't think of that aspect... I just didn't know how else to do it by myself! The irony here is that when I get my hair cut to my jaw, I like it shorter in the back! lol. I have to go to a hairdresser for that. Good to see you here!

  • I am growing mine now for Locks Of Love

  • Were you planning on it, or did this inspire? Did you check out the link?

Regardless, you will feel good doing it. ~peace

  • i have had it in my profile description for a few month now, and have beeen growing it for the last few month...

  • awesome! Really great so many people are already so aware of the program. Let me know if and when you make a video about it, okay?

  • Sure... One of my co-workers said her daughter and her friends did this cause one of their friends had cancer, they shaved their heads in support of her, cause she had lost all her hair. Ofcourse this is not what everyone does, but mostly if they have family/friends with cancer... and I have a nabour who has breast cancer.

  • BTW, I used to be Amish, FYI. I found your video cause I am a KidBlood fan, and he rated your video, so I came here to check it, cause it is something I am interested in.

  • Bravo!

  • Thank you.

  • Hair does grow back, check out me singing when I fall in love for instance, pretty short hair :)

It's kind of brave chopping it off though.

    Mike

BTW you look great either way.

  • Thanks. It feels good and I figure I lost 1/2 a pound! :)

  • Great gesture! And besides, you gained a very dynamic look with your asymmetric cut.

  • lol.... yes - I will be getting that fixed with the help of a hair-dresser. :) You were the first person to have the guts to mention that! Awesome. The truth is the truth! ~peace

  • I went with my friends girls about a year ago. It was their idea and I was proud of them. It is a good thing.

  • That's great. Now I must tell you - I can't get Barry songs out of my mind. I was hauling in wood two days ago, and man - the song clips kept come pouring into my brain. You tapped into a deep memory. :)

  • I told you he writes the songs that make the whole world sing. :) Keep you the good work.

  • nice video mix. i was viewer 555.

  • Do you like odd numbers? I am not a fan of even numbers (I don't know why I have this bias...

  • occasionally, certain numbers tell me that "i'm in the right place at the right time"... like, right now, the system says i was here 10 hours ago, you were here 25 minutes ago, all divisible by 5.

  • I'm with you, although I identify with a few numbers. You actually go for the equation, which actually seems more sensible. Like 17. Prime usually. Go figure... (:

  • nah. i'm not sensible just sensational. like a car door window secured with duct tape. sensimilla. sophisticated sophistry hard core poetry. manipulating the matrix. download insurgency. solidarity sister. word. {010}

  • Wow. Indeed, something else!

  • That's funny in the context, "Go figure..."

  • Excellent vid. Nice to find someone else who does this too. I'm donating my third ponytail this spring.

  • Awesome! I feel it is worthy to promote such a thing. If you can - why not? ~peace

  • I did Locks of Love about a year ago, and I got a free haircut at some expensive joint. I miss my long hair, but it's starting to come back.

  • Mine grows quickly. I never miss it and it always returns.

Kudos for your gift. Very cool.

  • Right on. There's some little girl somewhere wearing a wig of my old hair right now. I wonder if they told her it used to be a guy's?

*sigh* why am I so weird?

  • Why are we all so weird. How do you know it didn't go to a boy?

  • "Why are we all so weird."

I'll just keep speaking to myself until you return.:)

  • I am a guy, and am growing my hair fir LOL, there is nothing wrong with that...

  • No - there isn't. Kudos!

  • hmmm. I better not say it's a great idea or I'll be cutting mine next. yikes!

  • It grows back.... and they only need 10 inches...:) Men with long hair seem quite attached. It's interesting. ~peace dear

  • if you do, do it on video!@

  • Agreed. :)

  • MIKMA WAS HERE

  • I love that Mikma was here. Thank you. :)

  • that's awesome! did you want a haircut and decide to donate, or did you decide to donate first and then as a result, had to cut your hair?

  • I've done this before. I needed to get my haircut for an upcoming event, so I figured this would be a good time to donate...

I knew I was going to make this video for quite awhile - I just didn't know when or how. :)

  • Good luck with the event esp if its what I think it is. I've remembered the date. I'm cheering for you.:)

  • Thank you. I need some cheering :)

  • Good luck:)

I have a little poem that involves cheering for Heidi. I'll post it soon.

  • No "ra ra shish boom ba" stuff, okay?"

  • It was for the event. It was very sentimental. I'll scrap it. The point was I'm cheering for you.:)

  • No matter what happens with all of that,no closing doors, okay?:)

I had a dream about doors opening, so don't go closing them.:)

  • I better get organised but you know where my thoughts are.

  • My cheering is getting louder as the event gets closer. Please PM and let me know where everything stands (if you want too, of course).

  • I am cheering so much I am featuring on my channel DieselBodine's "Allies (with HeidiSaid)"

& a video of yours to express my solidarity with you.

  • thx now i know how to do mine when the time comes......a haircut is or can be like a great walk in the outdoors....gives you a fresh feeling and a feeling of---i can start anew!...have fun with the new personality that comes with change of appearance!hope all is well with you!happy new year!

  • Thank you. It definitely is freeing. Your hair (I do like the the shapes it makes when you twist it) I'm sure would be appreciated. ~peace

  • ah ....you saw that video!....lol

  • I've been watching more videos recently...:)

  • OMG, your hair is so beautiful...

and when i first read the title of the video,

    i kinda freaked out a bit...lol... when i cut

my own hair, i went way over board but, you

stayed within reason and you just as beautiful as ever... well, your a bit more beautiful

with all the love, pouring from your heart...

    =];)>~

  • It hopefully will work beautifully now for others. :) I've done this before. I can promise that it grows back... at least it has in the past!

    ~peace

  • you have given such a wonderful gift...

my hats off to you, gracious lady...

    ~to you

    ~peace and

    ~blessings

  • Thank you. *smile*

  • very nice, ms. said :)

  • Thank you said I:)

  • heidisaid that was really sweet :-)

  • Thanks ONS. I couldn't get your song out of my head yesterday when I was carrying in wood (deep freeze where I am now). That (marry me) and "I write the songs" by Barry M.

I subbed to someone who confessed to loving his music yesterday and those two songs were on instant rewind clips in my brain as I worked. Crazy at the Cabana, Heidi

  • i see you had your expresso this morning

  • lol... hahahaha... okay, I'm still laughing. There is so much irony in that statement. I think your referring to xPLx like speed of the video...

  • looks like there's a cow in your room! watch out!!!

  • She does look like a cow! You are the first person to notice that on or off line without me pointing it out. Tilly says moo!

  • But I sold my watch to buy you a brush.

  • What can I say. I knew I was going to be in the area and wanted to be incognito so I wouldn't be stalked - but now you know. Damn, ;)

  • I almost came out of hiding when you dropped your keys today but I saw you went back for them so I stayed in my tree.

  • I thought that was a great-horned owl?! *sigh*

  • AND...you look even better with it short!

  • Fabulous! Thank you... but I'll be growing it again so...

  • A gift of love for another. You're a special woman.

    David

  • You are very kind. I was going to be self-defacing and I erased.

    Thank you David.

  • Very cool! My mum is going through chemo now. You rock, Heidi. <3 <3 <3

  • Mum.... I remember when I started YT it was the angst of my fathers cancer. Thanks Gem... It grows back fast.... in case you were feeling inspired ;) ~peace
