They performed this when they came to the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC in July 1990. Danger Danger and Slaughter opened. The only bad thing was that they didn't let KISS shoot any pyro. I this happened also in Little Rock, AR. Did this happen anywhere else? Or were the fire marshalls in Columbia that backwards?

Never had any problems over here in Toronto or Hamilton Ontario Canada, Kiss always had amazing stage shows with pyro's here, man those fire marshalls suck ass man!!!

I saw Dynasty and Asylum in Columbia. They let them shoot pyro then. They let them shoot it for Revenge and the Reunion tour. I don't know why they didn't allow it on Hot in the Shade. I saw Crazy Nights at The Scope in Norfolk, VA. I wish I had seen the Alive II tour, but the Reunion stage was similar, minus the steps.
