He already spoke, and I started telling him about my goals and my desire to travel and see the world, possibly live abroad for a year. He said "Well we're not married yet, so you still have time." And when I asked him about it he yelled at me for putting words in his mouth!
I am a 19 year old male and like your self a self aware narcissist. I've been aware of NPD for over a year and as soon as I heard of the disorder I knew I had it as I read through the symptoms I was amazed it was my whole personality in a nut shell. I spoke with my GP hoping for some sort of diagnoses but was turned down and basically told no he didn't even attempt to diagnose me. Any advise? P.S thumbs up for the documentary MANIA it was informative
@54641231 realising the question wasn't originally directed at me. But I'd say seek out a second GP opinion. Sounds to me like you were highly wasting your time with the one you saw. And if possible, request a referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist.
