Ignorance......and immaturity are a constant feature of open fora like this. Hoarseness. Different from raspiness, a condition common to singers for obvious reasons. Hoarseness would prevent her from singing, period. But I go with the latter part of Ciarra06283's comment and that is more a general thing with the change of direction Mariah took with her music and some of the company she was keeping.
