  • are there any superchargers for the 2.4l ld9 engine?

  • you should swap to the series lll L32 with a L26 bottom end

  • how easy was this swap? iv got grand prix and may get my hands on a grand am so may do the swap cuz the grand ams are a lighter.

  • i timed this and my stop watch says 5.59 seconds

  • ehhhhh sorry dude hate to burst ur bubble but it was more like 7 sec

  • have you had this car on a dyno yet or aleast at the track

  • lot of lights on the dash there buddy!

  • @TractorWorld LOL thats true

  • @TractorWorld that's normal. i had all the lights on the dashboard on my grand am all the time... the gauges weren't working too lol

  • how the hell did you squeeze a 3.8 in there??

  • @toofst911 he doesnt share his information on the swap on here only on the forums

  • yo dude wht CAI do you have in your car? i am looking to get one for my car and i have the same year and make of you car!! PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ respond

  • This is very nice, i have a 93 GP with a l36 bottom end with a s/c top swap, my problem is i dont believe im sending enough fuel to the rail, i still have a 3.1 fuel pump, did you have to change your fuel pump? Let me know, thanks!

  • @DelawareGP I'm still running the stock grand am fuel pump and it's holding up fine so far with the engine lightly modded w/ the typical 3.4" pulley setup. What makes you think you're not getting enough fuel? If your top-swap is the only mod, it's incredibly likely you're seeing massive amounts of kr on the stock sc pulley b/c of the higher compression of the L36. Have you scanned for kr?

  • @DeathbyBinary Your computer could be pulling a lot of timing to counteract the knock, and robbing you of a lot of power in the process

  • @DelawareGP go to thrashercharged.comthey have alot of info on swapped motors for the l67 series

  • god daam, nice.

  • Cut out the tire spin and easily 5 sec flat.

  • Damn didn't even sound like it was working hard at all. I've got an '05 GA GT coupe and I'm waiting for someone to figure out how to do a 5.3 V8 swap from Grand Prix GXP LOL. Would be REALLY badass if I could make it RWD also but yeah right LOL

  • @byronmohawk

Its possiable but it take alot of work and alot of gutting out the under neath of your car to fit the new drive axle

  • Im eventually going to put the L67 in my 93 Grand am GT 4 Door Sedan. Does anybody know of any problems I will or could potentially run in to??? Anything will help.

  • was it hard to do the swap b/c i got an 01 Grand am w/a bad motor and i wanna do the 3800 swap

  • @GMCboy1500

yeah i got the same problem with my grand am. have you done anything about it yet? i would like to no if it can be done cause ive never hear of anyone doing it to a newer style grand am? ive got a 99

  • That was pretty fuckin fast!

  • hey budy could you please make a video of the motor, because i have a car like this, and it runs great, but not like your, i just want to know what did you do. Thx a lot xd

  • What was needed for the swap, aside from the Motor/Tranny? Custom half-shafts? A custom motor mount?

  • Great work! If i had the resources I would love to do this (unfortunately I possess neither the cash or competence at this time...)

I think the Grand Am would be the perfect swap because they are lighter than the GTP and similar W body cars.

But, good work. I am a fan!

  • I love how theres 5 diff check lights on

  • I would guess it has something to do with the engine being swapped and the computer is unhappy and stuff not hooke up yet or something.

  • Yeah, thats what it is..The comp thinks its a 2.4 I4 or 3.1 V6..And a totally new tranny..So the car is retarded now lol

  • @Russell042 The other engine was the 3.4L V6 in the Grand Ams actually, the 3.4 SFI. I like the 3.8s better, I've got on of those.

  • @DystruktoBoi1 No, it'd be the 3100 SFI V6 or the 2.4L DOHC for 96-98 Grand Ams.. The 3400 series were available from 99-02 if i'm not mistaken..

  • @xj220se O yes, thats my bad I didnt pay attention to the year, I was thinking this was a 00 and up model grand am. Yea this V6 would be the 3.1 you're right.

  • @Russell042 prolly cuz he swapped motors and nothing on his new one works with his old one so all his gauges are flipping out for now lol.

  • One of the best engine sounds in existence. I want to swap one of these in my cavalier in the future.....

  • wow!!!!!!!!
