My hair came out straight with a little wave, is it because I just did it yesterday? I hope so and I didn't oil my hair b4 I put the tex in does that matter? I miss my curls already
So when you are transitioning which I am, do you do it while your transitioning or after you start seeing the curl pattern, because i dont want it to go straight as some people say. Im confused?
i really wanted to go natural if being getting sew ins for 11 months in transioning and now i want a softer curl my hair is a little more kinky than yours if i put the texturizer on with it make my hair curly or staight ?
your meant to put half in the mix and the other half in your hair before you apply the texture softener so its stops your hair from breaking just thought id let you know for future applications ;/
It probabaly says 12 weeks because its usually 12 weeks you should wait before getting a fresh texturizer. So its basically saying you will notice your roots in 12 weeks rather than suggesting the texturizer only lasts 12 weeks. I get my hair texturized too :)
I have thick wavy+frizzy hair (I am hispanic girl) and I want my hair to have no texture in it. Can I straighten my hair with a flat iron and apply this product afterwards? Or do I comb it and pull on it when the product is in it?
Also, what nail polish are your wearing? It's gorgeous.
love your video. fyi 12 weeks is 3mo. your hair grows about 1/2 in. a month so in three month your hair would have grown 1 1/2 in. (new growth). Therefore the boxs info is telling you to retouch or in your case reapply all over in 12wks. (3mo.)
i just want to say that your not naturally at all.
sorry to tell you the true..... you say that you are going to embrace your hair but your not. so please dont put up something that not true.... cuz i was look for natural hair not relaxed
@iceprincessnc If you read the description it doesn't say natural. The just for me texturizer is a hair relaxer; so I think she knows her hair isn't natural. (:
Good video but you NEED to wear gloves since our fingertips are so sensitive. If you choose not too, DO YOU. I really like your hair and I tried this texturizer because of your video. I really like my results
i am a boy and i was wonder are all texturizers the same. i hear different terms such as s-scurl texturizers and texturizer softener. are they the same? i want my hair like this.
i have a question? i have curly hair but the texture is course, so when put a moisturiser to curl my hair my curls dont come out all the way, will just for me help solfen my hair so that my hair curls up more
i have a question? i have curly hair but the texture is course, so when put a moisturiser to curl my hair my curls dont come out all the way, will just for me help solfen my hair so that my hair curls up more
I've been thinking about texturizing my hair but I'm 4a/4b-ish so I know my results won't be the same as yours. Sooo.. I really don't know what to expect the results to be on kinky hair like mines.. :/
i thought black people relaxers didnt work on mixed people? but im no expert or anything in fact im a guy, i actually got here because i was looking at the s curl vids and one of them led me here. my little sister is biracial like this girl and she said she cant use relaxers because her hair is to straight. But like i said im no expert if i do use the s curl stuff that'll be my first time relaxing my hair by the way ur hot.
@TheIceiing lol a texturizer is just as harsh as a relaxer. they all use the same chemicals or equivalent. thats the lie they tell you to keep you buying it and using it. dont be fooled. go to any chemist and they will confirm this to you.texturizers and relaxers are the same thing
@markworlding relaxers do work on mixed ppl... actually relaxers work on anyone who wants their hair straighter... i know a lot of dominicans who use them... also white women use perms on the straight hair to get it curlier
Im going to be texturizing my hair with this brand soon and i had a question. So, i know you said that your hair is supposed to be "dirty" and not manipulated for a couple days before you do texturize your hair. So is it okay to texturize your hair with whatever product that is already in your hair like a leave-in conditioner or r u supposed to have just an oil like coconut oil only in your hair?
Hi, I have 3c hair, my father is italian and mother is African American & Cherokee. When I was 9, my hair was relaxed and continously relaxed til I was 13, when I decided to go natural. Now, Im currently 14 and kind of sick of having my hair natural and was thinking about getting a texturizer, but I still have relaxed hair, so I was wondering, since I still have relaxed hair, could I get a texturizer? Or would I have to cut all my permed hair off?
Can you straighten your hair when you have a texturizer in it.? I want to try it out but I was told that you cant use a flat iron when thats in your hair, you have to let it grow out. & I love my hair straight, I just want to switch it up a bit.
@arabianprncess09 maybe you used too much....the amount that was used in this video was not enough nor was in long enough to do much to the texture of the hair
@arabianprncess09 when did you do it and maybe you should have left it in for a shorter amount of time..i leave it in for a total of about 8 min including application...for me, my curls look kinda wacy and not curly for the first week, than its gets curlier later..so dont worry
@arabianprncess09 I did it about a week ago and I only kept it in for 3mins bc I was scared it would make my hair straight like a perm. since its a chemical I'll need to wait until it grows out before my curls come back correct? ugh I want to cry lol
Hi my hair is natural and 3C type. I'm going to apply a texturizer to it because of manageability and because it is so thick and tangles a lot. I really like the way your hair looks and would like mine that way also. So the first time you put texturizer in your hair did u put the chemicals in your hair like part by part inch by inch and comb through every strand like it says to do in the instructions or did u apply the chemicals the same way you did in this video?
I think we have similar curl pattern. I am half black and korean and I want to losen my curls so I can do twist outs without the poof. But I have some heat damage on the top layer of my hair. With the curls looser, in your opinion do you think the heat damage will be noticeable?
I am half Korean and half black and we have very similar natural curl pattern. I want to be able to still do twist outs or wash and go's but also flat iron straight without the poof. I think a texturizer is my best route. I also want to add color, I should wait and do color after right? Also, I have a bit of heat dama
don't do it girl....your hair will break. I NEVER LEARNED. i did this once...then my hair broke off...i grew it out all natural and then like an ass i did it again.....now i am 100% natural.
if you said you have heat damage..honey that's a horrible idea....and then you want to add color?! are you trying to break off all your hair??omg.. please don't do it.. you will regret it.. at least i have..
your mixed like myself...your hair isn't meant for this stuff. no ones hair is...
I wouldnt think you need to do this to your hair because it seems quite wavy 3b hair anyway.ib be too scared to do this!..but because its a 'weak' relaxer i guess it just makes your curls more wavy...then curly
@rubyebonycurls good thing that never happened tho right? as you can see ..my hair is still in a curly state after the texturizer..ive been doing this by myself for 5years now..but like i said ..this is how i do it..other can change it depending on how thier hair is..i did this video because i got a ton of requests....
why do you use the kids one? i know texturizer is a dull version of relaxer, but do you use the just for me kids brand because that is even duller than adult texturizer or do it just contain different things that you like better, or...? just curious because i have crazy nappy hair that im definitely considering texturizing soon. thank you :). nice video btw
@ElleToThe the adult texturizer contains more chemicals then the kids texturizer and the kids texturizer makes your hair a little bit more managible. I know cause i use the kids texturizers and my mom does too cause she doesnt like the adult texturizer.. We use it on my cousin hair which is very hard to comb out and her hair is very soft and managible.
Heyy :) this was a great video. I went natural for a whol year and was looking for a texturizer that was good for me. I have 4a hair. So I decided to try this. It gave me the s curl shape and took well to certain parts of my hair( the back)and a little bit up frount but up frount its still "poofy" like nothing happened at all >.< Lol so do you think I should get another one and apply it up frount where it still looks like its not done or try something else? :(
im siked ,yet scared why do some people say that they lost thr curl pattern..my daughters hair is uber thick n curly and dry half puertorican/black and her curls in the front l.r sides are looser then the curls in back l.r sections....should i just texurize the back??? and i would hate for her to loose her ringlet curls just dont leav it on as long i guess..
@sassyelnumerouno hi i just wanted to say had the same problem but i got it anyway... the same kind she has and it turned out great!!! i get it 3 times a year n when i want my hair straight i just straighten it. it stays for about 2 months.... when i want a natural look i wet it. best of both worlds my hair was tooooo curly now its manageable!!
how long did you leave it in for because i want to keep a curly pattern in my hair. some women leave it in for way too long and might as well have used a relaxer for how straight it comes out
I use to apply this stuff when my hair was flat ironed. it would literally take me 2 min to apply. lol I use to also skip the gloves and tarnished a few rings and felt like my finger print was softened. haha
you should use gloves loL! we are about the same hair type as well 3c but i use a texurizer to get my hair a 3b as well so its more wavy curly.. but you should still use gloves gurl your gonna end up with burns on ur hands!
I have a mix of 3c and 4a hair, and the Just For Me Texturizer works fine. Maybe everyone should try out and follow the directions on the paper inside the box instead of following the video word for Word or going to the salon for a professional to do it. It is not @TheIceiing 's fault that your hair did not come out right. I'll put my own YT vid out for the 3c and 4's people hopefully that will work.
My hair is EXACTLY like yours, but i am natural, thinkin about doin a texturizer, i do want to define my curls, i am using SCurl Activer, which helps my curls, but only for a short time, my hair tends to get very, very frizzy by mid morning, so most of the time i have it in a bun.
how do you prep your hair for this ? I was recently transitioning from a relaxer to natural but I decided I wanted to get a texturizer. how do I prep my hair for this when it comes to washing before hand and scratching is it the same as relaxers or differnt?
@PrettyPleaseee yea ssame for the relaxer..you do it on dirty hair... ans you shouldnt scratch cus it will burn in those areas..because this is sooo mild you dont need to do all tht
And btw im naturally a 3c grade of hair im gettibg my first texutrizer tomorrow and im a little scared for it because ive never put huge chemicals in my hair. How old were you when you got your first texturizer ? And did it always look as good as it did the first time you got it done ?
Hi I am an hair stylist, and I came across your video and I saw that you just gave yourself a relaxer. I don't know weather or not you used that conditioner that came with the just 4 me but that conditioner is straight protein! Then I saw that you used Alphogee another protein! So Im not sure if u used alphogee in place of just 4 me conditioner, but I just hope u didn't use both because too much protein can SEVERELY break and damage the hair.
i'm planning on doing a texturizer on saturday, i've been doing them for many years now. I wanted to ask you if you think it would be a good idea to put a jet black rinse right after. I would apply it after i do the hair moisturizing complex. The rinse says you can relax and color the same day but i just wanted to check with you if it was okay or not?
i realize yuu said you have died yur hair in previous videos and im going to use this but it says not to use it on permently died hair and i died my hair too but does anything bad happen should i not use it or go ahead and do it
@12popadoc yea i died my hair a lottttt...its says that becuase it can be very damaging to the hair when you put it through soo much chemicals... my hair is pretty strong and can tak that but you have to know your hair. if your hair is already very thin then i do not suggest this at all
the first time u did ur hair.hw did u knw wat curl pattern u wud have after applyin the texurizer?Im almost 5yr recovering( creamy crack)A.K.A, perm ,relaxer that burn the crap out of ur sclap.Im so scared to try the texturizer .I dnt want a straight look ,i just want the curls to pop like urs.My daughter wants to try the texturizer she 12yrs old in middle skool but nt sure wat the out come wud be like.she has 3b in frnt n 3c in middle n back .any advice hw to do her hair.?
@sunsilks they have a chart in the instructions of what curl patter it should come out to be. if you dont want the straight look, than just do whAt i did. i didnt leave it in for too long. well i dont think she should get the texturizer only because she has curls that i want lol..3b..
i want to make my hair more of a wavy style to make it easier to style my hair everyday.especially since my hair is alot curlier after cutting it short.thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for posting this video my hair is 4b and after researching it seems as though people with 4b hair who get a texturizer it comes out straight like a perm. Your experince is a clear indication that it depends on how long you keep it in since your hair is like a 3c I think u mention & u got it to be a 3b now so u still have curl definition. Its not straight!!! Cool
@urbanChic1 yeah..from the comments i been getting, i guess it doesnt work for all hair types..like a kinkyer pattern would have a dif result..so if you try it, be careful..
@prettygrlism thanks. Well what's weird is that I have like loose curls but they don't really like to form. It's like I dnt really have a curl pattern . The texturizer just helps with clumping
@hizzgurrl thanks! and it depends how long you leave it in for and ive also seen reviews on this saying they didnt like the results so be careful if you do try it
My hair came out straight with a little wave, is it because I just did it yesterday? I hope so and I didn't oil my hair b4 I put the tex in does that matter? I miss my curls already

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but that application was not done very well. It could easily lead to over processing.
rubyebonycurls 7 months ago
@rubyebonycurls good thing that never happened tho right? as you can see ..my hair is still in a curly state after the texturizer..ive been doing this by myself for 5years now..but like i said ..this is how i do it..other can change it depending on how thier hair is..i did this video because i got a ton of requests....
TheIceiing 7 months ago
hey . that would have been so much easier if you had sectioned your hair off... then you wouldnt have to worry about missing any parts
keeblerelves133 7 months ago
why do you use the kids one? i know texturizer is a dull version of relaxer, but do you use the just for me kids brand because that is even duller than adult texturizer or do it just contain different things that you like better, or...? just curious because i have crazy nappy hair that im definitely considering texturizing soon. thank you :). nice video btw
ElleToThe 7 months ago
@ElleToThe because i never seen an adult one and my hair isnt very kinky curly naturally as you saw, so i dont need anything harsh
TheIceiing 7 months ago
@TheIceiing okay kool, thank you!
ElleToThe 7 months ago

im siked ,yet scared why do some people say that they lost thr curl pattern..my daughters hair is uber thick n curly and dry half puertorican/black and her curls in the front l.r sides are looser then the curls in back l.r sections....should i just texurize the back??? and i would hate for her to loose her ringlet curls just dont leav it on as long i guess..
sassyelnumerouno 7 months ago
@sassyelnumerouno on the instructions it shows how long you should leave it in
TheIceiing 7 months ago
@sassyelnumerouno hi i just wanted to say had the same problem but i got it anyway... the same kind she has and it turned out great!!! i get it 3 times a year n when i want my hair straight i just straighten it. it stays for about 2 months.... when i want a natural look i wet it. best of both worlds my hair was tooooo curly now its manageable!!
girrlygirl11 7 months ago
How long did you leave it on for? And what was the total time the chemical was on your hair, including the application time? Thank you :)
glana13 7 months ago
have you had a relaxxer, or have you JUST have texturizers done to your hair?
sharlynmerat1 7 months ago
how long did you leave it in for because i want to keep a curly pattern in my hair. some women leave it in for way too long and might as well have used a relaxer for how straight it comes out

I use to apply this stuff when my hair was flat ironed. it would literally take me 2 min to apply. lol I use to also skip the gloves and tarnished a few rings and felt like my finger print was softened. haha
supajenny 8 months ago
you should use gloves loL! we are about the same hair type as well 3c but i use a texurizer to get my hair a 3b as well so its more wavy curly.. but you should still use gloves gurl your gonna end up with burns on ur hands!
SuperBlackbeauty19 8 months ago 6
Im getting a texturizer next week. And im natural and a 3c.
I watch other peoples videos and their hair turned out completely straight. but i want my hair to be wavy lie how yours turned out.
So im afraid that my hair will come out too straight.

Umm I want to transation from relaxer to natural would this help
sadednns 8 months ago
I have a mix of 3c and 4a hair, and the Just For Me Texturizer works fine. Maybe everyone should try out and follow the directions on the paper inside the box instead of following the video word for Word or going to the salon for a professional to do it. It is not @TheIceiing 's fault that your hair did not come out right. I'll put my own YT vid out for the 3c and 4's people hopefully that will work.

I've never seen anyone just randomly grab hair and apply relaxer like that, lol wow
AshleyLaShun2 9 months ago 3
before applying it. . You should set your hair in 4 sections, that way it won't take as long to apply it. : D
char2ewkewl 9 months ago
My hair is EXACTLY like yours, but i am natural, thinkin about doin a texturizer, i do want to define my curls, i am using SCurl Activer, which helps my curls, but only for a short time, my hair tends to get very, very frizzy by mid morning, so most of the time i have it in a bun.

is the texutrizer right for my 3a curly hair?
jessicaplease1 9 months ago
how do you prep your hair for this ? I was recently transitioning from a relaxer to natural but I decided I wanted to get a texturizer. how do I prep my hair for this when it comes to washing before hand and scratching is it the same as relaxers or differnt?
PrettyPleaseee 9 months ago
@PrettyPleaseee yea ssame for the relaxer..you do it on dirty hair... ans you shouldnt scratch cus it will burn in those areas..because this is sooo mild you dont need to do all tht
TheIceiing 9 months ago
You really didn't need a texturizer, but your hair is really pretty anyway.
natrlchallenge 10 months ago
And btw im naturally a 3c grade of hair im gettibg my first texutrizer tomorrow and im a little scared for it because ive never put huge chemicals in my hair. How old were you when you got your first texturizer ? And did it always look as good as it did the first time you got it done ?

whoa! u put it on with your bare hands? lol
tdvaval1 10 months ago
Hi I am an hair stylist, and I came across your video and I saw that you just gave yourself a relaxer. I don't know weather or not you used that conditioner that came with the just 4 me but that conditioner is straight protein! Then I saw that you used Alphogee another protein! So Im not sure if u used alphogee in place of just 4 me conditioner, but I just hope u didn't use both because too much protein can SEVERELY break and damage the hair.
msprettybri 10 months ago
@msprettybri hello..no i didnt use the protien pack it came with..i justnused the aphogee and i know.

TheIceiing 10 months ago
hey nadia !
i'm planning on doing a texturizer on saturday, i've been doing them for many years now. I wanted to ask you if you think it would be a good idea to put a jet black rinse right after. I would apply it after i do the hair moisturizing complex. The rinse says you can relax and color the same day but i just wanted to check with you if it was okay or not?
91jpierre 11 months ago
ive always gotten relaxers so i wondered how texturizers worked.cool vid
court124 11 months ago
i realize yuu said you have died yur hair in previous videos and im going to use this but it says not to use it on permently died hair and i died my hair too but does anything bad happen should i not use it or go ahead and do it
12popadoc 11 months ago
@12popadoc yea i died my hair a lottttt...its says that becuase it can be very damaging to the hair when you put it through soo much chemicals... my hair is pretty strong and can tak that but you have to know your hair. if your hair is already very thin then i do not suggest this at all
TheIceiing 11 months ago
the first time u did ur hair.hw did u knw wat curl pattern u wud have after applyin the texurizer?Im almost 5yr recovering( creamy crack)A.K.A, perm ,relaxer that burn the crap out of ur sclap.Im so scared to try the texturizer .I dnt want a straight look ,i just want the curls to pop like urs.My daughter wants to try the texturizer she 12yrs old in middle skool but nt sure wat the out come wud be like.she has 3b in frnt n 3c in middle n back .any advice hw to do her hair.?
sunsilks 11 months ago
@sunsilks they have a chart in the instructions of what curl patter it should come out to be. if you dont want the straight look, than just do whAt i did. i didnt leave it in for too long. well i dont think she should get the texturizer only because she has curls that i want lol..3b..
TheIceiing 11 months ago
i want to make my hair more of a wavy style to make it easier to style my hair everyday.especially since my hair is alot curlier after cutting it short.thanks for the feedback!
TheMagz89 11 months ago
would you recommend this for short 3a/3b hair?
TheMagz89 11 months ago
@TheMagz89 well i guess it would depend on the hair you want..i want that type of hair so i wouldnt do it lol

Great video Hun
shorty2sweet59 11 months ago
Thanks for posting this video my hair is 4b and after researching it seems as though people with 4b hair who get a texturizer it comes out straight like a perm. Your experince is a clear indication that it depends on how long you keep it in since your hair is like a 3c I think u mention & u got it to be a 3b now so u still have curl definition. Its not straight!!! Cool
urbanChic1 11 months ago
@urbanChic1 yeah..from the comments i been getting, i guess it doesnt work for all hair types..like a kinkyer pattern would have a dif result..so if you try it, be careful..
TheIceiing 11 months ago
@TheIceiing Yeah I'm relaxed now but thinking about going natural....& if I do a texturizer yeah Ill definitely be careful. Thanks for the advice.
urbanChic1 11 months ago
@prettygrlism thanks. Well what's weird is that I have like loose curls but they don't really like to form. It's like I dnt really have a curl pattern . The texturizer just helps with clumping
