Problems with the new layout: for starters your background can hardly be seen. you cant change the colors of borders, links and text, all is entirely gray. no transparency options either. in the old channel everything can be seen at a single page, now you have to open a new page for viewing channel comments, videos, and playlists. you can't watch videos on your channel too. plus you need to load 10 more videos every time you browse the vids of another YT channel.
Whoever thought of the new Channel page layout has a genuine talent - Nay! A Genius! - for making things ugly, difficult, and unworkable. This design guy's talent could be a better use.
Put him in a disguise, teach him Farsi, and infiltrate him in to Iran's nuclear program. Within 3 months, tops, the Iran bomb program will be a shambles, just as YouTube is now.

Well, all channels switched to the new design. This is what I call the following of the Facebook infrastructure. No matter how much it sucks at first, we all get used to it eventually.
Seriously, if you want to send a message to YouTube about their ridiculous channel design, simply hide all of your YouTube content. Hide your channel and make all of your videos private - if everyone does this, it will scare the hell out of them. They won't listen to your feedback, but they will be forced to act when their ad revenue takes a major hit. I have done what I have described, please consider doing the same.

The old channel layout was good. Easy, simple, well thought-out and cool to customize. The new one looks like it's been made by drunken morons who have about as much creativity as a fish.
The vast majority of YouTube's user base has been fighting these layout changes for months. How does YouTube respond? They say NOTHING during this whole time, then force the changes on us without explaining why they decided to ignore us. Channels are dead, friends and communicating on YouTube is almost dead, I'm disgusted with YouTube right now.

ZippCast has features exactly like YT. Also, you can see your AVATAR on VIDEO COMMENTS -unlike this shit. You can upload Audio and Picture files without uploading a entire video. As of Jan 24, ZippCast has gotten more and more traffic. And there are still plenty of cool usernames that are not taken yet!
ZippCast is RISING, and soon Googletube will just be a LOST CAUSE like Myspace.

It appears that YouTube is trying to keep 'hip and trendy' by constantly churning out channel updates all the time; however, it would be quite useful if these updates didn't make the channels MORE INCONVENIENT to use than before! Who at YouTube's headquarters came up with this idea?

The new channel design is total crap. The old channel design is perfect for youtube just the way it is and needs no updating whatsoever. I do like the new and improved home page though. Wish they would keep the home page as it is now and keep the old profile channel design as it was.

So, I can't see my favorites here, so annoying. I use to play some OST I have stuck in my head by using that feature on my channel, now it's gone. It's good for people who upload, not at all for personal use :| and it's forced on you next month.

I'm starting to like the new Youtube. I use the "Feed" on this channel a lot, so I can easily see when new Terraria gameplay gets uploaded. OK not a lot - maybe once every second day lol.

JOIN ZIPPCAST EVERYONE...Zippcast is the same as YouTube. And they actually LISTEN to the people! ...unlike YT =/ It's channel design looks like the old YT design from 07-08. You can get featured without having millions of views. You can : Watch Videos, Upload Videos, Rate Videos, Sub people, Friend people, Comment videos, and Other cool features that YT doesn't have. PLEASE, I urge you to check it out! I hate saying this, but PLEASE thumbs up! So this can get the attention of the people of YT.

ZippCast has features exactly like YT. Also, you can see your AVATAR on VIDEO COMMENTS -unlike this shit. You can upload Audio and Picture files without uploading a entire video. As of Jan 24, ZippCast has gotten more and more traffic. And there are still plenty of cool usernames that are not taken yet!
ZippCast is RISING, and soon Googletube will just be a LOST CAUSE like Myspace.

I like how we'll be forced into the new channel design soon regardless. Its design is quite irritating. Most importantly: Why did they decide to remove the 'channel-internal' video player? Every time I select a video from my list I'm thrown back out of my channel, it's really quite irritating.

It appears that YouTube is trying to keep 'hip and trendy' by constantly churning out channel updates all the time; however, it would be quite useful if these updates didn't make the channels MORE INCONVENIENT to use than before! Who at YouTube's headquarters came up with this idea?

The new channel design is total crap. The old channel design is perfect for youtube just the way it is and needs no updating whatsoever. I do like the new and improved home page though. Wish they would keep the home page as it is now and keep the old profile channel design as it was.
