  • Can elaborate on how you got the spaceship to emit the light?

  • @muzammil623

The Lens flares and glow was made in post

    the glow in Blender

and the lens flares in Adobe After Effects

  • @moviemastersdk Thank you so very much for your response :D

  • awesome!!! ;) can you help me, please??? how did you make the blue flareout at the end?? thanks a lot ;)

  • nice

  • impressive

  • @nhnifong

    Thx, :)

  • can you PLEASE help me make similar spaceship? Could you post any tutorials you used or even post one up yourself??

  • @muzammil623

So far, you need blender 2.49b to do this

    1. make a rough mesh, outlining the shape and size of your spaceship

    2. Use the discombobulator scripts (search the internet if you don't know how)

    3. Done

    PS:

if you want the blue light, i just used select similar faces,

  • @moviemastersdk Did you have a preliminary 2D sketch work off of? Or did you just wing it?

  • @muzammil623

Designed it on the go :P

  • Can I use this in a fan trailer?

  • @PrimaveraPictures

    of course :D

    link me when its done

  • @moviemastersdk It's done, lol, watch?v=GPcl0yaTA4o

  • How much time did you spend only for the engine design quality?

  • I love the huge flareout at the end. One small gripe (though this may have been your intention) is that the spacecraft looks a bit plasticy. Still, a very interesting design.

  • SiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCK!

  • @JoshGTAM

    the Discombobulator script, yes :D

  • this is huuuuge, nice work

  • sweeeeet! ... btw: how did you make that awesome glow on the engines?

  • @Buemmo

the awesome glow on the engines was made in an awesome program called adobe after effects, :D

  • @moviemastersdk yeah ok then. i was just looking for a way making such a glow directly applied to the model (btw im using blender)

  • @Buemmo

if you have seen such effects on other blender videos, it,s not applied directly to the model,

try to do a search for the blender 3d node compositor, then you'll find some great tutorials on how to use it

    :D

  • @moviemastersdk ok thx. well im quite a newbie in making blender animations so i never had to face that problem til now as all the games use bones to display effects like these

  • @Buemmo

    ur making a game?

  • @moviemastersdk no. but i modified some of Supreme Commander Forged Alliances units. e.g. we made a long range bomber so i added some fuel tanks n stuff

  • No sound in space! No space for you!

  • @Hritzness

Imagine star wars with no sound....

  • do you have to know any special coding to make something like this in Blender? I guess I will have to look more at Blender videos.

  • @Timothy2035

Sorry for the slow reply ,

but kno.. you don't really have to know any extremely advanced coding to learn blender, its pretty straight forward,. just follow the tutorials on blendercookie(dot)com or blenderguru(dot)com

    :D

  • @moviemastersdk oh okay and thanks for replying and the info. I will check those two places out.

  • best bit was the engines. the rest kinda sucked.

  • @2001urchm

thats kinda the only reason i uploaded this :D
