Mostly all countries are. it's our beliefs that guide our moral decisions. so if most of the government is christian than yes your gonna see christian moral decisions. just like if you an atheist have to make a decision you would go by what you personally believe is right.
what we believe is right isnt always our own free will either though. it can matter depending on how you are raise and how your environment around you is. humans too do have natural moral like nature. this i wouldnt really call morals but simply their nature. i dunno why i need to tell you this but thought i would haha.

I think pedophilia is wrong but I would use a slightly different argument against it. I think young people might actually want sex from older people sometimes, but its inherently wrong because a young person (a person less than 16) doesn't have the mental capacity to realize how much it will scar him later on. The age of consent laws in the US vary from state to state, but the MINIMUM age of consent is 16. for some others it's 17, and for others 18. People who argue about this make me wonder are you objecting to where the age cutoff is or are you saying we shouldn't have a cutoff? at one time it was lower, but it's 18 in every state of the union right now. what you're thinking of are a few states that have rules for when people who are BOTH under 17 have sex. there are weird rules as far as how many years between them can happen and so forth (and may be gender specific). people who are sixteen in some states can marry another 16 year old if both sets of parents/guardians agree (arranged marriage essentially) but it's rare.

I checked, jinnypigs4life, and age of consent in SC is 16 (not 12). adults having sex with kids is still messed up, whatever the law says, and would you really trust kids to be having sex with other kids? Some states have rules wherein a minor can have sex with someone that is "less than X years younger" but you end up with some pretty crazy situations like a 14 year old having sex with a 10 year old or a 16 year old with a 7 year old (which is messed up any way you look at it!)

well, I actually agreed with you for the most part Jezuzfreek, what a suprise. I think pedophilia in humans will innatly cause problems for the child and that the laws by the state aren't the musings of a fascist state trying to push their values on others, but actually needed. Really dude; the reason doesn't matter: it's the consensus and WILLINGNESS. We're talking about willing consensual adult-child relations. For example, a wife may want to please her husband and so has sex with him when he commands it. So, first we have to know what is causing the emotional baggage; we automatically assume it's the sex because it follows after, but we need to re-examine. "Children do not want sex" is a myth; children have sexual needs. Moreso, it's a generalization, anyhow.

Bestiality is wrong because we cannot know if an animal is consenting or not, thus it is wrong. However, bestiality is a sexual act, not an orientation/attraction in itself; such as pedophilia. If we were able to humanly recognize whether animals are consenting or not to a sexual situation, then bestiality wouldn't be wrong at all. That's the difference. But we can tell if a child consents or not, and etc.. Too complex of a difference.

The responses of abused kids vary but are as follows: Fear of punishment, fear of retaliation by the adult, fear of clear threats made(God will punish you,you will got to hell, tell your(other parent) and I will hurt you), adoration for the adult, this is normal behavior, all adults do this to kids.

The abuse victims I have talked with give clear and precise reasons they were afraid. None of the reasons indicate any prior fears or opinions about abuse.

I have been helping abuse victims voluntarily for a long time. Equally, I have been fighting pedophilia, both on the street and on the internet. This video brings up a lot of valid points and should not be ignored. I am not seeing this from a religious perspective, as I am not quite sure yet what my beliefs are. Time will tell.
Many pedophiles, who have been convicted of child molestation, have said that the child liked it, even when the boy or girl is seen crying and screaming.
