The best run was at night by the US Male. 5.85 if I remember correctly at around 230mph w/the blue header flames up to the roof of the car! I remember when they ran like that w/a 32 car field when I was a kid! (oops, I'm dating myself) That's when it was still drag racing & not sponsorship driven like today. Oh well....
@MoxieMike66 We are only a couple years apart in age, I remember going with my parents to the Fall Funny Car Nationals. My dad's favorite was the Durachrome Bug Funny Car and my mom loved the wheelstanders. I remember when I got a little tired the noise used to bother me and my mom would take me to the car...what a wimp...none of my kids do that and if they did I would make them suck it up!! lol
@robzneed4speed My family has been involved w/the track since it's inception. My dad raced there(and help to build it, literally) and my mom and I both worked there. All 3 of us are stockholders & my dad used to be a Board of Director. I don't go as much as I used to unless someone's going to be there I know. Although I did go to the Nostalgia FC one of course.....
I went to that meet. It's a shame crazy jake car didn't run as good as it looked. The U.S. Male car was awesome though! Just like the old day's! If they could get a few more like him to show up and run that would be a pretty good event!

@MoxieMike66 I was excited when I walked through the pits to the stands to see all the Nostalgia Funnies. It was great!
