He did play in Vegas! He played there for 3 weeks, every night. And he was offered to stay for longer but he wanted to go back to Ireland and tour in Europe. He never liked staying in one place, he liked being on the road. Great artist! He is missed! RIP Joe Dolan!!

:-) I only found out myself. I became a Joe Dolan fan only last year, when I heard some of his songs by accident (my mum was listening to some). He was popular in Romania too (I'm Romanian) but I was too young then. But now that I'm a grown up I truly appreciate his music. I only wish I could have gone to one of his concerts... He's got so much charisma!

I agree with you...I first heard A joe song back in 1978 when my father brought a vinyl 45 single of I Need you...Brilliant song1...That was the song that got me hooked...I have been a fan ever since.If you are looking for any of his cds there are plenty on e.bay.

You Irish were lucky that Joe spent his life at home, if he stayed in the USA , he would have been #1 here too. I was planning to fly to Mullingar with my wife and daughters to see him, but no luck, that was the time he cancelled due to sickness, I have a seven year old who adores him. RIP

ireland we were so lucky to have joe dolan,to sing here most of his life , people here have great nights with joe dolan, always to look back on ,i went to see him in the 2000. a night i will never forget,his brother ben on saxaphone it was really fab, always a fan ,sadly missed r,i,p joe dolan
