I went to that gig! I'm sure I have some video and photos.
I came across one of Tristan & his bass a couple of days ago when I was looking for something else, strangely enough!
BOS gigs worked well.

it was called the band of strangers ... he used local musicians on a few gigs around the uk
me and me mate tristan got the job..in porth, s wales around 2001 so trist tells me!!
