Compared to your Il Trovatore, these sets are delightful, great improve! well all settings are awesome specially the Leonora's packed food castle. love your job, please keep producing those!!!
HAHA tears in my eyes 'never let her know a secret, she always tells' LOL I love how you keep basically the same meaning of the original lines but make it funny
omg this is amazing. i finally logged in for the first time in 4 years, just to comment. wow. I love tosca. i love legos. you have married the two. it's like the heavens opened up and rained inspiration that flooded into my heart. thank you. i am laughing, i am tingling.
I'm stuck in the environmental and cultural desert of Palmdale, California... oy... good friends there (all in theatre, so that's something) but still...
The closest I get is Met radio on XM... what's it actually LIKE there?
Hopefully I can go there someday, move to NYC and see a Pucinni (or G&S) there... and THE Mets of New York Town, my team (even when they DO collapse.)
AMAZI NG! I laugh a lot! I loved scarpia!! Great idea!! What about Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón´s Elisir da amor? or better try Massenet´s Manon!!!! I wuld love that hahaha
And how would it be to see Mim´s death with lego?? This was amazing!!
This made me laugh so hard I nearly wet my pants!!! Scarpia ROCKS!!! Stop motion would have ruined it. I would love to see "Bratz" doing Dialogue of the Carmelites!
Mirella Freni and Luciano Pavarotti in Lego form... Genius!!!
One suggestion though. Maybe you should consider painting on more appropriate costumes on the lego people instead of using as is. It would look off the hook!
I'm looking into that for the next opera. I've finally found a place on line where you can just buy lego body parts... it's a bizarre world out there.

The tenor is Pavarotti but who is the soprano? Scotto? Freni? Kabaivanska?

It's a very good idea, but i've just one questions, why don't you make your clip in stop motion?
ariafrero 3 years ago
WOW! To quote Arnold Rimmer "I laughed so hard I nearly puked"! Tosca is my favourite opera and I think this lego version is FANTASTIC! Well done.

Brilliant! Tosca is one of my favorites, so the freely translated subtitles are a special delight. :)

Absolutely fantastic. I don't know that this is what Sardou, Illica and Puccini had in mind...but the inventor of leggos...perhaps!

Pavarotti looks great as a lego-man -- He's lost so much weight! Tosca's outfit would be great on Minnie from Fanciulla...
