While it is generally true that Communism itself didn´t "fuck up" anything, it is also an indisputable fact that:
1. Most people associated with the Leftist movement persist in the absurdly uncritical glorification of all the movement´s key historical figures, hence taking, albeit inadvertently, the sting out of the movement´s ideological discourse. Marx, for all his due praise, had been ambivalent, if not overtly skeptical, cynical and generally
complacent in regard to anticolonial resistance movements throughout the "Third World"
2. Most leftist theorists have all these years systematically avoided (debates within) the Public Realm and engaging themselves personally in and with the ever-so-actual leftist topical issues: equality, workers´ rights, justice etc., opting instead for cushioned, insulated and cozy academic life, thereby leaving the pressingly urgent issues of today to the neolib. !
