  • So I replaced the whole front assembly and had everything working until I pushed the logic board back down and now it won't turn on (power button not working)

  • Wow iphone screen replacement is so easy and this is so difficult... Im lucky to have an iphone;)

  • Does this work cause I really wanna fix mine but I don't wanna break it or anything help?

  • Damn! That's mor complex than an iPhone 4S screen/LCD replacement!

  • hey ive did mines also and like the screen works but it doesnt respond to my touch or the volume buttons dont work :( can some please help me?

  • Hey guys, just wanted to say, i did my ipod screen today, if it doesnt turn back on and there are no visible breakages or anything wrong, try plugging it into your laptop or comp. Mine wasnt turning on so i decided to plug it into my comp, and itunes gave me the option to restore itas apparantly the ipod had gone into recovery mode, it took an hour or so, but my ipods working like brand new again :) x

  • How hot should the heat gun be?

  • @brieBETCH You most likely tore the power cable... A lot of time and money to fix that :/

  • @Person1359 im not sure how i would have, i barely touched and ribbons or cables. and nother in there looks broken? thanks though

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I'm still waiting for my new digitizer and LCD to come in the mail. Do you need new adhesives, hair drier and plastic clamps for this, or can you do it without them? I don't have any of those, so that's why I'm asking... Will post back how it works for me in a few days when I try it :)

  • The LCD ribbon at 10:46, is it supposed to snap down like the first one, or just be placed there? I can't seem to snap it down and my ipod still won't turn on.

  • my iPod is damaged i even did your tutorial! can you help me! can i go to the apple store

  • Hi. When i was replace the screen i forgot to put back the metal to protect the camera the question is. It is necessary to put it back if yes i need do everything again i scared crack the screen when the job is on? I hope you help me. Thanks. Carlos.

  • the copper tape is broken in to small pieces do i able to do with out it

  • just cracks in the screen, the multitouch works, camera, everything its working perfectly,

but now i make any little push to the screen and it flashes like a old plasma-screen, any kind of advice please? this was too expensive...in my coin convertion to dollars, like at least 570dollars. please tell me what i could do

  • hi, i've got a problem, i just let drop my ipod touch 4g and saw the video, but i'm from venezuela so it's really hard to get it fixed(with your video i see its possible) but there's only 1 apple store near to my country and i don't even think they know how to fix this...y think they only sell, and it's impossible for me to ship it to somewhere because we don't have dollars in venezuela practically...my problem its that the digitizer broke, because everything else works perfectly,

  • do i need to buy new adhesive for it? do i need to buy another lcd for it?

  • can i use a blow dryer instead of a heat gun?

  • @TRANEWANTED1 Yes you can.

  • I use that same technique with the clamps on the iPod after its finished. I actually bought the clamps from the 99 cent store. Love em. They are also good for holding the iPod down to a desk while banging out dents with one of the plastic pry tools. U have to break off the tip of the plastic pry tool though.

  • It's look extremely difficult...

  • greg please fuck my mouth

  • does the adhesive strips come with the tool kit?

  • ok i replaced it but the screen is white when i turned it on and the spring at top left is poping out and when i press on the spring and the power button nothing happens y? its just all white

  • @SilenceTearz Press and hold both the home and power buttons together till the iPod reboots.

  • I replaced my screen successfully but now my ipods camera quality is really bad and the speaker doesnt sound right what happened??

  • @Yessabub22 You probably broke the wire to the speaker and it is barley touching causing the scratchy sound.

  • If you buy any front glass, digitizer and lcd screen, will the ipod still have retina display?

  • @PwnUrDonkey The retina displace is provided by the oem screens. I have done over 200+ repairs on these iPods and I buy the knock off screens from China. Have never had any complaints about the screens and I personally can't tell a difference in quality.

  • HELP my screen is not turning on and I NEED HELP

  • i broke my ipod

  • thanks for your help. think that you should stress the bottom speaker more in your videos however becuase the blue and red cable break very easily

  • hey i accidentally took out a small piece from the plastic thing that snap the screen into place... what should i do and how much is for a new plastic frame.....

  • what kind of clamps are you using

  • I notice that you did not transfer the little steel bracket(one that goes around front facing lens),the reason i ask is because i replaced a screen myself and then realised that i had forgotten it but looking at this vid has kind of reassurred me that it is not too disasterous as it still seems to works fine

  • I don't know if my screen(glass) is cracked rf if it is the actual led screen is cracked

FYI: I use my iPod perfectly but there is a crack soo mabe that will help u answer my question

Any reply would be much appreciated

  • Can I send my iPod to u guys then u guys fix it then ship it back?

  • wqell i did all of that but when im trying to turn it on its all white please tell me what i should do next

  • @samantha5734 Somebody answer this question. I have the same problem

  • so if i got a white digitizer than the midframe will still be black?

  • @lildjmix08 Yes, the frame bordering the screen around the edges will remain black.

  • ummm hi sorry, but i tryed this and well, my problem is that my ipod is sort of flicking white (well has been) not the screen of death, it like is hard to explain like the screen is flickering in diffrent places not the whole thing, i can do stuff like music, but please helo

  • @ThinkingwithPortals0 The LCD may have damaged during installation. The best thing I can recommend is to try a new screen assembly.
