I like both cars. Fiesta I think is better looking. The Fit has more cargo space for stuff. Although Ford has a more luxury feeling inside due to the soft touch dash, etc...I don't like Ford's console cluster. looks confusing, but that is not a show stopper. Driving dynamics I give the edge to Ford. Reputation I give to Honda. It's a Honda. But Ford has done a fantasic job with this car and other cars the past few years. I like them both, but lean towards Fiesta.
it looks better, feels better, carries WAY more cargo, has usable back seats... plus every car reviewer has gotten better MPG in the fit than the fiesta.
This is dumb... They could've just ragged on the fit in one or two gears since this is by Ford. Not to mention they should have them both steady on cruise control at the same speed, which idk if they did
ya i've gotten 47 mpg the most on my fit(and that was only because i was driving really casual on that tank of gas)
but on average, i'll get around 38-41 mpg.
what ppl dont understand is that it gets to the point to where it's NOT just about the car you drive, it's HOW you drive that determines you're overall mpg.
I'm certainly not convinced that Ford fiesta gets better gas mileage. I get way better than the 36 mpg they have posted on here. Besides, I'd be more interested in which car is still running after 150k miles!

@KoolJust4U If you really have it that long..you must be dedicated lol I'd rather trade it after 4-5 years and get a newer model and it's all based on the driver/owner really on how long it will last. My 98 Explorer has 230k on it and is still running great.
@KoolJust4U Don't be fooled by these Japanese car only fanboys. Ford has 2 of the top 5 for consumer reports reliability. I like some Japanese cars too, but you can't just assume that all Japanese cars are the most reliable.
any experiment like this should not be performed by under one particular group of people(ford), it should have performed by third party and then it is more believable.

Ford's quality has been greatly improved, but am I the only one who can't stand that name? It reminds me of that horrible car...the Festiva!

@teddyd2009 Agreed, the Fit has better style and reliability as well as space. The Fiesta is a woman's car.

@sejaminas I bet the Fiesta would become as noisy as a mexican maraca in less than 100k miles.

@ElZamo92 Ford's quality is actually rated very high.

@mrblockboii Maybe that is why MPG omatic somehow got 44 MPG highway with the fit. And thats why i agree with you.
cowmilky 6 months ago
@cowmilky I just went to the MPGomatic web site and according to their numbers, the Ford has better mileage.
