you are partially right. Mao hated the CSVN because they favored Soviet over China after the war. Cambodia at that time was full of VCs (remember HCM trail covers lands of Cambodia and Laos). In order to punish the CSVN, Mao put Pol Pot in power to kill the VCs in CAM as a remind of what Chinese government could do if CSVN didn'y follow its leader's wills. about 300.000 VNese killed in CAM.

FYI Pol Pot enjoyed the Viet Minh in 1953. His KPRP was nothing more than a Vietnamese front. All his training was from the Vietnamese. Pol Pot was always a pupet of VC until he gained power.
Vietnamese created their own monster. Don't you tell me that Vietnamese is a saver to Cambodia.

shihanouk and chelinh1, as individual, not a spokeman for any boydy, I hope We can live together in peace. corruption is every where, in VN, Cambodia, Africa, China and even in advanced countries, vn installed Hunsen govt, but they are independent, pro-vn not puppet. I don't see how we can change what happened in the past. Can U.S give back land to American Indian or allow black to govern a state themselve? They still manage to live together in peace.
