Hail to the render farm! Great video Michael. Have you considered using Dr. Queue? I'm guessing you already know about it considering it's also free but also open source as well. I use Dr. Queue because it's also cross platform.
nice video, i remember someone talking about this short film on a forum. One question, how exactly do you conect each computer, ie what cables do you use? where does each connect?
@MattGraeme Network cables and a router/hub. Just standard networking stuff. This question goes way beyond the realms of a YouTube comment, it sounds like you need to learn about how to setup a home network.

@wangtang32000 No idea... I've not had the luxury of being able to evaluate them. I just use what's easily accessible to the wide team of volunteers.
