  • @ktinn11

I would say, that Isabella Rosselini looks like her mother. ;o)

  • That look in her eyes at 3:34, wow.

  • I just saw this a few days ago, but it keeps growing on me. All classic movies do. I really like this scene. When writers knew how to write dialogue.

  • <3

  • Funny ! I still don't know who sings in the film ! Is true , it beats Frank on that occasion !

  • Frank Sinatra was good with his version, but As Time Goes By will always belong to Dooley Wilson.

  • So many things came together to make this such an beautiful film. Great song, Ingrid Bergman never looked so good, Bogart fantastic acting, an enticing but easy to follow story, many great one liners, and one of the best casted films ever. Truly a classic masterpiece. I am 32 and try to get my friends to watch this and they just don't get it. They have become victims of New Hollywood garbage. If a movie isn't in color or have blood and explosions they can't sit thru it.

  • That glance at 0:15 is priceless! I don't care what the prick Selznick said, Bergman had perfect eyebrows.

  • @MaxxUS08 she was so purely beautiful

  • Is there a recording of this version of As Time Goes By in full? The actor played it outside the movie but I don't feel that it's this good.

  • Rick Blaine: Well, I did. Every one of them. Mostly, I remember the last one, the wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain, with a comical look on his face, because his insides have been kicked out.

  • i bought this film when i was 15yo its my favorite since then.

  • play it sam,play 0:58

  • The upside-down stool means constipation -- Victory through vegan bowel movements, no constipation. Elvis Presley showed us this when he died of constipation on the Crucifixion Cross--the toilet is shaped like a cross and Elvis was the King of Kings. Blessed Virgin Mary, BVM, means victory through bowel movements or lack thereof. Plus that V-shaped UFO in Phoenix. The Diarrhea of Anne Frankensteins. Moby Dick -- B.M.'s can infect dicks. Plus butt-fucking and vagina poop.

  • Piano player Sam looks just like a black version of The Son of Sam. Bring him Ingrid Bergman and he will decode all his encrypted messages. A trip to Casablanca, The White House, might help him remember his past lives.

  • Yes mastuh

  • 1:17

    Sam: Bitch please.

  • Ingrid is a goddess. Walang retoke!!

  • @claudius860 24 hipsters forced to watch it in Film Study 1-2

  • What the heck is a letter of transit? Sounds a little like a visa. Or a passport. But not either. I don't think there is such a thing. Brilliant story device, though.

  • @beccamlvn7 It's like a passport.

  • @beccamlvn7 No, it exists.

  • 經典.

  • I get to watch this movie on a the big screen tonight. fffffuuuccckkk yeahh

  • questa è una delle scene più belle di tutti i tempi.

  • If I've seen Casablanca a thousand times I haven't seen it enought... And this is my favrite scene!

  • Only Humphrey Bogart can make "The Germans wore grey, you wore blue" not sound corny.

  • i stick my neck out for nobody

  • Why people think that this picture is one of the best? It's definitely worse than many american films. It's just Bogart and Bergman who make it enjoyable. Without them Casablanca wouldn't even be watchable. The story is lame, direction is poor, acting is ordinary.

  • @bakbergenov It's not about "directing", it's not about "ordinary". It's about sentiments, we humans, find them extraordinary.

  • I love everything from "Rebecca' to 'To kill a Mockingbird' to 'Splendor in the Grass' to 'In the Heat of the Night' to 'Silence of the Lambs' to 'The Kings's Speech' but 'Casablanca' sucked.

  • uggh he hasnt played it in a long time...it hurts, laslo had to win and rick knew that it had to be, sam said, he went home hell lots of girls.. leave him alone miss elsa. she knew that her man from the past hurts. she will always know this, she knew in the end that love.

  • It seems like for a little while, maybe between 1925 and 1950 or so, America seemed to have an appreciation for the level of beauty in all things that defines a society. I'm afraid that time came and went. I don't believe that Bergman, Hemingway, Holiday, or Frank Lloyd Wright would get past Simon or Randy in the first round today. But, I believe in tomorrow.... always.

  • Only fools and asshats cant appreciate this kind of entertainment , tells a story of times past and real lives and loves that could have been , or were never ment to be. Love the classics and what they brought us in real entertainment !

  • 23 people can't recognize a masterpiece when they see one.

  • She is just classic beauty. they dont make them like that anymore.

  • @NishHammer

    Emma Watson is beautiful.

  • I watched this movie as our cruise ship was pulling into Casablanca. Amazing.

  • I run a film to dvd transfer lab in Newton, MA. It's called Play it Again Video but folks insist on calling us Play it Again Sam. "Hello, is this Play it Again Sam?" WellI suppose it's not too remote a connection. Our customers are like the beautiful Ingrid Bergman bringing their precious 8mm, 16mm, Super 8 for us to convert to DVD so they can relive the memories again.. so they can Play it Again, Sam, Karen, Ann, etc...

  • Really great movie. They just don't make them like that anymore. Ingrid Bergman was a beautiful woman.

  • No Religion, Please

  • i love this movie .... and i love this song !.. great !

  • Anyone who doesn't like this has no class or style.

  • It´s interesting, that the name of the man from Czechoslovakia is Viktor László - Viktor is not typical czech name and László is Hungarian. Typical czech name is (for example) Jiří, Josef, Jan....--> typical bad american knowledge of the rest world ;-)

Even though this fail, which is for 99% people not important, can I say, that this movie is BRILLIANT!!!!

  • @xjevgenijx Movies don't always follow that kind of logic..Victor makes more sense..remember that little things make a big difference in movies..Joseph can also be Jewish you dont want people thinking about things you dont want them thinking about in film making.

  • @HPv1000 But come on, I´m not a little kid. I understand, what character is Victor and the symbolism of the whole work I like. I said, the movie is brilliant. And yes, Josef is Jewish, but I´m not solving the origin of the name, but in which country the names used. This movie is simply great, but the inaccuracy is ubiquitous in all films. That´s all, my friend

  • Whats this music called? Smokey Bar Music?

  • @smacker57 The song is called "As Time Goes By".Great movie btw :)

  • @anabatista84: No I mean what would it be classed under like pop, rock, classical etc??

  • Ingrid Bergman never needed that Soft focus, Eye lights, or left side angle to look beautiful, silly, old Hollywood film makers :')

  • 2:10

    Sam. rolled. out. xDD

  • wow it's beautiful

    Ingrid

  • THIS people, is acting. Every actor in this scene is amazing, every second of this film is amazing. Anyone who says otherwise does not deserve to see film every again.

  • Now, there is a classic and a classic beauty.

  • One classy lady. Wish girls today were a bit more like this.

  • @serenity0324 I see where you're coming from but she's not that classy, abandoning Rick without a proper explanation was not on, even if it was to get back to Lazlo.

  • @Leonhardst oh I didn't like that she abandoned Rick too :) I was pertaining to Ingrid Bergman in general :)

  • Do you guys know any good Russian Classic Romantic Movies ?????

  • this is one of the best films of all time, and one of the most moving scenes of all time.

  • Ya know, I wonder about these 8 people that disliked the video

What's the matter with them? They come here, watch the full video only to have their stupid little joy of "haha, i'm going to dislike this cause i got nothing better to do" or whatever that they think. Seriously, I cant imagine what they do this. Maybe I should go in their twilight videos to try to understand what's so pleasant about it.

  • I love this scene sooo much ,and this song, always makes me cry....

    Sarah Kufner

  • Bogart and Bergman... they just don`t make them like that anymore, neither women like her neither men like him...

I am 22 years old and this movie made me miss a time that i never lived in....

  • @tarvolt

If it makes you feel better, Good movies still exist. It's called Bollywood

  • @tarvolt What a perfect way to put that. I know exactly what you mean.

  • I feel like this all the time too, I am 24. I like Bergman, a lot! The acting, the elegance, beauty.. I believe that the one who draw most my attention of this special kind is Greta Garbo, but I also believe that Cotillard and Portman can reach the same level..

Bogart is a more complicated case, his style is unique, but he is not one of my top 5.. yet. I did not see African Queen, I'm aiming to see what this man did to take the award from the hands of Brando with A Streetcar Named Desire.. :)

  • @tarvolt I'm 21and I feel the same way :/

  • @tarvolt im 16 and i feel the same. i really wish that i could have seen this movie

  • @tarvolt Yeah, racism and WW2 must have been great

  • @DWSimmy is now any better? Quite a subjective subject.

  • At first, I didn't like this movie--but I loved this scene. I watched it again and loved it, then bought it on blu-ray (for a hefty price). So it's thanks to this scene that I love this movie (and that I lack $20). Ingrid is absolute perfection.

  • Super!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Super!!!!!!!!

  • hermosa peli!

  • Who is actually playing this? It sounds almost like Art Tatum.

  • I get choked up every time I see this scene--the real test of greatness! Almost 70 years ago and it still gets me. The best scene in one of the best movies ever!

  • Casablanca is a Great Movie..But on screen presence Lauren Bacall in "To have and have not" what an unbelievably beautiful woman. I can watch that movie over and over..

  • @SalvatoreT22

But this is Casablanca with Ingrid Bergman as leading actress!

  • THE most beautiful women that ever appeared on film!

  • Ageless...

  • Замечательный, очень трогательный фильм!!!

  • what an amazing film. and ingrid bergman was so hot too!

  • @OldHollywoodMovies "Jesus H. Christ On A Bicycle" probably is my mother's fault. She was Australian, and I picked up some odd turns of phrase from that side of the family.

But that really is a superbly acted scene. Bogart and she get more out of twitches of the lip than anyone does nowadays.

  • BELLA, FOREVER US, WITH LOVE, DICK

  • Best movie everrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • At 1:20 you can tell he is getting a little frustrated. Eye roll!

  • Check out my rendition of the main theme from the 1956 version of Anastasia starring Ingrid Bergman!

  • Totally agreed!

  • There,s still nobody in the the world! To All Lovers over this World, savour The emotion now! Make Love! Its later than you think!

  • @nwoalexjones a good role? He's playing a subservient role....

to make it worse , he answers to all the whites with ma'm and sir

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable - Because that's something unusual in 1940s American mainstream cinema right? Fuck off.

  • @OnlySeanJohn Hey dumb ass , im just responding to the moron who thought this was a "good role"
