  • Thanx for sharing. We learn something different everyday. I've used spray adhesive on my motorcycle seat b4, then short staples (learned that the hard way!) I'm currently reshaping the chin pad on my kawi 750sx and then going to vinyl it white.

  • @Metalunique ooo, white vinyl sounds fun!

  • Dan, where do I get the vinyl to start with?

  • @TLEJT Jo Anne Fabrics, about $20/yard. Great stuff for all kinds of applications. I'm doing my dashboard liner with it soon...I think I'll make a video out of that too if there's any interest.

  • @TheCousinDan Nice. I'll be honest with you, about 3 of your videos were EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have a tear in my motorcycle seat.

  • @TheCousinDan And yeah there's interest in that! My friends BMW headliner is sagging bad and he's looking to redo it. We found a video on it, but it wasn't very descriptive and it was fast forwarded.

  • @TheCousinDan Also, what stapple gun were you using? I feel like my motorcycle seat is going to be a little bit more difficult because it has a dip in it.. I'm not completely sure how to get the leather to follow that curve..

  • @TLEJT It's all about tension and heat in the right places. It's very much possible. I just used a standard woodwork staple gun that you might use to attach a picture of a lost dog to a telephone pole...nothing fancy. Well I will attempt to make a video about that dashboard then.

  • Really??? You fast forward the most difficult part?

  • @ejlarson249 It's really quite easy if you follow the steps leading up to it. Besides, each one will be different at the step.

  • I have the same bird...

  • Ok sounds great. Thanks!!!!

  • thanks for the video. So when you're doing the corners, I kind of missed because of the fast forwarding how you cut and fold them. I am doing a boat cushion so it is a simple square shape. What can you tell me about those corner cuts/folds?

Thanks for the tip about the hair dryer.

  • @rchenderson2000 What I do is I just fold the fabric in the most concise way possible when I can't stretch out the folds/wrinkles. Just like wrapping a gift!

  • @rchenderson2000 You may want to cut out the excess under the fold when you have it done, this eliminates extra bulk

  • man ,, you are fast :-) ... great vid tks

  • Great video ...but that bird are really annoying.

  • @bigbigspoon Hahaha, I know right? I couldn't get it to shut up!

  • Haha, I know, I know. I'm due for another pipe, I'll look into it.

  • Dan, I'm never going to need to know that, haha! Teach me how to make a briar pipe, dang it!
