@Jamman88888 What firmware are you on, and are you accesing the sd card from the settings menu or the sd card menu on the homescreen?

oh problem solved apparently its cause i have firmware 4.1e and needed a different hack i thought this hack would work on it but i guess i was wrong

@uagniza I haven't done it, but the whole turning off wii connect 24 is a precaution so nintendo doesn't blacklist your console i believe, because its hacked they can apparently bloock your console just like the xbox 360

I would just like to say thanks, I got my Wii found out it was 2.1 and realized I couldn't do a HomeBrew with Twilight Princess, this helped a lot with my 4.1U Wii.

You need to download the Gamma channel from the homebrew browser.

Ok i I dont mean to be a pest or sound stupid but I went to thru like all the apps and stuff on the homebrew channel do have any idea where i might find this... gamma channel and thank you for all your help i prolly went thru 10 different softmod before i found yours and finally got it semi workin!

@jayhawks267 sorry for the late reply, but if it still troubles you then the gamme channel can be found on the homebrew browser or can be downloaded from the internet from your computer, simply drag your downloaded gamme/backup channel into the "apps" folder of your memory card

U can buy a usb ethernet adapter for the wii, its a third party product but i had one myself and it works much faster than the wireless feature in the wii

Are you burning discs onto DVD-R's?

Must be burnt at 2x speed

and you must launch backup discs through a backup launcher such as the Gamma channel with the right IOS selected.

Hey man, plz make a better video this have a very very bad quality, and thats not is the way because in 6 mouths your wii´s laser gonna "lose the light" and this dont gonna read the games, only game cube, because you force the wii to read other cd kind and that destroy the laser.

@javace94 you tool, the wii has a dvd player in it, only they haven't a license to let people play dvd movies, only dvd's with wii games on, this simply allows programs that can pplay dvd's to be installed.

I had Homebrew before and It somehow got deleted and now whenever I try to get it, It shows up as "???" and it says "This channel can not be launched on this Wii console." Whats wrong??

I think this i because you are on the wrong menu, you should make sure you are not going onto the memory card menu from the homepage

did you upgrade your wii to 4.2 version if so the the homebrew channel will be blocked out and you will have to use a different system to install it

Hi Jartog, i partially take the blame for this mishap, you must download the dvdx installer from the homebrew browser to be able to read generic dvd's. HOWEVER, to instal dvdx i had to downgrade my wii to 3.2E then i installed dvdx installer 3.4 off the homebrew browser. To downgrade your wii there is a few simple video tutorials around. Hope this helps

This happened to me whilst cracking my friends wii, but it was due to other content being on the sd card aswell as the downloaded files, make sure there is nothing n the sd when you extract the .rar to it.

Did it now, it's working. Just gonna install it now.

yer mate, i think its kuz your sd card isnt blank, you need to delete everything off the sd card first, then put the folders onto it. and if that doesnt work, try turnin off wiiconnect 24 if you havent already done so

You can go on the homebrew channel, but without an SD card with an apps folder, then you wont be able to run the applications you download form the internet or the homebrew browser

After you have installed it you should see there is one program on your homebrew channel.

Go on this and browse the utilities tab for the homebrew disc launcher, from that you may run back up games
