what size engine is this? i put one of these on my 92 f150 5.0L and it sounded alright. but nothing like this, and this is what i was hoping for. but i didnt get anything like sound like this. to i put a thrush on, and its not any better. help

@rush4ever1 I'm with you, I have the same exact truck w/ a 5.3L and the same cherry bomb extreme muffler and mine sounds about half as good as this, he's gotta have high flow cats or something else in addition that he i guess forgot to mention.......because "CHERRY BOMB EXTREME MUFFLER" alone does not give you this sound.

@rush4ever1 All in fun dude. I have a 98 Silverado 5.0 with flowmaster bullet muffler. I am thinking that this Sierra has the 6.0 engine so a few more ponies than both of us. What size are your primary pipes coming from the engine? Mine are 2 1/2 going into a 3 inch before the cat. Then 3 inch to the muffler and split to 2 1/2 for duals. Also have the 3 inch tips which help out in the sound also. Not sure how this one is set up.

every muffler is going to sound like shit on a certain vehicle. on a v8 a flowmaster will sound awesome bt it may not on ur buddies v6 or 4 cyl. and vice versa with other mufflers. they may sound good on a smaller motor than a v8. and preference has a lot to do with it too.

the flowmaster super 44s have a nice tone to them, ive got the original 40 series on my 95 c2500 and have been lookin at the super 44s, from what ive seen theyre louder and deeper. and the new delta flow 40 series are way too quiet.

bro take it from me i got a 318 RAM and i'm rinning 40series flows...at idle it has a hallow sound...my friend once compared the sound to the sound of a movie slowing down the speed of a Helicopter...but when you floor it it sounds like a beast...the good thing about it too is that on cruise you can't hear it...only on acceleration when you want them too

how long was after you put the muffler on did you take the video, you probaly know this, but if you wait about 3 to 4 hundred miles to make the video the mellow sound of it goes away and it becomes more nasty sounding, in the good way
