  • Like really alot

  • I like sucking cock

  • this guy sounds sooo gay...

  • @TheDarkElfValenDreth He has much more knowledge in this field than you, he can shred better than you. So i think that you sound sooo gay by saying this..

  • @PetrosP96 ....yeah sure man you have no idea who i am or what i can do so don't make assumptions and get a life. Good day.

  • "Diary Of A Madman". How appropriate.

  • Tooo many Pauls!!!!!

  • @Tainted369 yea buts it alot of work you need to make a battery cavity and its wired different

  • yes guitar!

  • 1:42 diary of a madman?

am i the only one who hears that?

  • @urdumbfoo My thoughts exactly

  • prs guitars pau allender ok!

  • what is it with recent guitar players and that fascination for a simple study from leo brouwer? :P everybody seems to remember those chords XD

  • nice guitarworld prs se paul allender guitar mon-mon paul riario 5: 16 music guitarworld ok!

  • What amp are you using?

  • Really detest this guy's reviews

  • I wanna get this and put a Bill Lawrence L500XL in the Bridge postion.

  • I like this guitar, sounds pretty good too. what i like. when i play good enough, i'll try to buy it :)

  • sounds like hes playing diary of a madman during the clean parts...

  • Any suggestions would help im retiring my original 1993 Fender Jag Stang and im looking at either a Fender Strat HSS American made standard or a PRS Paul Allender. I want a guitar that is versatile and can handle from hard rock/metal to blues. Any suggestions would help. Both guitars sound great but iv had next to no time on either and i need to order one next week.

  • @cmentalppl The Prs Paul Allender covers way more ranges, especially this model which doesnt have those emgs but I have a Fender American strat s/s/s and i would never trade it for anything else, it has so much soul and the cleans on it are outstanding, mid gain on the strat is amazing on lead on my marshall jcm900. The PRS guitars sound lovely and are great, i just have a feeling that they are better but lack soul, they sound too nice. I'd go for the strat :)

  • If mine would have sounded like that, I wouldn't have bought it! He did not do the cleans any! justice! It sounds great clean as well. My favorite of the few I own. Especially for the price!

  • One of my bands guitarists has this guitar. Its a GREAT sounding instrument, looks cool, and has the thinnest neck I've EVER played...but seriously, I wouldn't buy it. Its too easy to play...there's no resistance on anything. Its very hard to get used to.

  • is this worth buying? please respond

  • @LilReaper608 If you replace the pickups with EMG gold 81/85, you'll have the closest you'll get to Paul's sound, so in my opinion, yes.

  • @Thorn137666 thank you my good sir. i only play esp's but PRS is a special exception

  • @LilReaper608 I'd get a locking nut or tuners as Paul suggested, if you like to use the tremolo. And ESP's are terrific...I'd like to get myself a custom made F style some day.

  • really does it stay in tune after doing extreme stuff like diveboms and stuff?plzzzzzz help

  • Is this guitar comfortable while playing? I especially mean neck. Thanks :)

  • @GianismXYZ honestly the neck is fucking perfect, i've only found two necks better for me, and that was on a £2000 washburn stealth and a £1500 jackson kelly, this thing is only £499 :p

and the body fits your body perfectly, it's one of the most comfortable guitars EVER imho

  • @jackyDoofer If compared to Gibson Flying V neck, what are the differences? I'm asking cuz I think Ill buy this guitar but i don't like too wide necks. Flying V neck was ok for me though.

  • @GianismXYZ not too sure, haven't played a flying v in a lONG time. seriously dude, the best thing to do is find a shop near you that's got it, and go play it for yourself :) it's a wide thin neck i think, but despite the name, it's really not that wide, but like i say, jsut go play it for yourself and make your own decision, i can tell you the spec and brag about how much i love mine all day to you, but if you don't like it, you don't like it, don't trust my opinion, everyone's different ;)

  • is this the private stock one, or the one thats about $650-$750

  • @wedor0907 the cheap one

  • @TheMusiciansFriend you sure because when i went to guitar center, they had emg's and only maroon burst and dark green burst

  • @wedor0907 the new se version of this has emgs and comes in purple and green

  • 1st.. You say its affordable but you didnt even say the price..

2nd.. Does this guitar also come w/o the tremolo cuz to be hones i think its a waste of time and space, really why cant we just take the sustain pedals instead like the crybaby...

    3rd.. ur good.

  • i tried gibson les paul ,flying v,all kind of fender, all kind of epiphone signature, and ibanez paul gilbert signature....but nothing can compare prs clean sound to other "clean" sound,i tried santana PRS signature double inputs 1 for electric guitar and 1 for accoustic guitar, when i play it i feel like getting a blowjob from japanese hooker

  • man this is fucking gay. not the guitar the guy. guitarworld you need a different guitar player

  • @crazyboy4793

maybe he's gay, but he f'n play like a god.

  • this is paul reviewing paul allender signature model from paul reed smith guitar

  • @pleasesuckmydick5545 Haha. Too many pauls for one vid

  • I am hesitating between a SE custom22 , a SE Santana and this SE Paul Allender, which one would you recommend, they're all basically same price,

    thanks!

  • @fattirevsbud SE paul allender.. it has 24frets :)

  • Paul rules!

  • It shows that he loves his job

  • This guitar looks ten times better than it plays

  • this guitar goes out of tune really easy..like seriously

  • this guitar goes out of tune really easy..

  • Nice

  • I bought this guitar and it has an amazing clean sound. With my amp set clean and a flat E.Q. I get a great rock n roll sound. I'm thinking of getting the Mike Akerfeldt PRS to compliment this guitar on gigs.

  • Paul from Guitar World

    Paul Reed Smith

    Paul Allender

    <3

  • i played this GC and honestly this guitar can do really well cleans

paul (in the vid) just has the gain high

  • OMG!! I met Paul Allender after show in Houston, Tx he is such very nice and decent guy!! I even post a pic with him :),, paul U ROCKS!! I also met James and Dani :D!!!

  • On the medium-gain setting, I could hear some very Strat-like tones. Kind of unusual for humbucking pickups, but when you crank it up to a high-gain setting, the sound really fills out nice and thick.

  • PRS... affordable... HA

  • i dnt really like cradle of filth but this guitar is fucking amazing

  • Comment removed

  • love it

  • the clean example sounds like a randy rhoads exercise !

  • WHAT AMP???????????????

  • i so want this guitar!!!!!

  • LOL, black metalers and the goth crowd. Guitar world is the worst review mag out there. I wont re-subscribe for any reason, that mag is total crap.

  • diary of a madman at 1:42

  • this prs is beautiful, i want it bad now

  • I'll be honest. I want it just for the bats.

  • sick finish. other than that, meehhhhhh

  • I too ows one of these guitars... Am I the only one having problems with the guitar staying in tune? (i have locked the whammy/(wammy?) cuz im not using it.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!:)

  • @RobinIvarsson I should add that it's the G and B string that goes out of tune... most of the time anyway.

  • @RobinIvarsson you could try tightening the tuners that are already on there?

  • @RobinIvarsson same here dude mines always getting different tunes when im playing it, and its quite annoying lol

  • @MrAAMProductions Yeah it fucking sux. Maybe I need to change the tuner heads. What do you think?

  • @RobinIvarsson you could try that dude, im just gonna throw another pair of strings on it, and see what happens, oh and btw i just got a peavy valveking halfstack today, ITS SICK!

  • @MrAAMProductions Cool, i gotta check that out. Good combo between the PRS and the stack? the sound i mean:)

  • You know, this guy may have no taste in clean tones, but he shreds like a fucking beast.

  • I hate that they had this guy review this guitar, a guitar like this doesn't deserve to be played this weak.

  • diary of a madman

  • im pretty pissed he released a signature as paul allender had one of the most original PRS guitars, so much so that i paid a lot of cash to get my own replica hand built by shamray over 5 years ago.

check it out google "photobucket death26row"

  • paul how do u do the squeels sorry 4 spelling that wrong

  • it sounds like he is trying diary of madman at 1:43

  • I've played this guitar. Even though PRS usually makes outstanding instruments, I was not impressed with the workmanship or the sound. They really let this one slip through the holes.

  • nice guitar, poor player.

  • @catapei: I dont see you in the video doing a review cocklick!

    stfu!

  • I'm a firm believer that the person who buys any signature series guitar is buying it to play music similar to that artist, so why not play music similar to Paul Allender's and not try to be a guitar hero.

  • He plays it at 1:28, so you don't have to watch him talk about shit you probably already know

  • if i got this guitar i would replace the pickups with seymour duncan invaders, then i got a metal guitar

  • @shockwavecrisis I got one a while back. It doesnt need new pickups at all lol. (I mean yeah, you CAN replace them, but they sound great with the stock pickups). The "metal" distortion this guy is using is crap. It sounds too fuzzy. You put the right distortion on this thing, and it screams

  • very nice review great job

  • i just bought this guitar and i love it i admit i have to use the split coil knob for the clean channel for this guitar but in the end really good guitar. sounds way better than this guys version i got the one with emg pickups with thedark green color 24 frets sick guitar.

  • @bianchiniman

what would be better the prs paul allender with emg's or an esp ltd ec 1000?

  • @butterknucklez well it depends on the kind of music you play i play all types and the coil tap pickups are a really big help. i would pick the PRS.

  • @butterknucklez well it depends on the kind of music you play i play all types and the coil tap pickups are a really big help. i would pick the PRS. this video doesnt do this guitar justice at all.

  • Everyone´s complaining about the clean tones of that axe , i think they have a little more gain than he usual ´cause it´s a Metal Guitar, in fact, it was designed by a Black Metal guitarist.

    I really liked it.

  • Thinking of buying one. They look and sound amazing. But I may be a bit old for Batwing frets, and might feel a bit more comfortable with traditional dots. Can anybody please tell me if they're available in my prefered style?

  • yeah the clean sounds like shit

  • thanks dude im gunna get 1 now

  • how much? and where can i get 1

  • how much and where can i get it

  • i want this guitar based on looks alone, but the tone doesnt fit my playing style and i'm sad. but im broke anyway so it doesnt matter

  • anybody who complains about the clean on this is retarded it made for metal you idiots! listen to cradle of filth and you'll see why it doesnt play clean well

  • wow!

i tought clean would have sounded better

  • if he played some sabbath it would've at least done the guitar a bit more justice :)

  • I dislike paul is trying to play a metal/alternative sounding guitar when he has a blues style of playing..dont make the guitar sound as good

  • @soraomnislash5 the emgs ruined the guitar. emgs should never be in a prs.

  • dIary of a madman,....?

  • this is like the girl scouts reviewing a 50. cal machine gun mounted on a hyundai.....

  • @wowspare i like your comparison

  • @wowspare paul plays heavy then cradle even thought i like them there not real heavy there kinda tame

  • What is the deal on cool sound and difficult, real alternative is Pearl Jam, Soundgarden. They are not difficult but they have real cool sound. And alternative, metal, punk, grunge they are all part of hard rock music. They PRS are cool not because they sound like LP or like a Strat, they are cool because they are guitar with a new range of sound closer to does two and more in between. With the rigth amp for what you like to play i'm pretty shure you will get the sound you like.

  • played it... sounds like shit.

  • This guitar looks so awesome!

  • vibrates a lot and goes out of tune on the wammy arm, says it all.

  • vibrates too much hmphhhh

  • @soraomnislash5 it is because of the crappy audio quality of youtube (which does a massive amount of compressing)

  • That's amazing that that guy from Cradle Of Filth did not ordered any ermm pentagrams or something else to this PRS

Clean tone is pretty amazing in my opinion..

But not drive. This is a disease for all PRS's..their sound have no chance to be distorted right

  • @Sortsylic u serious?

opeth, breaking benjamin, seether, 3 doors down, creed, shinedown all use prs guitars.....if im not mistaken those are all hard rock bands that use high gain distortions

  • @Ralenissocold Lol I'm serious

    1) They are NOT hard rock, they are alternative

    2) Alternative doesn't mean cool sound

  • @Sortsylic

i guess u dont listen to their other songs besides their singles.....and what exactly is a "cool" sound???

  • @Ralenissocold omg singles? ALL of their songs are alternative, dude

I can tell you one thing: cool sound could be only in jazz blues and metal. But absolutely not all of metal bands have cool sound(ing) guitars. Mastodon, Death, Dream Theater, Annihilator - for example, they have really cool guitars

Really I can't show "cool sound" to guy who listens to alternative

  • @Sortsylic so only fast metal music has a cool sound?? and btw all those bands are post grunge not alternative....alternative is like fall out boy, incubus, linkin park, and all that shit......and can i ask if you think tool has a cool sound (btw they're like alternative metal)....honestly if you say they dont then please become more broad minded

  • @Ralenissocold LOL Who said fast metal?

god, man, you don't understand anything in music if you call FOB alternative

Metal is really technical and difficult music, alternative and ermm..post grunge is simple as basic guitar playing only

  • @Sortsylic so more difficult always means cooler??? i get where ur argument is coming from but seriously being subjective and using that as proof that other music isnt interesting is just being ignorant.

  • @Ralenissocold GOD man you're really don't get it

More difficult means it is MORE DIFFICULT, you can taste the sound only in technical things, if you'll play power chords like it is in MOST alternative you won't be able to check out the REAL guitar sound.

I was listening to alternative in my past, I am listening today to another primitive bands like Bohren or Callisto but their playing isn't a nice example for guitars that they're playing!

  • I like the green one.

  • I got mine for 600 in jan.

  • paul who? cradle of who?

  • horrible diary of a madman-esque playing, how dare you destroy my hero randy rhoads

  • you just cant take metal seriosly with this guitar it just doesnt look the peace but i would like.

  • i really hate the new emgs on it... what happened to prs? BRING BACK THE PASSIVE PICKUPS

  • you know you can change them right? o_o

  • This guitar's sweet. I tried it out in a store, and I can't remember the last time I was so impressed with a guitar. I also like Paul (the reviewer, not Allender) and his bluesy rock licks, but I wish he'd tell us what amp he's plugged into whenever he's reviewing guitars.

  • my rhytum guitarist has it. but he also has a sweet peavy 5605 head and a marshall (hes gunna trade for a Boogie) cab.

  • if i'm honest i really don't like the cleans on this

  • @kierandoyle1992 Yes you're right but I played that guitar in the store and it sounded great clean so I don't know, maybe his amp is strange or the record sucks^^

  • @kierandoyle1992 have you ever listened to cradle of filth? this guitar isnt meant for clean

  • @dbsk8r92 all guitars should be able to handle clean tone. well placed clean sections in metal work well.

also there's plenty of other guitar made for metal with a good clean sound, even dean razorbacks sound pretty good without any gain

  • @kierandoyle1992 i dunno what were the settings on the reviewer's amplifier, but i have this guitar and the clean sound is really 'clean' and does not distort like in the review. its very warm

  • @wowspare WARM?!? LAFF. OUT. LOUD. I don't think Allender has ever sounded "warm" for Christs sake. This piece of shit guitar is made to cut through a compressed, super distorted metal mix - just like your average Sears guitar.

Kids, try the other SE models if you want a balanced, nicer PRS character in your sound. These signature models are usually one-trick-ponies.

  • @0AllForNaught0 .... like i said, the reviewer's amp had shitty settings.

yes, the clean sound is warm. have you even tried this guitar dumbass?

the distortion isn't harsh sounding at all i can play jazz and blues easily with it

  • @wowspare Cool! Then why don't you go right ahead and put up a nice demo for us? I just watched the PRS Company demo - and I just wasn't hearing "jazzy" or "bluesy" tones out of it. I don't know why you would - does Allender play jazzy, or bluesy parts? I can't really imagine why he would have pickups custom wound for bluesy, jazzy tones when he plays extreme metal.

So enlighten everyone with a nice demo. I'm dying to hear it - anyone else?

  • @0AllForNaught0 just because this demo doesn't show the guitar's capabilities doesn't mean that the guitar doesn't have those capabilites.

yeah, allender doesn't play those kind of music but i'm just saying that this guitar CAN handle other kinds of music besides metal.

and also, i don't wanna make that demo for ya. even if i had a camcorder, i wouldn't waste my precious time trying to satisfy some dickhead's cravings.

you've already made yourself look like a real idiot; don't bother rplying

  • @wowspare Yeah, because EVERY guitar can do those things, right? That's why all the Jazz players are flocking to the Allender model. I'll bet Al Dimeola has one of these stashed somewhere...

Listen, kid: every guitar does something different - that's the whole point. There is no "one size fits all" guitar. They're all voiced differently. But I'll bet you're one of those chodes that doesn't know how to match an EQ to a guitars voicing, which makes them sound like poop.

  • @0AllForNaught0 "Yeah, because EVERY guitar can do those things, right? That's why all the Jazz players are flocking to the Allender model."

i'm not saying this allender model is the BEST guitar for playing jazz, what i was trying to say was that it plays jazz decently (i emphasize 'decently')

  • @kierandoyle1992 If I'm honest, I agree completely. Sounds like way too much bite for a good clean sound. But then, the douche'bag that designed it (Allender) is a pussy "extreme metal" player. They really don't know much about good tone - just crank up your distortion pedal and let the diarrhea flow.

I checked this vid out 'cuz I'm a PRS Owner myself - and the Mira makes this guitar sound like flushed turd.

  • @kierandoyle1992 how much and where

  • @kman8477 erm, anywhere between like £400 and £5000+, guitar shops. derp

  • @kierandoyle1992 not verry clean at all haha

  • @kierandoyle1992 an easy way to get better cleans with really hot pickups is to roll off the volume pot.

  • @kierandoyle1992 its not the guitar, it's the shitty player and shitty tone.

  • @kierandoyle1992 I tried this guitar, looked cool sounded cool, but not worth for the price.

I tried a classic vibe telecaster of 435 that sounded as good as it.

  • @Luvinhas How can you compare a telecaster to this PRS? they're completely different!

  • @SerpentisCrucis based on the cleans.

  • @Luvinhas Is an apple better than a pear?

  • @SerpentisCrucis DUUUUUUUUUH

  • @SerpentisCrucis You have no clue about Guitars.

  • @cnnre2005 Why on earth? Oh well.

  • @kierandoyle1992 it's the signature of a metal guitarist, therefore they probably cared less about the cleans

  • @kierandoyle1992 i have this guitar.

don't be fooled by this review. the cleans are outstanding. this guy's 'cleans' settings always have some gain and compression.... dunno why

  • @wowspare can you get a good santana sound out of this guitar because i like this guitar but i dont play metal alot ?

  • @mtbxcfreak No, the pickups are really hot, I mean are you deaf? didn't you hear the clean channel?

  • @wowspare dose it go out of tune easy?

  • @LilReaper608 if you use the whammy bar often, it will. but i changed the tuners to locking tuners, so they don't go out of tune now

  • @wowspare Man thats gay it says on the muscians freind thing for this that you can dive bomb like a beast on this thing

  • @LilReaper608 well that depends on how you setup the bridge. if you set it up to suit your style, you can divebomd with it but it goes out of tune unless you change tuners

  • @wowspare probably the setting

  • @wowspare im thinking on getting the green version of this guitar its the same just differnet color would you recommend it for well basically more of a tremonti type sound i know cradle of filth but id thought id ask

  • @FebruaryDarkness1 the paul allender model that they sell now come with active EMG pickups, only the older ones come with passives. if you want a tremonti type sound i recommend you swap out the pickups. a set of seymour duncans would be good

  • @wowspare thanks man just trying to decide what kinda guitar i should get next

  • @wowspare how would you rate it in terma of blues guitar solos and just that bluesy sound. I know this fiddle has got the heavy, but I wanna know if the tremolo bar wont knock it out of tune hella fast and if it stay in tune well if you use a lot of bends--like I do

  • @Darkit2099 bends don't really cause it to go out of tune that much. but its the tremolo use that knocks it off tune more.
