The only things different between a cult and a religion is political power and age of the dogma. Really old religions are called mythologies, really young religions get called cults.

@kungfufreak360 Yes it did. It happened in Utha, and Arizona. The marige touck place in Navada, but her and the cousin lived in Hildall Utha and Colorado City Arizona. If you want to learn more about her, her book is called "Stolen Innocence" It's realy good. I've read it and have it on my iPod.
@abdohafe - Their *marriages* are not marriages by state law but by *spiritual* law. Because such marriages don't appear in legal documents, they cannot be legally prosecuted. The church keeps everyone in line by coercion and peer pressure. As I understand things, the women are *married* off when they are young, before they have fully established themselves personally and with no chance of financial independence; they are wholly dependent on their husbands and keeping good graces in the society.
