  • I love this. Skadipirate, you're amazing. Belarus is an awesome character and I feel bad for her because of that dictator.

  • belarus freedom belarus freedom belorussia liberta! damn this song is catchy

  • I have a suggestion for a song: could you maybe do a song for Male!Belarus with the song Belarus by Znich? :) If you need it I could send you the MP3.

  • does everyone know that russia is in a similar situation with putin

  • belarus = The European version of North Korea.

  • What's weird is that the anime is all happy and funny but a lot of the pictures show a lot of emotion, so the contrast is kinda weird

  • @BreathInSpaceFilmz A lot of fans like to think about various possibilities with Hetalia, including "What if it were drama instead of comedy?". So sometimes they use serious artwork to symbolize the wars and hardships each country endures. There are serious fanfictions and doujinshi out there exploring that interpretation.

  • @xZaCloudx I can understand them trying to use their art to reflect the history of each country and if they were a real person. But there is a limit to how many ways a character can be portrayed without becoming a different character entirely. Artistic license, yea, but to do justice to the character,if they wanted to deviant so much from the norm they should just make up their own character. Because sometimes all I see is a rip-off or just some persons own fancy.

  • @BreathInSpaceFilmz

Some of them are really weird but some actually makes sense. In my eyes, we don't know much about the characters personalities, just the little Himaruya has shown in the comics and that isn't that much. When analyzing the little we know and history, a lot of the pictures seem very understandable

  • @BreathInSpaceFilmz Ya know what's even weirder? How Belarus has been shipped with virtually every character in the series.

  • @zoezoewriter Yeah, I dislike that. A lot. Sure, I like to pair characters up, but when they have no historical connection, what so ever, it becomes silly. Hah, and if you know the answer of this question - please tell me /WHY/ so many ships PruCan? FrUK, USUK, PRussia, etc I can understand, even though I hate most of these "love/hate" pairings with a burning passion.

Lol, btw. I once saw Turkey/Liechtenstein - doesn't just the thought of that make you wanna throw up? o///o

  • @RareDogOnWheels PruCan? PRUCAN!? WHAT. THAT MAKES NO FREAKIN SENSE. I AM SO GLAD I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE. IT MAKES EVEN LESS SENSE THAN RUSCAN.

    ...

Sorry for caps rage, but why must the super-rabid yaoi fangirls pair poor little Canada with every character in the series?

Oh my god... Turkey/Liechtenstein...? No...just...no... But hey... If you want something almost as bad... Type "Belarus Seychelles Hetalia" in a Google Images search. There's a surprising amount of it...

  • @zoezoewriter Let's all ship TurkLiech! xD But uhh.. Belarus/Seychelles? I'm not sure if I have the guts to check that out. Maybe. o_O

It's not that I don't like psychotic charrs like Russia and Belarus, I do (lol, never thought I would, but my friend kind of got me into that), but I go WTF when I see them paired up with the most harmless charrs. E.g. Russia/Latvia; rape. Perv. My friend (not a yaoi fangirl in general) likes it. Russia/Canada I won'teven google - THAT sounds freaking insane. xD

  • @RareDogOnWheels PruCan actually has historical background. It's bit weak, but yaoi fangirls don't seem to care. And the fact that there is New Prussia (Province or Town or something) in Canada seems to be good enough for them too.

  • @xXIcceeXx Really? The pairing is still slightly apalling to me, just a /little/ bit less than before though. Well, thanks. Because this has been bothering me for a while. But people have different opinions, which is good I guess, so maybe I just shouldn't criticize PruCan-shippers. :P

  • Die in seven days if u don't post this

  • LoveLoveLoversPet, Google Translator :DD

  • I just love this song. Anyway that Ukrainian, like Belarus ... And Ukraine)

  • @Bamaru8 wut? ;)

  • 2:26 :O OMG

  • whose the country with Belarus at 3:12

  • @sweetblackblood1 If you mean the 3:13, it's Germany (there's only Belarus at 3:12).

  • @SkadiPirate so he is like Mubarak sort of.... sigh guess each country has its own bad leader...-_- poor Belarus..no wonder why she has issues @_@llll....

  • @sweetblackblood1 Yep, you could say that~

  • I just love the meaning of this song... I think it stands for a lot of things, like opposition to the government, trying to get the old days back, the days without dictatorship, all that jazz... It also seems that this song keeps reminding me of the rebellions and protests by demonstrators today, mostly in the middle east. I feel so sad, especcially for countries like Syria where it's been going on for a year... I just hope the world can come up with some solutions...

    Freedom Belarus!! <3<3<3<3

  • AmericaxBelarus FOREVER

  • I love all the Leitbel pics X3

  • maybe this can also be Male!Belarus's song too ;)

  • She reminds me of Anju from Karin xD Belarus was my first cosplay :3

  • Where do you find/download your songs? I can't find a download for this anywhere, and I love the song you used...

  • I'm half Belaryussian, but i don't speak Belaryussian, only Belayrussian-Russian, but I understood SO much of this.

  • Я как человек привыкший говорить на Русском, удивляюсь такому частому "Ы"

  • @LiraV228 В украинском этого "Ы" гораздо больше

  • what is america doing at 0:53? o.o

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH I'm not quite sure which picture you mean ^^'

  • @SkadiPirate Imeant the one at 0:55 with america and belarus.XD wasnt sure what was goin on there in that situation.XD

  • @SkadiPirate i think she means at :56 . by the way i love your videos

  • @SkadiPirate i think he means the picture where he pulls Belarus's hair if that helps

  • @SkadiPirate i think that frying pan ment the picture at 0:55 when america is holding a knife

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH

    Hugging her.

  • @fuyuseetaa really? shes crying tho, o well.XDD

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH

Oh, you mean at the other one, I just saw? :56 or something like that?

Yeah, I think he was forcefully going to cut off her hair... lol

  • @fuyuseetaa ya thats the one LOL. WowXDDD well thanks for clearing that up for me there.XD

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH

Well, it's a guess... I may be wrong... But you're welcome anyway! ^^

  • @fuyuseetaa haha XD

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH hugging her awww!

  • @LoveLoveLoversPet thats not the pic i meant.XD u i meant the pic with america and her. hes pulling her hair or sumtin.

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH he's holding her hands together behind her back and holding the knife with the other

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH He's hugging her. Isn't he?

  • @ShowLuvr no, i accidently put the wrong time. i ment for the picture when hes pulling her hair. sorry this is my other account.XD

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH He's cutting her hair I think.

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH I think America is pulling Belarus' hair but im not totally sure

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH I managed to pause the video at the last second; He's pulling her hair. She has a knife in her hand and America's grabbing her wrist.

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH he's probably keeping her from hurting someone because Belarus (after being rejected by Russia so much) became a little sister figure for america, so....yeah....

  • @SmilingAwesomness She did?o.O

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH Yeah, that's why Russia was so worried about what to do with her, he didn't want her becoming friends with America

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH Never heard of that pairing? But I agree it looks suggestive...

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH He's hugging Belarus >w<

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH I think he's trying to either cut her hair off with his knife, or to ah.. Kill her maybe? I'm not too sure but it isn't kinky.

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH Belarus is getting a hug

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH Ame-kun is hugging her. i'm starting to see that pairing in these 'belarus' vids.

  • @FryingPanToTheFaceH America is comforting Belarus, aka hugging.

  • The singer and I shall get married. This video and I shall become one.>:}

  • Umh... First version is much better O.o

  • dude, that song was aweosme

  • 1:57 MUST HaVE PICTURE!

  • Where did you get the picture at 3:03? Zerochan? Awesome video by the way, I really love it! ;)

  • @AnimeFangirlable Yep, zerochan or maybe e-shuushuu :]

  • @SkadiPirate What tags did you use? Sorry for bothering you so much, but I'd really like to know.

  • @AnimeFangirlable Ahh...which picture exactly? >3<

Otherwise, on zerochan you could try the tags "Belarus" and then add something you see on that picture like "knife" or "weapon" or another character's name :]

  • Comment removed

  • @SkadiPirate So, for 3:03, you just use the tags Belarus and Iceland? Or did you use something else too? It's just that no matter what I try, I can't find that picture anywhere! I've tried zerochan, e-shuushuu, photobucket, deviantArt...

  • @AnimeFangirlable Hmm, I was sure it was either on e-shuushuu or zerochan ô_ô Maybe it got deleted!? Ermm, I still could send it to you via E-Mail, if you want?

  • @SkadiPirate Oh, that be great! Thank you soooo much! :D

  • I'm Polish so I understand some words of this song but not much many ;D

I really want Belarus to be free peacefull country. Grrrr, Lukashenko makes me sick every time I see his face, hate him to death >.<'''

    So... GO GO BELARUS!!!

To silny naród, z pewnością to przezwyciężą.

  • @LittleShaggyFox who's lukashenko?

  • @sweetblackblood1 Alexander Lukashenko is the President of Belarus (since 20. July 1994)

  • @sweetblackblood1

    President of Belarus.

  • @sweetblackblood1 He's the 'president' of Belarus. Pretty Looney guy. Not Kim Jong-Ill level, but still a tad looney.

  • Great video D: Nice song @w@

  • This song is Belarusian or Russian?

  • @bravoromeo112 As the annotations read..."Belarusian"...I also mentioned it in my description :'']

  • @SkadiPirate oh,sorry bout that

  • うわぁ!! 私の知っているサークルさんの絵が使われている!? ∑(廿_廿;

  • Ich bin activist...? Isn't it German?

  • @CurseOfDawn Yes. Skadipirate explained why about 3 pages of comments back :).

  • What's the "Belorussia liberta" mean? Belarus breaking from Russia (thought that happened before I was born), or liberty from the dictator? It's confusing me.

  • @256NatLiz It means "Belarus Freedom", obviously from the dictator.

  • @SkadiPirate Ah. Ok. Muchas gracias.

  • im not really up to date with world affairs >.< srry.

but can someone tell me about Lukashenko?

  • @Kynarii

After Belarus became its own country after the fall of the USSR, Lukashenko soon came into power and time after time, the country became more centrally planned (Anti-Free Market) and soon strained relation with the US and EU and became a union state with Russia (Hence Belarus' incesteous nature in Hetalia). After Lukashenko got re-elected, there's speculation he killed his political rival, straining relation with EU/US even more. He got re-elected after re-elected, he became infamous.

  • lol the part wit the belarus freedom gets stuck in my head alot XD

  • This is my favorite of your videos, Skadipirate. The emotion and tension throughout the song and displayed in the pictures.... It's overwhelming. I've watched this a million times and every single time feels like I'm feeling these emotions brand new. I just love this video, seeing Belarus as more than just a psycho, her hurting and determination... Good job! Prussian seal of approval! ^^

  • @ThatDarnPirate Thank you very much, I'm honored ;^;

  • You shall probably make another one with the song 'I love Belarus' from Eurovision this year ;)

  • Yey! I'm 1/8th Belorussian! Well, i think so... Cuz my mom is one half Ukrainian and one half Belorussian... And my dad is purely russian... So... *confused* Ah, whatever! Great vid!

  • It'd have made more sense to use the real flag at the beginning... Or well, what should be. Pardon, this song just reminds me of how terrible Lukashenko is.

  • @XushaAQW Yes, but I always use the flag which is the official one and that is this one (I also had that "problem" with the video of Vietnam) :'[

  • Belarus is so beautiful....

  • <3 the last picture with the ukraine and belarus being hugged by russia crying at a grave.

    that one is soo cute.

though this song isnt bad i myself liked the other song from version 1 better.

But that is a matter of taste i guess

  • BELARUSS ROCKS >O<!!

I love belaruss and Iove this vid and I love this song. Such meaningfull lyrics and all the historical references =)

  • There's a mistake in lyrics

    not

    Ды паляўнічы дамоў бяжыць

    but

    Дзе паляўнічы, там воўк бяжыць

(The wolf's running where hunter is)

  • libertà is italian ♥ I really love european languages. Now I can listen many languages everytime I want thanks to you!

  • 2:03-2:04

    she looks full of love!!!!!!!!!

  • this song and the image accompanying it is very well done! poor belarus only have a knife to defend herself.

  • I love how you used different pairings with Belarus.

  • Great Song (love the jabs at Lukashenko >:))

...Can't get over how much Belorussian sounds like Russian though o.o (I didn't even need the subs to understand it)

  • hetalia has made me much more interested in world affairs...and multicultural music..

  • @mangaandanimalluver

YE~S! That alone shows enough how much the Japans rule. They are so brilliant. And I think the characteristics of the Nations human-personifications are very authentic. ^_^

In fact ' Ich liebe es!' :D

The only thing that annoys me in Hetalia is that some plots are not shown right away and mixed up with alot of other stuff. If America cleans his household, I want to see it right away and not Chibi-Italy switching in.

  • @mangaandanimalluver And learning the history of other countries!

  • I like version of Belarus. This shows the struggle and dark side of Belarus, what she's going through and show's how much she's suffering.

The other version shows the innocence of her (even though she's FAR from innocent lol). It show's the good side, how happy she can be, how proud she is to be her.~

    I think you did a wonderful job~!

  • Pff, on a random playlist, the next song is Liet...

  • 1:28

    "Иш бiн актывiст БРСМу"

They sang "Ich bin" (in german)

  • @Feechkana Yes, he sings "Ich bin Aktivist", but I dunno why he used German here...^^'

  • @SkadiPirate I'm pretty sure he used German because of the Nazi connotations, in order to liken the BRSM to the Hitlerjugend. Vielleicht "Lukaschenkajugend"?

  • @SkadiPirate Hmmm, du weißt es nicht? ; )

In germany its official legal to be in an activist and member of a union ( the employee and employer thing ) but infact, if you search a job and you are in a union, you will often not find a job.

Cause you know people who can help you to get the full amount of your rights and so you arent a helpless victim.

But today its all changed anyway: A moneyslave, contract worker and you get handed around all the time, working for a vulture-company anyway.

  • @DunkleMaterie117 This song is called "Belarus Freedom", it has nothing to do with labour rights in Germany. Also, the BRSM is not a union, it's a youth movement, modelled after the Communist Youth League. The BRSM activist here is not a positive character - he is the "wild boar, drunk on moonshine" referred to earlier, and his use of German signifies oppression. The Nazi occupation of Belarus was one of the most significant events in its history, so German is still associated with tyranny there

  • @vonPeterhof

Oh really? Ok if there is so deep profound Belarusian history there, then YOU are right and only because of that. ;)

Because its everywhere the same. To be an activist and to demonstrate for whatever stuff, makes you an unwanted person in public.

And let them whine about Germany if they want. Germany can be still associated with fashism and stuff as well - couldnt care less. ^^ Time the old people die and with them, the last 'spirit' of 'Nazi-Germany' as well.

  • @DunkleMaterie117 Just look up the BRSM on Wikipedia - they are a pro-Lukashenko youth organization. They are not the ones calling for change in Belarus, in fact their "activists" are often involved in silencing those who oppose the regime. I have no problem with activism per se, but you seem to think that the word "activist" should always carry a positive connotation - it really depends on what they are campaigning for. After all, the SA and the Black Shirts were also activists.

  • @DunkleMaterie117 Und das hat mit dem Lied zu tun, weil...?

  • When I didn't know Hetalia much, Belarus and Russia were my fave characters. I still admire Belarus though :]

  • Isn't the pictured with the scarred back CHINA? I mean, it fits, but China had his back scared from the Rape of Nanking done by the Japanese. I don't recall Belarus being scarred at any point.

Regardless, fantastic song and pictures, I just wanted to ask :)

  • @beautyliedead No :]

The body is the body of a female, look at these sexy curves~ ;D

Beside that you can see her bow on her head and her hair is longer compared to China's.

Also, even the scares on her back are not canon, I'm sure there are a lot of pictures and FF's were she's hurt if you look at her history...

  • @SkadiPirate The body shape is female but I don't really see the bow. And China's hair would be longer out of a braid, hence why I asked.

Though yes people do show her as hurt a lot. I was just wondering if you popped a picture of china in there that was ambiguous to fit the theme. :)

  • @beautyliedead Besides, the hair is a completely different color.

  • I can't wait to visit Belarus someday!

  • @GothicLolitaJew what would be the reaction of belarusian people if they realize that tourism to their country has increased dramatically just because of a japanese cartoon character????

  • @bublegumjp I want to visit Belarus because I find the country fascinating. Not because of Hetalia, I've studied Belarus due to Hetalia introducing me, but that's just how I got curious about it. I

  • I love this song. I am a huge Belarus and Hetalia fan. This song expresses how I feel about Lukashenko. If he isn't out of power by the time I'm out of collage, I'd love to go to Belarus just to protest. I know that would land me in jail but...I really like their culture and all that. I agree with this song so much.

  • LOL! I have a freind who i call "belarus"! XD GO APH!

  • @guyvergoddess Hmm...I wonder who that is... <w< WOOT APH! <3

  • @ChibiKyriaki i didnt know you watched hetalia!!! GO BELARUS!!!!!!!

  • @TramaTeamGirl654 I ADORE Hetalia! :D Belarus FTW!

  • @ChibiKyriaki lol i LOVE hetalia,aru!

  • Belarus: perhaps the cutest yet creepiest character in Hetalia.

  • This just broke my heart. Down with that stupid dictator! Going as far as banning their national symbol - That's just torture. "Belorussia Liberta" indeed!

  • I <3 both of your Belarus videos this one really describes her and the actual country while I believe the other one is a childish form of her (from when she was most likely a child along with Russia and Ukraine playing in the snow) which is hard to find now due to everything (character & country) hopefully I'm making sense...

  • *mumbles* president MY ASS. That man needs to get out of presidency, he's been in my whole damn life. *shakes my head*

  • Comment removed

  • just out of curiosity, is this song in russian or in belarusian? both use the cyrillic alphabet and I can't understand either...

  • @xmanganimex If you pay attention to the annotations they read "Belarusian Lyrics" which means that the song is in Belarusian~

  • @SkadiPirate Ah, good point. Sorry about that and thank you!

  • @xmanganimex No prob~

  • Belarus is my favorite APH girl & I love this song!

  • belarus is sexy..that is all

  • does the last picture mean anything? i was just wondering because it is really sad and i wanted to know if it represented anything in Belarus' past....

  • Long live for belarussians without Lukasenka :)

  • You got an MP3 download to this

  • I'd just like to say, other than the obvious fact that this is a job well done, I love this song. I'm Ukrainian, and daily follow Belarusian news, waiting for the people to win, and for Lukashenko to be out.

Long Live Liberty. Bless Eastern Europe. Long live Belarus.

  • @GoGoMariaGo *follow Belorussian news daily, apologies for that. XD

  • both versions of this are amazeing!!

  • Very beautiful video, well-made like I expect from you!

Yeah, there were lots of civil issues and riots in Belarus when Lukashenko was elected. Get better, Natalyia!

  • Where'd you get the pic at 0:35. I think that's one of the prettiest pics I've seen of Belarus.lol

  • @Hephaestuschild zerochan(dot)net, try the tags "Belarus, red"...or instead of red "blood" :]

  • @SkadiPirate Thanks!

  • While watching your other videos I was thinking "Belarus Freedom" would be perfect for Belarus, so I was slightly disappointed with your other Belarus video. But then I found this one and screamed like a fangirl.

Some notes on the translation - the 2nd verse's 1st line means "A wild boar, drunk on moonshine", referring to the activist, while the word Pahonja (pursuit) is not literal - it is the name of Belarus' old coat of arms that was banned by Lukashenko, which made it a symbol of opposition.

  • @vonPeterhof Thank you!! I will fix that asap :D

Just a question...how could I translate the "Pahonja"-line so that it makes sense? Or should I just leave it as "Pahonja is close" and explain in an annotations what the Pahonja stands for!? :]

  • @SkadiPirate Yeah, I guess that would be the best - something along the lines of "Pahonja is close, so we shall live!" I think most people in the anime fandom don't mind annotations and footnotes anyway :)

  • @vonPeterhof Fixed~ Thank you~ :D

  • I hope belarus will find freedom soon...

I'm feeling with you,Belarus. Love from The Netherlands!
