@the pacoluna... the only way that this goal is not in rooneys league is that this lad plays in the conference.... But the finish was more immaculate than rooneys (.....Which hit his SHIN).... or his gaffa polishing off a whisky!
I'm soo f*cking over the moon to have jason walker playing for york I wonder how luton will cope not very good I suppose u might as well donate that 60k because you won't find a decent striker to replace! ;)
@redrum8247 Cretinous troll. First, it's this season and we're only 17 games in and have scored 35 goals already. Second, Walker has scored 14 of those. Third, likes are beating dislikes 252 v 5 on this.
I love Jason soo much. Thanks Luton and thank you to all the people from all over the world that watched it!! I was in that crowd. hard conteneder for rooney's against Man C?
Top class all-round player with great attitude. Hope he stays at York as he's an integral part of the lovely football we're playing at the moment. Don't understand why he's not gone up the leagues earlier in his career - always class when he played against us ! Seems to have been very unlucky at Luton.
@PedanticToab Don't think you had any choice. He had a clause in his contract with Luton that said if anyone came in with a bid of £60k he had the right to go.
@newshawk56 fair enuff - its a shame cos he hit the inside of the post in the play-off final in the dying moments - had it gone in we'd have gone up and he'd have been a hero. it didn't and then he chipped that penalty and was pilloried for it. To be fair to him he was clearly gutted and in tears at the end. I think the fresh start was probably what he needed - good luck to him
Getting out of the blue square prem is worth about 500k to city so make no sense to blow it by selling jw for 500k. Plus he also had a move to scum town which did not work out so think he is just enjoying been at city and the style of play GM has us playing.
Walker is on a 2 year contract so will not leave in January for any amount of money. York will keep him until the summer at the very least and then view offers. Both our chairman and manager have expressed their desire to keep Jason at the club so can only see him staying which is bad news for other Blue Square teams but good news for York City!!!
@bigbadryster I live 3 miles away from a Tesco Extra, I have no idea how much they get paid. You're going to have to explain your point there let's be honest...
Such a brilliant goal wathed about 20 times! <3 JASON WALKER! was listening on radio :L his goal against darlington was emmense aswell! Hope we can keep him as personally i think he is too go for our league but sooon weel be out of it!
@Pogogacy I know. Apart from them clearly being a bit bitter about life (I don't know why they feel 3,000 Home fans wouldn't make a sound!?) they clearly haven't looked at Tsarevich's other videos of the York support and noise that can be generated. Unbelievable internet-warrior-tekkers.
What a goal!! I'm usually at the home games but because I'm now at uni in Stoke, I've missed 4 or 5 games!!! Great to see York doing so well, hopefully Walker will fire us all the way back into the league!!!!
we are york! quality from jason as per, best striker in the league. nice to see the grimsby fans applauding, YCFC champions this year. CITY TIL I DIE.
@MrTommmmmo my mate was released by them a couple of years ago, he was on £50 p/week plus petrol cost. they got rid of their top earners a few years back, no one will be on anything near 2.5k a week im afraid!
@studentuk1 yeah he was probably youth or reserve what was his name? and the person was on about the league in general luton and fleetwood will be paying 2.5k i'd bet you anything, but cheers for your input, you based the whole league on your mate, good one.
@knockoffnige236 LOL not sayin this isnt a good goal from good old Jason Walker and his one against us (Darlington) was immense aswell but Rooney's is 100x better FACT
@CallOfDuteh Its genuine i'd say. It's amazing how loud a home crowd can sound from the other end of the pitch when there's a roof over the main sections of support. 800 Southport the other week being a prime example when they got their equaliser, sounded more like 8,000!
