Thats not it. I live in Brooklyn, (also a dancer) those are my boys. There use to be a local show back when we were younger called Flex N Brooklyn, Where we would battle on stage in front of an audience doin this type of dancing, idk who named the show but that type of gritty, raw street dancin was dubbed (Flexin) That bonebreakin term came later.
