  • I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was like 6 or 7. They've done brain scans & found a white spot in my frontal lobe were their is apparently no brain tissue their & because of this I get electrical discharges or "mini epileptic episodes" from time to time. No neurologist has been able to identify the reason why I have that spot their.

  • @shechshire Strangely enough, I actually have a vertical scar on my upper forehead for as long as I can remember. Please, if any student or neurologist reads this; can you maybe explain to me what you think of this?

  • I have ADHD

  • Yo you is mad mess up I'm in special Ed is because I got ADHD

  • I am actually visualizing my form of ADHD. I am taking you into the middle of it. So you can see just how it is for me as if you had my form of ADHD. I am working on my second ADHD video: My ADHD the movie. You have a nice channel here. Keep up the good work.

  • Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter

  • Well here's the thing, I do everything that an ADD person does, but when I got tested an they put me on drugs it had the opposite effect. So they put me off and told me I didn't have it.

  • We prO i'M ADHD and i'm proud of it !

  • yeah fuck these doctors im 18 almost 19 and i just discovered i had "adhd" and its making my view of opportunity in this world seem so much more skewed. its really discouraging. they make it seem as if its hopeless for ppl who have adhd and before i discovered i had adhd those thoughts never occured in my mind. my view on life completely changed after discovering i have adhd. they MADE me DEPRESSED...

  • I don't what I find more disillusioning about the different sides with ADD; the fear-mongering "all natural cure" holistic assholes who are so scared that if it doesn't involve tofu, it's not worth taking into the body or the conservative parents who simply don't even take the time to sit down and listen to their kids, call them lazy/slacker/etc. and then let them fall through the cracks of society.

Add/ADHD in both adults and children is a real condition. Take the time and LISTEN yourselves.

  • Very well put!

  • I WANT TO BE MORE ADHD !!!!!! yiiihaaaa

  • I have ADHD and what I've noticed is that we only concentrate on the things that we find interesting and even though we can't pay much atention at first, once we've got the concept down we can remember it and be very good at it!

  • healthy brains? ADHD sufferers? what is he talking about? i have it and i happen to be in the top of my grade, higher if i did homework. but hey, im a teen and i rebel, just with a reason and the means to do so effectively.

  • i was diagnosed with adhd in feb. ): i hate it but im trying medication right now so i hope things get better.

  • Oh, and to the people that don't believe ADD exists/ that medication is never needed / that the medicine causes brain damage / that ADD can be "cured": please go back to looking for UFO's. Or at least come up with some medical proof, and i mean actual proof, not with stuff that's being said in 3$ books.

  • to sum some things up: Exact cause for AD(H)D is unknown (though it does have something to do with dopamine). ADD can not be 100% accurately diagnosized. There are as many adult ADD cases as there are child cases, but the symptoms become less apparent to bystanders. People are born with ADD- you don't suddenly get in at the age of 16. The name is misleading: People with ADD ARE able to focus- in fact, they can even become hyperfocused. Medication is only recommended for severe cases.

  • I don't know wether i actually have ADD or not (it's really hard to diagnosize, i've been to different psychologists getting different results), but i know i AM showing the symptoms. I think people should be less concerned with what disorders they might have or not, than with what symptoms they show and how they can live with them. Oh and, ADD/ADHD is a disorder. You are different from the rest of 95% on earth, difference is a disorder. That's not particularily good or bad though.

  • It's really the fear that convinces parents, particularly moms, that their kids are ADHD. Their obsession to find out every flaw of their child sometimes lead to a misled diagnosis.

  • i have adhd and i am one of the smartest kids in my class

  • I have ADD, D: i've never been hyper i can always control myself, but i tend to be quite lazy >.>, i just can't pay attention sometimes ;o is like think about the things i want to do :D its fun but frustrating.

  • ADHD is a gift not a disorder

  • @kevin1421ify

I think its both, I have it.

Anything that is looked upon as 'out of the ordinary' is studied. And those that have ADHD tend to not function as well in society. (or so they say) So in there world its a disorder. In our world we have been bestowed with a gift, mine being creativity.

  • It can be a gift! Im 34 and have ADHD. The gift of ADHD is truly only a gift if we have learned successful coping mechanisims around the symptoms, or channel the positives to pull up the negatives. Some people, due to environment, never learned the successful coping/channelling and their 'disorder' has crippled their abilities and potential. I can see it both ways... not everyone gets to enjoy its potential however.

  • @BMWGrover so ? whats the secret ?????

  • @kevin1421ify it's not a gift. It is a disorder ADHD= Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder

  • People with ADHD are not THAT immoture. You make it look like they'll run themselves over a truck. People with ADHD don't act like that. They just have a hard time focusing and they are hyper

  • @Ebony2z2 hahah some ADHD'ers ......I tend to run into walls.....but also highly creative in my opinion. But ya, that video did make us look immature. We are not...sometimes.....

  • ADD is not a disorder or a health problem at all it's just a different state of mind. We have trouble focusing on certain things while we can "superfocus" on others. We also have difficulty with some subjects and are gifted in others. While we may not be able to focus on acedemic tasks as well as others we are the ones with the original ideas. All notable inventors of our time have ADHD so this asshole should shut up about someone without ADHD having a "healthy brain" while we don't.

  • @snowshredder777 I agree I don't like looking at it like a mental illness either.... but what if it affects your social life in a negative way...especially in the work setting which is where my problem really lies

  • Fuck that guy! My Dopamine is transmitted just fine!

  • lol

  • i am allllways day dreaming..even when im driving..lol I couldn't imagine driving around just focusing on the road fuck id' fall asleep

  • Great. I have it. Now what?

  • If you want to know what ADHD truly is and what the kid who has it goes through, watch "ADHD" by MikeSkullman. I was diagnosed and drugged as a kid for having a "disorder", and nobody in my lifetime has said anything more insightful and helpful than this awesome person.

  • The so called signs of ADHD seem to apply to every fuckin child on the planet.

  • ADHD is a LIE created by the drug companies and doctors to get your kids hooked on some legal drugs. Drugs such as Ritalin and Aderol, and any other pill for that matter, will give them permanent brain damage for the rest of their lives. If you are a parent, DON'T give your kids pills. If you are stressed out because of your child's behavior, don't allow yourself or anybody else to give them drugs. You might as well go and murder a close family member. Parenthood is a challenge for a reason.

  • Aside from better parenting do you suggest to improve mood & behavior imbalance that characterizes ADHD? A better diet & exercise with natural vitamins, perhaps?

  • Optimal diet should be a requirement of being a parent. Exercise should come naturally and be encouraged by the parent. All children should be provided with a large trampoline to jump on for atleast an hour each day. If a kid still misbehaves then that's just who they are as a person. A kid is a human being, an individual and will have their own unique characteristics which make them human. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a brainwashed and programmed sheep.

  • Agreed. This isn't a problem any where else in the world. American parents are too used to finding excuses to their bad parenting. If a kid acts up, give them a good spanking. It's not "abuse." We tie choke collars on dogs to train them. Spanking is the alternative for kids.

  • SPANKING? Are you retarded? NO violence should EVER be used, not physical or mental. This includes shouting at the child. These are the kind of things that leave people scarred for life. Low self esteem, mental disorders, violence. If you need to discipline your child, find a different way, like ground them or make them stand in a corner or wash dishes...or take them to a doctor.

  • spanking is not abuse, it's been used for all of time in all cultures. The skill in parenting has declined fiercely declined in the past 20 years. There is a difference between abuse and minor physical discipline. Spanking a child for misbehaving is different to beating down the child with a broom now that's disturbing. SHOUTING IS NOT DISTURBING!

  • ADHD might not be an actual disease seeing as people must have had it throughout history and were only counting it as a problem now but it's a curable disadvantage.

  • test

  • OCD is more awesome because you never get tired of doing the same thing over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!! YEAAAAAAH!

  • pahahaha. that just made my day.

  • I do what I can, lol ;)

  • hahah gotta love ADHD weee!!!!! i can say some personal experience, ADHD is a good thing cuz it makes you come up with crazy ideas and seperates you from the rest of te boring stupid society. DONT TAKE RIDELIN!!!

  • @WeskJago YA! *high five*
