She got black list in 1960 for comment made to Lady Bird Johnson about Vietnam war. She moved to France for many years. Cam back to States to revive her career.

LOL everyone says that when an original lead singer of a group gets replaced. Jimmy left because he didn't want BB to tour with Madonna or something like that. And I believe I read that Jimmy was wanting BB to be more political (and The Communards WAS more political than BB). And like other groups, Steve and Larry either had to close up shop or continue with a new voice. Whoever it was had big shoes to fill. Jimmy's 2 replacements weren't that bad, I've heard worse.

I'm the guy with the long hair singing back up for Miss Earth here. We recorded this track at Berwick Street studios and performed it everywhere thereafter. It was amazing to work with this grand dame of entertainment and it's a sad loss to this world that Eartha is gone. She never stopped, never gave up and never allowed any self doubt to halt her progress. A lesson to us all from a goddess? Absolutely!
