How many hundreds of years after the coming of Christ was the bible written? In fact when you pass down stories in any religion through hundreds of years later you are never getting exact truths. It would be impossible, just as legends or stories passed down through generations could never be exact. Anyone who thumps the Bible, insists upon it's 'truths' are basing their entire belief system on stories. We have no way of knowing for sure any of it. I believe in a loving God. Not stories.

If you read the book of Daniel, God himself told Daniel to seal things up until the appointed times he wouldn't even explain meaning to the person he was speaking to. Things appear in the bible that were not noticed prior. If you find something wrong with religion or doctrine you are following then you are to fix it and leave it. That is what JW do. Nobody is perfect, we ALL have sin so to think that JW are an exception to that rule is foolish. The BIBLE is GOD's word and that is factual.

Your religion is not based on scripture, it is based on the Society's INTERPRETATION of scripture.

There is a big difference. Disagree? Look at how so many of the doctrines have been changed over the years (start with the "generation"). Wasn't the bible that changed -- it was the WT Society interpretation. You can be labelled apostate and DF'd today for preaching things that the WT taught previously.

If so you really either need to do some reaserch about the history oj JW's or look up the meaning of appropriate. The witnesses claimed that vaccination caused siphylyps and cancer (while they allowed witnesses to smoke cigaretes,) until the 1920's. So, has Jehovah changed his mind about these issues?

Can you really call it 'appointed times' if just one person died because of JW's rewriting the bible?

For instance the Watchtower repeatedly claims that the early JW's were preaching BEFORE 1914 that this year would be when Christ became King. That is a lie. They did not preach this at all. So the Watchtower lies now about it's history. So, OK ,you excuse pars errors, but what about current LIES of the Watchtower?

The Millennial Dawn was never a name we used, it was the name of an old book series which was renamed Studies in the Scriptures. Never heard of the name Metropolitan Pulpit or the Brooklyn Tabernacle Pulpit. The International Bible Student Association was what we were called when we first formed. Back then that was all it was, some people getting together to study the bible.

The Watchtower Society is another name for the organization we use to print out literature.

While I disagree with JW's dating methods, it doesn't negate their use of a name systematically expunged from almost every other translation of the Bible by other religions. 1914 what we said the year was that Satan would be cast out of heaven, or when Revelation chapter 12 would be fulfilled. And we still believe that it happened. I can explain it to you in a PM, would take much more than 500 characters.

1915 was established as wrong when we realized there was no zero year, it went straight from 1 B.C.E. to 1 A.D.

All the other dates were guessed by Witnesses before we realized that there is no point in guessing exact dates because the bible says we won't know.

How do you know that's when Satan was cast out? Its not in the Bible! the date was changed many times from 1887 on up as the prophesies failed. But where DID that date come from? It came from Russell measuring the passageways in the Pyramid of Ghiza - hardly the scripture.

You need to know that it doesn't matter how many hours you spend reading the Bible, if the Bible you read is corrupt. Take the time to compare the Interlinear with the NWT - you be the judge of its honesty. Start at Col 1

JW have never prophesized the actual end days. They simply prophesize that it is to come "like a thief in the night" nobody knows the day nor the hour, not the angels in heaven or the son, only the father. Matt 24:1 and so forth discusses the signs of the end of days. These signs are as clear as the sky we look at, but you have to read it. and then learn and discern.
