GO PHILL! also I remember watching this in 1999 not sure if its in this part but when hes going on about the banking system collapsing, I think Pearly is in the background and the interviewers, who I think are Japanese are suddenly "Fuck this 'popstar' is actually saying something intelligent" he turned out to be right about that. Also the classic SKY news bit... "Its the most miserable song I've ever heard" ha ha ha
@Cruzman3609 Well I agree with you about getting in Thom's head, thats something I wouldve liked to see here, but think about it, there was no way this was going to happen, it was one of the worst periods of his life and he wouldn't tear it open on film, it's just not like him, you know.
And I really like this documentary, it gives you a nice idea of what the tour was for them. Tiring and invasive. Like the top comment said, the copy of a copy of a copy
OK computer is one of Radioheads best albums IMO. In Rainbows is quite good too. Man there is nothing like looking out of a plain. The world looks so small from way up there.
poor phil is in the same position as ringo. Ringo could've been a drumming god and still would've been left in lennon-mccartney's shadow. same thing with phil, only with yorke and greenwood
Nahhh, Ringo didn't have the same skill as Phil has. One of the best John Lennon quotes is when he was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world and Lennon replied "He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles"
Phil's a lovely guy, and his drumming has come on. But he's actually never been that good. He used to stuff up live a lot. He struggled especially with Let Down, coming in at the wrong time, and would fall out of rhythm often.
Some of his drumming is interesting, which is his strong point. But he's not an especially good player on the technical side of things.
i wept throughout Exit Music. does anyone else find this film a lot like david lynch's Eraserhead? very dreamlike is what i mean, the whole thing is like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy, it seems like you've dreamed it all. the day after i watched it i went and checkd all my radiohead cds were still there for fear that i'd dreamed the band completely.
if u u dreamed the band completely (which u didn't) u would be a genious, but only subconsciously, ive had dreams where whole songs played out and whe n i woke up i was like wtf did i really dream that whole song cause it made so much sense in the dream, could of been blunder though....
Holy shit, your right! That's quite an ear you've got there! I even went so far as to play the audio from the video and the Amnesiac version together. They are in the same key and also the same progression. ...."Life in a glass house" it is.....
It's so cool to see them writing a song.

This is one of the most dull documentaries ive ever seen. Theres more montages of stupid city scenes than the actual band.

at the beginning of this video, are they writing "new" (at the time) music, or are they just working on live arrangements? i can't tell.

Isn't genious meant to be spelled 'genius'?
I've been seeing a lot of people spelling it with ious. I was just wondering if it's a simple mistake or just another way of spelling.

It appears to be "A Reminder". There is a full version in the "AIRBAG/HOW AM I DRIVING?" EP.

hmmm its similair but not quite. i guess they just never released it.

It's an early version of Life In A Glasshouse.
Jonny's piano part is played on clarinet in the Amnesiac version.
