I am not an expert either, but Flash is needed for many "moving pictures" on the web, e.g. advertising banners or whole homepages.. Many of the games that we can play on a web browser is so called "flash games".

So, while my iphone cant use anythin with flash (there might be some exceptions if u jailbreak it and then download the right programs) my android does. (more or less)
