  • Hey! I absolutely love your in depth reviews of movies and comic books. And I'm really glad that you are enjoying the GL franchise! I highly recommend that you read GL Emerald Twilight which was a series written in the 90s where it shows the fall of Hal Jordan. I also recommend GL Rebirth which depicts the revival of HJ.

  • Awesome, Sean! I've been teaching GL #76 and others in my US history courses for years; my university students get a kick of out using comic books as primary sources to understand the rise of social justice issues in popular culture (as you pointed out). My GL #76 is my most prized possession (maybe it's my car or my laptop). It'd be neat to see you do some other comic book reviews as you chat about Blue-Rays of superhero cartoons. Heck, I might just assign your vid to my students! Seriously:-P

  • I think you should make a channel, or a series of videos where you read comics aloud and show some panels like you just did in this video because watching this was very entertaining.

  • I just found this channel, and I was just about to watch a movie but I think I rather check out more of your vids. I really enjoyed this.

  • @AgentGlaze Thanks! Hope you enjoy your stay on my little corner of YouTube. :)

  • @itsfrank0 Yeah, I just looked up that Best Of disc. That's of no interest to me, I either have or plan to get all the shows that those episodes are taken from.

  • @itsfrank0 I don't know what that DVD is, I've never seen it around. If it's just a collection of Justice League episodes or whatever, I'm not interested in that as I'll be getting all of the full shows anyway. And yes, they should ABSOLUTELY make a live action Green Arrow, I'd love to see that.

  • do you have alot of steelbooks?i have a few.it looks good on my shelf.no opinion on the blockbusters closing down?there's some good stuff their selling at mine?

  • @ironman4472 I have a fair number, yes. I've got more Blu-ray Steelbooks than DVD ones. I might do a video showing all of them at some point.

  • .....Initiation is on the Superman Shazam dvd that you mentioned.

  • @Scarecrow76 Yes. That's where I was watching it and why I mentioned it. I really want to see a full length Green Arrow movie of some kind. The short was nice, but....short.

  • I really enjoy Justice League episode called Initiation, I believe it's the first ep from Unlimited. It follows Green Arrow as he first joins the Justice League and his first mission with a couple other members, one of my favorite episodes, im sure you'll enjoy it too Sean.

  • its HAL JORDAN.how about a look at your comic book dvds?you did it quick the last time you did it?

  • @ironman4472 Yes, I messed up the name. Shoot me. Already pointed out multiple times in the comments for the previous video. I'll do a comic book DVD overview once I fill in a few more gaps in the collection, Already planning to do an updated full collection overview some time this year, after the move.

  • It's not that easy being green...

  • I do like the TPB too. Especially when it means I can read that and save wear and tear on my single issues.

And investing in comics nowadays is a complete joke. Learned my lesson back in the Death of Superman/Batman Knightfall/Wolverine loses his metal fiascos.

Now I only buy the stuff i love..

  • @Fragminion The last comic I bought to "invest" was Venom: Lethal Protector #1. I bought about 40 copies with the Red Foil cover, not realizing that there were the much rarer silver and gold gold variants, and the highly sought after "black" cover misprint version. Couldn't GIVE the damn things away (and eventually did, as an auction bundle with several other comics that people actually wanted). Never again. Now I just buy to read, fuck investing, it's a mug's game.

  • Amazon does lists a new reprint trade of this comic coming in Aug of this year.

  • @DKrules9 Nice! Good to know folks who want to check this out but can't find the 2004 edition have another option on the way.

  • Can you do a big Batman vid like this thats includes the dvds/blu rays etc please

  • @bringeroffunerals Maaaaaybe! I want to get more Batman stuff in the collection first.

  • Say Sean have ya checked out Kick-Ass? I'd recommend highly that you pick up at least the trade paperback, then check out the movie. Both equally different, but great stories by Mark Millar. Y'know, the guy who wrote FREAKIN' MARVEL CIVIL WAR?!! ;)

  • @EndOfLineReviews I've seen the movie, loved it. Haven't read the comic yet.

  • Continued from below btw what font are you using? Your's looks way more like Green Lantern than the one I used in my episode.

  • @RazMansReality It's "Adventure Subtitle." It was the most Green Lantern-esque one I could find. I've also been using the ProType Titler in Vegas quite a bit lately, which gives you waaaayyy more options for resizing, kerning, manually adjusting the slant, different colors for individual characters, etc. Then of course the Bump Map effect on top of that for extra prettiness. :)

  • @Zaranyzerak Awesome thanks man. Would ya mind doing another tutorial for me some on the pro type titler? You can make it privite if ya want it's just that I've tried to watch some & there all make it sound & look so hard to do. & yes naturally that thing is awesome thanks again for showing it to me!

  • @RazMansReality sometime I meant of course lol

  • Wow when you get into something you sure as heck do your homework! The O'Neil & Adams run is EXACTLY where I would have told you to go after Geoff Johns! Everything you said about it is dead on & I adrore it! Sadly I no longer have any of it. I had the entire run in idividual issues but lost them to a fire 5 years ago :( Thank god you mentioned the trade paper backs being out of print cuz I'm pretty sure my local shop still has them. I'll have to make a call & see if I can get them picked up.

  • Those sound like interesting stories for "Green Lantern". Personally I prefer the animated "Green Lantern" movies over the Ryan Reynolds movie (I have both animated movies), but I do hear that Warner Bros. may be moving forward with a sequel, and if they are, I want to see it based off the comics you brought up, with Green Arrow. I hope to look into these comics someday.

  • @sfighter991 Yeah, I liked the live action movie but LOVED the animated movies. Especially First Flight, that one was just epic.

  • @Zaranyzerak I hard that Geof Johns said that the sequel may take a darker tone and introduce the Yellow Lanterns. i do hope we get a new Green Lantern film. Audiences have forgiven hollywood with not so good superhero films, HULK 2003 Superman Returns, and yet we're had Incredible Hulk 2008 and the new Superman film, so they always have a chance to improve.

  • i liked playing as the green lantern in the mortalkombat vs dc
