Trouble with Ledger's Joker (sounds like a double entendre) imo, is you always *knew* he could do anything at any moment....Basically cos Goyer made sure we were reminded of this at any possible time he cud + a few more times just to make sure! With Jack's Joker, you never knew what the f he was gonna do or how he was gonna behave in the slightest, at any moment....much more terrifying! Seems 2 me film writers can't write scary anymore!...they can manage "cringe" quite well in any genre tho! :/

Heath and Jack were 2 great jokers. They each had their own style and that's what Heath was going for. He knew that playing the Joker like Jack did would've been an insult to him and would've paled in comparison, so he created his own interpretation of the Joker and it turned out AMAZING. The current Batman isn't how hardcore fans would picture Batman to really be. He is a much Darker person and Heath's Joker matched well with that.
