  • OHE SNAEHA! SNAEHA!... SNAEHA! SNAEHA!

  • super super

  • This song was sung in French by Nana Mouskouri. The name of the song is Soleil, Soleil

  • thanks for the information

  • @vanchus But there was another version in english...It was aband. Do you know the name?

  • is the girl dancing alone in the red video at 00:58

    ros ?

from what video is that? is the full version uploaded anywhere?

  • no, that is not her dancing. As far as I know, there is no video of her that has survived. That dancing clip is from the Prince/King Sihanouke film La Joie De Vivre (The Joy of Living). I have tried to get a copy of this film, but with no luck so far. I got the clips from the two Don't Think I've Forgotten trailers.

  • @mahadevaji

I found a clip of Ros sarey sothea in (About Genocide Khmer Rouge 4/37 at 3.16) with two other singers.

Please check it out...It is the real Sothea Clip still Exist...

  • Great job on the video! :)

and it seems like the translations and subtitles are a hit.

  • thanks again for all your help :-)

  • No problem whatsoever. Happy to help :)

  • Masterfully done! Great song (which I hadn't heard before) and WHAT A TREAT to see the actual lyrics in both a language that matches the song (so I can sing along) AND a language that I can understand (so I know what it means). Thanks so much and congrats on a job very well done!!!

  • Fantastic song. I haven't heard this song for years. Thank you for sharing and translating it; and good job with the translation. Keep ém coming.

  • Jeff,

May I ask you to send this song to me pls?

    Thank you.

  • sure, just message me your email and I will send it

  • One million thanks to Jeff and MocaCocaCola for your hard work!!! Hopefully, you'd be able to do more like this. As I said before, I would like highly encourage those of you who are perfectly fluent in khmer and in english to translate so non-khmer speakers and new generation can appreciate our culture. Thanks again!

  • Great song. And great job on the subtitles.

  • ...laughing?

  • this song is supposed to make me cry, but why am i laughing. :) i've never experienced 'salty' love before! :) i think true love that is built on a solid foundation of trust brings happiness, not heartaches. although no love is ever free from pain and suffering, true love always has a way of making any painful situation better. thanks for the TRANSLITERlation. :) (Roxie's terminology) :)excellent work to the both of my friends, Jeff and MocaCocaCola.

  • Wow wish you can do all the other song with translation :)
