Wow. The intelligence of these behemoths is amazing. I've heard of elephants helping people without being asked, using tools with no training and even visiting loved ones' graves, but this is something else. That bull elephant either had bad memories involving lions or it really intended to help the child of his own kind, despite the fact that it probably wasn't his. That just shows how truly complex and convoluted the mind of an elephant really is.

@NavyDogfish As ape can evolve to human. It's very possible that other animals could evolve to higher intelligence forms. This is not that surprising. Many animals have high intelligence (though it's hard to measure them accurately) and complex emotion just like us.
