  • HOLD UP! can everyone just rewind and watch 0:10 and WHATTTTTT!? lol did they just do that without tripping all over each other? or was it some eye trick?

  • @MaxC17 i want to learn that trick that in impossible to do that

  • These negroes wear Dickies.

  • @bmotx Negroes?

  • @crysjumar1

    Yes, Negroes.

  • Break dancers don't wear khakis. I hate advertising.

  • advertising is to get ppl who don't do something to do sometbing

besides, this was a series of commericials that featured all the major american dance styles...country, soul, swing, rock and hip hop

  • i hate assumptions made by people like you

  • I hate assumptions made by people who manage to contradict themselves in eight words.

  • @robbibubbles way to stereotype..

  • Does anyone know who choreographed this commercial? Remember Toni Basil? Of 'Mickey' fame? She choreographed it.

  • the 80s xD

  • Holy shit! I was 11 years old when this commercial came out. This song was stuck in my head for awhile, I couldnt get it out. Damn, I miss the 90s. I wonder who made the catchy beat?

  • i have got to get me some o them pants

  • where can I buy Khakis ??

  • This is so 90'-ties! And I love it!

  • Great commercial, great dance and sound ! i remember I was in the US when it came out. Do you know where that funky mix comes from ?

  • Gettin It Off by Fuzzy Haskins (1977)

  • The Gap had the best commercials.

  • With emphasis on HAD. Why aren't the Gap commercials this inventive and simple anymore?

  • probably because the out of touch ad execs think all our tastes have "evolved"......bring these type of commercials back!!!

  • this commercial came out 12 years ago, and they still look pretty cool back than.....back in '95 we call could agree that people in the early to mid 80s dressed just horrible, how did style drastically change so quickly in that decade but since the mid '90s to now, it's almost the same, just a few tweaks here and there, but nothing drastic? any commenst or thoughts to that?

  • I've thought the EXACT same thing. Hairstyles, as well. From about 1995 till now there has been little change in style. Compare the same 14-year difference between 1981 and 1995 and there is a COSMIC shift. Well spotted.

  • i've been wondering the same thing. like, the 70s style was very different than the 80s, and the 80s was so different from the 90s. but the 90s doesn't seem SO different from now. yeah, there were some trends that aren't around anymore, like shiny sweat suits, big scrunchies, and overalls, but in general, mostly just tweeaks and upgrades.

  • @freshPrincess626

I agree completely. Especially the 80's-if you compare 1980 to1989, it's like they are two different decades! There was so much change in the 80's.

  • to follow my old comment my bad this commercial did come out like 9 yrs before the gap commercials are pretty much tight as heck hopefully they dont change no complaints haha word to your mother

  • I remember this commercial, but the Daft Punk one was the best of all of them

  • 30 seconds and they didnt even say 1 sentence ;D

  • Wow, this was one of my favs!

  • yup, i remember this one. back in the day...

  • But Russey951, this commercial came out like 9 years before the Common one, so quit complaining.

  • terrible

  • oh wow...I almost forgot about this Gap commercial...dang! They were killin' it!

  • you know, i cant find this song for my life.

I know who it is and everything, but i cant find it on limewire/frostwire or anything. If anyone has a link, PM me please.

    This commercial was pretty badass

  • The Song used in the Video is called Gettin It Off by Fuzzy Haskins (1977) and is a song in its own right, not just a song made for the advert, and what a track it is....

  • It's very similar to or based off the song "One And One" off Miles Davis's "On The Corner" album, just watered down.

  • u got that right

  • I used to LOVE this commercial...it kinda makes me feel a little old now, though lol thanks for posting! As far as the song goes, I don't think it's an actual song...just done for the commercial.

  • I had that music in my head for years and now ive found it. thanks for posting

  • Really, really need an ID on that song. It's so damn catchy.

  • The Song used in the Video is called Gettin It Off by Fuzzy Haskins (1977) and is a song in its own right, not just a song made for the advert, and what a track it is....

  • Damn right. It's the reason I've been tracking this commercial down since it aired way back.
