You got lucky that someone would give those to you, and whoever gave them to you is an absolute idiot.
I saw one of those go for over $6000 in scrap. That was when copper was semi-close to it's peak price. Even with prices low that thing would still easily go for $2000+ in scrap alone.
One question. Are you recovering the freon from these with a recovery unit before you dismantle these? Hope so, as it's illegal to cut the lines and let it into the atmosphere, if you get caught it's a very big heafty fine which would be far more than the copper would be worth, just thought I'd ask.
lol rick... i just watched it ... ty for responding so quickly... people like u is the reason i watch youtube.... if a person has a question for u , u always respond and rick i like that about u....just watched the vid on ur 13 yr old's bday.. hey bud i wish u the best on that ... things will work out in the end...hang in there bud...keep posting vids
let me make a guess on the engine in that dodge truck.......... its a 318 isn't it! :) i recognize that exhaust note any time! since my fathers 92 dakota supercab 4x4 has one, and i know all to well its freezing in London, Ontario right now, but it has warmed up above forstbite levels! :) you don't need a air conditioner right now for sure! :) lol
The truck is my friend and neighbors, I do most of the work on it, He's really hard on it. You know, donuts, can't leave without laying a patch, sliding into curbs, driving over bushes and ripping the brake lines out. REALLY HARD on it.
Free Scrap! If youre ever in New York with a big truck I've got lotsa free scrap metal for ya, Rick. All sorts of it. This summer I brought probly 1000 lbs to the dump. From watchin Dave, I know I should be gettin money for it but I just can't be bothered to seperate it all and plus the dump is 5 miles away and my nearest recycler is like 20 miles away.
Got the replacement dropped of about an hour ago. Tonight. Screwed my back with the air conditioner, so I'll hang upside down for a bit, should be good to go.
These Meth heads will enjoy that chunk
