I am glad that you all put it out there! It's time for people to start being real! Cut the TV off and rediscover who they really are as a person. It is amazing to me how so many people can feel entitled to something and won't do what it takes to get it. Hard work/working smart, planning, management of finances as well as prayer is what it's going to take. Many need to understand that the grass ONLY seems greener on the other side if they are not properly maintaining/fertilizing their own : )

great topic I been with my husband for 11 years we been married for going on 3 (03/06/12) I use to be just like this but i had to learn that every relationship is not the same and u must work for what u want ur relationship to be so now im happy..............:-)

Great video. I was wondering if you can do video on some of the things that are different when you're dating and married? I feel in our generation alot of people are loosing what getting married means and how it differs from dating. So many people already live together... etc. I'm not married but I don't want to give off vibes in the dating world that I'm "giving away the milk" and it's not necessary to "buy the cow". I hope this isn't too much of a question. Love your vids keep them coming!

I agree completely with you both you have to be yourself and no partner wants you to pretend to be something you are not. And its not good to covet other people lifestyle it only leads to destruction I am working hard like you guys to finish school and take my time to build myself financially and spiritually so I can help my parents. Great video! Its such a huge problem especially here in Miami. Everyone sees these people on tv living these lavish lifestyles but fail to remember that's not real. Its been pumped up for tv ratings. Constantly I see people and their children going around in name brand clothes, jewelry, cars etc and their home is in foreclosure or their Mercedes is about to be repossessed. I just dont get it!!

This topic was the best message for a new year, every relationship is different and people waste time trying to be what they can't have. TRUTH! I lost a friend because of this. Well, I thought she was a friend. Everything my boyfriend did, she compared hers to. It was as if we were in a relationship competition, and it wasn't about social achievement, it was more about attention, amout of dates, how much he held my hand. Seriously? Funny thing is that she is no longer with her man but I married mine. I don't mean to stick my tongue out at her, but if you want your grass to be green, invest in some fertilizer. Blessings...

This is great! But you guys only really spoke about comparing people based on how much they earn and how much a person can provide. It would've been nice to hear more about people comparing thier other halfs personalities, characteristics etc to another e.g. to a sister, ex, best friend beacause i think thats the worse type of comparison

My husband & I do not allow people to use our relationship as the yardstick for theirs. No one knows the personal sacrifices we've made in order to create our life. Our marriage is not "perfect" by any stretch of the imagination but we're truly happy & that's all that counts. My husband's single friends often say they'd like a wife like me & my husband gives me the "you have these cats fooled" look. I give hime the same look when my friends say how great he is. We're perfect for each other

i feel like you both hit it right on the nail. 100% agree. every relationship is different and has its own struggles. the people who comparing there self to others prob dont realize that doing that only stops them from working on what they dont like in there own relatonship and could be working on. so yeah all in all this was a really good discussion i pray it sheds light on those who need it, god bless you both. <3:P

I really appreciate this video. I'm young finishing college and I have been with my boyfriend since I began and my friends back home constantly put me on the "pedestal" comparing their relationship to mine because he is my first everything and we are still going strong.I consistently remind them that what I put up with they may not in a relationship vice versa comparing is never a good thing because a person isn't focusing on themselves and what they have going on.

Agree!! We are totally different people and our dreams are different. My Husband and I are totally happy and we are very content in our relationship. I know some people who look at my Husband and I and say how they want to have "The Love" we have but they cant put up with the Yearly deployments. Its the distance that makes our love stronger.
