I have an arion metal master and u must have it clicked up on a tube because wen i use my i get a very fuzzy sound id rather use my amps distortion switch on it, i got a pedal so i wouldnt be a pain but i usually end up using my amp, its still pretty reliable tho, i can get a good sound five out of ten times haha, loved ur video tho
Arion Brother!! (I'm glad you liked my Arion Stereo Flanger Demo)
Great demo as always! The Metal Master really is very similar to the Boss Heavy Metal. That is not a very useful pedal. Harsh distortion and strange tone controls. Metal Zone is closer to the DS-1 but with more eq control and a little more distortion range = the best distortion pedal there is. The Behringer Ultra Metal seems to do a really good impression of it though :)
My favorite delay pedal that I own is the Arion SAD-1 Analog Delay. It just doesn't sound like any other delay pedal I've ever heard, the repeats have strange harmonics that are actually quite musical. It's not pristine sounding like a MM or Carbon Copy, but has it's own little sound to it. So ya, I've got some love for Arion
Great reviews, i had the violet Arion Flanger and still have the stage tuner. Arion pedals were half the price of BOSS pedals in Germany, but they sounded good - for their time.
Ohh the Arion Pedals... those where the "Behringers" of my time... lol TTK man, you brought back some memories... when you are 14-15 years old there's never enough gain on a pedal... lol all knobs at 10!!! Happy New Year brother!
@TheOzzk not really....lol, i have my bass/treble/mids around 3-6 lol, and distortion around 8, hahahaha, its not all about cranking it!! sounds shitty when everythings cranked ;)
Hey TK Im 38 yrs old brother and I had the Arion Digital Delay it had the orangish color and black running thru The Arion blue and black Chorus in my loop on my Peavey VTM 60 Half Stack which I still have from new and I would say its close to perfect condition the Peavey with the matching cabinet. Remember that amp had no Reverb so Delay was a must. Back in the mid to late 80s there was no reverb pedal so I bought an Alesis Midiverb III which still to this day I love.
@Sergioterol THe Heavy Metal pedal is a pedal I always wanted but never had. WHen I check on eBay, they're all beat up. Oh well, such is life :-) Thx Sergioterol! Happy New Year.
@lmsjr Actually is not that much of a great pedal... still a collectible i guess... but Metal Zone OWNS the heavy metal... let me check if i can find you any down here, i'll let you know if i find it.
@Sergioterol Dude, the Metal Zone sounds like a can of bees. Really, really pissed off bees. I haven't actually heard the heavy metal for myself, but I cannot see the Metal Zone owning anything, let alone one of the most widely-respected distortion pedals out there.
@lmsjr Yeah!!!! such a shame I sold it... it would have proven to be a great investment by now, I picked it on a flea/trade market for like... 100 dlls
still got my old tube mania. got it new in '88 and its still kickin'.

They both stink, but you can get them both to sound very similar! I guess that means buy the cheaper one.

It's been ages since I last heard of Arion pedals... I have one, Distortion. Very noisy, it picks up every finger noise and hum.
