I saw these guys play in Fuengirola in 1986. They were always more popular in Spain than the UK. I remember going to a launch party for some paint company in 1984 and got talking to one of the hired hostesses. Started talking music and it transpired that she was going out with one of the band. Anyway guys, Spain loved you and i´m still playing your music even today. You are being played every day in my car in and around the Costa del Sol and my kids love your music too ! SPAIN STILL LOVES YA !
Saw Dirty Ray support The Wonder Stuff in Holmfirth the other week and he was outstanding. I've seen him a few times now and he never fails to impress. If you get the chance go and see him or go and buy his album. Available direct from the record label irl.org.uk
Dirty Ray (Kevin Weatherill) will be appearing at glastonbury this year (Tadpole stage - Green futures field) and launching "Shared 2" in Putney London on May 26. Check out my film of the fools performing Through these Eyes
I saw Immaculate Fools performing in Mexico City circa 1996 at a place called La Paradoja del Gato. I was a couple of meters from them. It was a really awsome!
Lead singer played at Kilvert's Hotel, Hay-on-Wye, 12 April 2011. He's now called Dirty Ray and played bluesy, flamencoish electro acoustic guiter over a Tom Waitsiesh vocal, with all the guts in the world. Marvellous
Abrazos...
Yes indeed Psychedelic Furs, Immaculate Fools even Gary Newman all seemed to find it fashionable back then too all do a kind of David Bowie type singing voice
Great song, I bought this single in 1985 ish, a few years later I had a Girlfriend who used to hang out with them.....I always tried tell her that the lead singer sounds so much like the one from The Psychedelic Furs who she'd never heard of. (I still think this now by the way!) Anyone else hear the similarities? Anyway great to see this on here as I'd never seen the video until now.
Absolutely gorgeous...........saw these lads back in the 80's at Teeside Unversity. We were the old 40 somethings standing at the back of the hall,,,,,drinking all in.....they are truly a miss. totally underated...Sue and Garry
Fantastic band, criminally underrated. I saw them in the "Batschkapp" club in Frankfurt, Germany, and Kevin, the lead singer, got a guy from the audience up on stage to sing this song. Funny, and it worked!
Saludos from Madrid !
Underrated band whichever way you look. Last time I saw the lead singer was a few years ago in a folk festival here in North-West Spain. He was there mainly because he had married a local girl from the place where the festival was taking place and had a brief appearance on stage. Thanks for the video.
Fantasticos. Grandes locos inmaculados.
Sensoria, Thanks for the update, i saw this group for many years ago, a Live Show, in Santa Margarita - Mallorca. It was a great show, i even bought a "immaculate fools" t shirt, but that s a long time ago. Great Song from a great band.
Kevin is now living in Lugo, Galicia, Spain, happily married as far as I know. He plays in a pub called "A REIXA" in Santiago de Compostela once a year. Last time I was with him was in 2007...Thats my update...hope it helped! Oh, and THANX for the video!cheers!
What happened to tese guys? I bought their first album in 1985, therewas some eletric in it but a lot of acoustic too. "everything's measured in money, nothing means nothing anymore". Prophetic words for what was, at that time, a country like the UK caught up in the fever of Thatcherism and riots across the UK due to high jobless totals whilst the rich got richer.
i'm back to my 20s, thanks a lot , you are the best. we are still immaculate 'cos those were the days and now we are older but not wiser because in our hearts our dreams are still the same
Hey...!!!
My wife sue and i fell asleep one friday night after going out for a drink and a meal. Woke up with the tv on and this band were playing, thougt they were great, went to see them 1week later at middlesbrough art colledge, they were brilliant!!Nice memories watching this video,Thanks.
It's amazing the way these guys of Immaculate Fools have been an important part of the music taste of people around the world... and how many of us can not understand how come they are not considered one of the greatest rock bands ever... hey lads, from Mexico, with respect and addmiration, we salute you...
Peter Ross was the original drummer playing on the first two albums. After that Peter and his brother Andy - the guitarist parted from the band. Skidz (Paul Skidmore)joined for the third album "Another Man's World" I'm afraid I'm a bit hazy about dates though.
Great to see this video. I was one of Immaculate Fools "Road Filth" for years. I've never actually seen the video before but their music features regularly on my HiFi (I have 5 CD albums and one album on vinyl). This band was truly brilliant and were unbelievably massive in Spain with a good following elsewhere too. If you never saw them live you really did miss out!
Fabuloso grupo.
my daughter spotted her old man in this vid. Keep seeing me in front, blond hair and singing my little head off. Great times, great band and whats this about a fan club?
Hi there I posted up the video on youtube are you the guy clapping in the crowd or do you mean you are the blonde guitar player? where did the audience for the video come from were they all friends and family & fans?
I'm the guy clapping in the crowd which was made up of friends and family.
Used to play in a band called TV Dinners with Paul the base player and in a band called Chalet before that. Have been mates with Kev and Paul since we were very young.Kev not very well at the moment and is in hospital for an operaration so we should all wish him well.
I've got all the Immaculate Fools music. Why are they so unrecognised - weird. Songs like Dumb Poet, Killing Field and No Gods, No Masters are awesome.
I think the other song was removed as anything on here tagged MTV gets removed for copyright reasons very childish as really stuff on here doesn't hurt anyone infact MTV material on YouTube actually promotes MTV free of charge! but they are too dumb to see that! like most big companies who just want to bully the little guy!
Thanks for sharing !!! Haven't heard this for years . .. great memories. I think if you look on MySpace & search for Kevin Weatherall there is some info on Kevin and the band.

Gracias!!
Mil gracias

Thanks for sharing !!! Haven't heard this for years . .. great memories. I think if you look on MySpace & search for Kevin Weatherall there is some info on Kevin and the band.
