    Player:"Suck it down"

  • i saw Dagon before this than i was playing it and was like, "where have i seen this before?" than realized i saw the film 10 years ago or something. its a great game but would recommend playing it first before the film. great story

  • H.P Lovecraft is Kami

  • Dagons a little small...

  • i remember this game , i wanted to fight with cthulu but i think i did not see him in the game physically , maybe because according with lovecraft literature he is 10 kms tall and its not that easy to get rid of him

  • @MrAntropomorfo

According to his books cthulhu is in hibrination.

    Dagon is filling in :D

  • The second an ancient restless immortal alien/god starts thrashing on the boat I'd just eat the end of that Thompson.

  • I'd be scared shitless if that ever came on my boat!

  • all of the lps i have nseen i never seen the dagon fight or if cthulhu ever comes you wouldnt happen to know of anybody who has the complete game with this and any other parts i havent seen would u ?

  • I still think a beast with that size could just grab the boat and drag it into the depths of the sea. Jack = R.I.P

  • Best fucking game ever, I'm so pissed i cant get it working on PC again, fucking glitches,

  • How does Dagon not end up destroying the cannon on the boat?

  • He may have defeated Dagon, but Cthulhu would kill im with a breath.

  • I have this on both PC and Xbox, sucks we'll never see the sequels....

  • @NergalBladmouth there was one in the works

  • Yes, but i have problem with task about the cliff and canon. What i will make? I fire in cliff and nothing happened.

  • Jack: I will shot you in the head Bitch

Dagon: Aw yeah!? Do it modafucka

    Jack (SHOTTING): *trollface*

    Dagon: FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • That isn't a dragon, that's Cthulhu...

  • @12thTerror Cthulhu is more like an octopi. This guys a big fish.

  • @Omega1000AQW

I see that to now :P

  • @12thTerror No this is not...have you never seen pictures of cthulhu

  • @12thTerror wtf are you talking about?

  • @optiluiz

I posted this 6 months ago please don´t comment useless things.

  • I'm R'lyean...

  • Dagon reminds me of my Year 10 Maths Teacher

  • Dagon reminds me of the first boss in Resistance 2.

  • Perfect, now I'm insane.

  • Polak:D

  • I first start watching this scene and I'm like "Daaamn Dagon, you sca..." then it suddenly turned into " :d AHHHH! KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT!" ...this is also why I can't play any games with much combat.. :I

  • Wait, that's not Cthulhu.... does this game... have the scene thingy with him...?

  • I looked at Dagon only when I needed to shoot him. Otherwise I looked STRAIGHT DOWN and ran in circles hoping not to get hit.

Massive sanity failure twice in a row.

    What.

  • the best game i ve ever played

  • You have to wonder why he keeps popping up in the ONE place where you can hit him with the main cannon.

  • @garrysmodmoviemaker1 because he's a fish person so he has the memory of a goldfish.

  • RELEASE THE KRAKEN

  • one of the best fps games ever made, love it

  • @xHAZELRAHx It's not an FPS. It's a first-person survival horror game in which you use guns at some points.

  • Nothing is dead which may eternal lie...

Until I put a 76mm directly in its eye...

  • "It's a statue of Dagon, minus the missile I lodged in his face."

  • "HEY! DAGON. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK YOU" *rocket*

  • IM SICK OF THESE MOTHA FUCKIN' DAGONS ON THIS MOTHA FUCKIN' BOAT!

  • Dagon: Ima chargin my pimp hand!

Jack: AHHh... wait... if your arm length is about the size of the boat and your obviously bigger length wise horizontally speaking, then why can you just flip the boat over?

    Dagon: uhhh....

Jack: for that matter, why is it that you keep smashing the missile control on the boat yet it has no effect, couldn't you rip it off at any time you so pleased?

Dagon: look you know how most body builders are weaker then their girth? Yeah... sorta like that.

  • 0:51 whys the game in different lagnuage

  • That's becouse the creator of this video is a polen, and he owes a polish version of the game.

  • @MWaser "a polen"? XD

  • Durrr... Yeah, I made a mistake... I meant a Pole, a resident of Poland. I don't know how that "n" got in there.

  • o_o That's Dagon?

  • Hello Serephus.

  • Hey! you are Dagon arent you! =D

I loved your book, im a big fan of you and...

    (crushed by fist)

  • What the heck is Dagon? I haven't read all of Lovecraft's Cthulhu-Stories yet. Is it even created by him?

  • @ArthurShawcross As I understand it, Dagon is a god of the Deep Ones..I'm not real clear on the mythos, though.

  • @ArthurShawcross Dagon is the avatar of Cthulhu. He appeared in the short story "Dagon" (which is similar to the story Call of Cthulhu). He is worshiped by the Esoteric Order of Dagon in Shadow Over Innsmouth (along with Mother Hydra and Cthulhu)

  • @ArthurShawcross Actually is ancient summerian god of the sea, but lovecraft has a lot of influence from ancient myths

  • Oh that Dagon...

    He's so crazy.

  • "bad sound quality" , what an uderstatement.

You're better off ditching the original sound and slapping some Rick Astley tunes for background music.

  • Do you think Dagon is dead?

  • @manryboy Nah, he was probably just going "I am too hung over to deal with this crap."

  • 0:44

  • does dagon have legs or a big snake like tenticle thing

  • @Nemesis0300 I'm pretty sure he's just a bigger version of the smaller fish monsters

  • Comment removed

  • When I was first playing this I was like oh cool. Then Dagon came out of the water and i was like, "Is that.." Oh my god. The thing starts slamming the boat, it was to epic.

  • this game is so awesome for letting u fight DAGON

  • I lold.

  • great game, picked it up for about 4 bucks in a bargin bin, best 4 bones i have ever spent! lol

  • 4 bucks! Nice find! I paid $40! Still, money well spent!!

  • @Freakinstien88 I wish I could find it, Wouldnt mind giving it a try. Im HUGE into Lovecraft and the C'thulhu Mythos.

  • @TheCaptainLulz look for an iso, if not, then pvt msg me ill give you the iso

  • @Freakinstien88:

Just have him buy the game,it's $10 on Steam you fucking pirate.

And idiots like you always wonder why companies like the one that made this game go bankrupt.

  • @Trazen4 Not if i give him my own copy you bum!

  • @TheCaptainLulz:

    It's $10 on Steam.

  • Actually the boat did distract him, and while his head was instantly repairing itself (you can't kill him :P) he was pulled under the ocean again.

  • You can kill him in Scribblenauts :) but seriously, is Cthulu worshiped as a sort of god or just a demi god?

  • He's like a god I guess. He's the most powerful Old One on Earth, but the outer gods (outer space gods) are much more powerful.

  • can you give me an example of an outer god?

  • Azathoth

  • nyarlathotep is still walking on earth too in different appearances. and he is really more powerfull then dagon..

  • I know o_O

  • Complicated question. In Lovecraft's work it's never entirely clear WHAT Cthulu is. He came from somewhere in space, his birth associated with some supernova or another, came to earth with his immense and malevolent power, and was worshiped in one way or another, in some culture or another; either as a god or elemental force of nature. Then he just kinda...fell asleep.

  • He's referred to as a god in The Other Gods. The Other Gods are "gods of the outer hells that guard the feeble gods of earth" It can be presumed that Cthulhu is an earth god as he is on earth and he is not huge, and he was defeated (temporarily) quite easily (boat ramming).

  • Like a huge lazy bastard he is.....

"oh honey im too tired to enslave humanity... ill do it tomorrow.... but honey the pace games are on.... but honey i just want to rest a little..."

Bastard Lazy Fish i tell you.....

  • @Blitzbane Err... no. He was put into a sort of coma by the elder gods, who are the only force of good in the Cthulhu Mythos and who stand against the outer gods and the great old ones.

  • er, what? The outer gods are FAR more powerful (but fortunately remain outside of reality...for the most part), and the elder gods are in no way good at all (technically they're not really evil either; after all, you wouldn't consider a human who decides to kill ants evil, would you?). yeah, I really don't get why you consider the elder gods good.

  • @LotusGramarye You are right about the Outer Gods, I believe that's what I said, but what I meant about the outer gods is that they are the only thing close to good in the mythos. They are far more benevolent than the outer gods and the old ones, in other words.

  • by far, scariest game iv evr played

  • first time i fought Dagon i was like "holy shit"

  • I wish Cthulhu appeared in the game D:

  • I loved this game so much when I bought it, but after about a month or so of playing my comp got hit with profile corruption that put it out of commission for about 3 weeks, Idk if its the games fault, but for fear of it happening again I havent reinstalled it, has this happened to anyone else?

  • Yeaah that dam marine got what he deserved, trying to weld out Jack, son of a bitch!!

  • my response: JESUS CHRIST THAT THING IS HUGE!

  • BOOM! headshot.

  • oh, that daggon dagon!

  • AAAAH! MAH SPEEKERZ IZ FARTING!!

  • I didn't see it that way at all. Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought it was a damn good game.

  • you're right. there is nothing wrong with it. great game.

  • then dont comment,ever

  • then how come you got this far? if it was boring and frustrating i would just stop playing it... i think this is not boring or frustrating, its challenging.

  • i LOVE THIS GAME ~`

  • Who i sthe final boss? Cthulhu or Azathoth?

  • Hydra

  • i think its hydra.

  • Dagon:

Rawr, I'm a dagon, fuck you!

    Jack:

NIGGAH GET OFF OF MAI BOAT!

    Dagon:

Bitch, I'm the shit, what are you gonna do?

*Jack shoots a missile in it's head*

    Jack:

    MISSILES BITCHES!

  • @Joroshira not funny

  • @kicek016

This was posted over a year ago. Things have changed. Deal with it.

  • Lol why to be so bitchy, he could have just pulled the ship under the sea..

  • You were lucky in this fight. Sometimes Dagon shakes "Urania" like a toy boat and you just don't have enough time to lay hold of the handrail and lose health.

  • So what the Hell was that running in the hall and attacking the sailor?

  • A deep one. They are small versions of Father Dagon. The main character is psychic and can see through their eyes sometimes.

  • Dagon looks like the monster of Clash of titans.

  • put clash of titans movie the part one min 9:05 are brothers or are the same monster?

  • widze że masz polska wersje jezykowa tak trzymac!XD

  • I wuv Dagon.

  • ive REALLY gotta pick up these books

  • Im using the pirate bay and utorrent to get this....it reminds me of morrowind

  • Godamnit this boss is hard i always lose sanity in the boss fight and i even shot 7 gun batteries to the dagon and still i lost the fight godamnit any ideas im gona try evil muppets tactic tommorow.

  • oh yeah i know how to beat him easily

    1.stand near the cannon

2.If it comes up from ANY DIRECTION, just move behind the cannon.

3.If it shakes the ship, grab hold the railing next to the cannon

4.ONCE it appears in front of boat, BLAST IT

    5.REPEAT!

  • Did you know that if you stand at the front of the boat, you don't have to run about or hold onto anything. He can't reach you when you're there unless he comes up at the front, but you have plenty of time when he does to get to the cannon. You shouldn't have to get hurt at all during this part.

Shame it won't work on my new PC. You can never zoom in on the island to kill the sorcerers. I tried the supposed fixes but they didn't work. I don't really like using other people's saves either. =/

  • It is a known bug, MOST of the players are stuck in that spot. There are saved games around there in the web. It was the only way for me to continue with the game. Obviously, all your progress, times, journals and actions will be sadly replaced by those of the unknow guy of the UK that has take plenty of time (like 14 hours) to reach the "OMFG!!!OMFG!!! Its Dago...gaaaahhhaa!!!!" Part.... ¬¬ It sucks, but there is no other way...

Sorry 4 my bad englsh, hope helps

  • you there is a movie Dagon, the people in the village are all fishheads and they are suffering slaves to dagon

  • does anyone know if this game is compatible with the 360?

  • To behamut92: It's compatible, but with some issues. Some 360 users complained of sluggish frame-rates in certain areas and/or problems with music, or a missing ending cut-scene. Some users claim no problems, so your mileage may vary.

  • It's on the compatible list

  • man! This game is tense

  • Oh shit, that thing is SCARY!

  • this is one of the greatest boss battles ever.

  • I wasn't really impressed by the Deep One/Dagon models in this game. "Shadow over Innsmouth" gives the impression of flopping, awkward-on-land, loathsomely struggling creatures, not the brisk and energetic fish-monsters seen here. And "Dagon" gives an impression of vile greasy slickness - this thing just looks like the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Unimaginative stuff from Bethesda.

  • Why would they be awkward on land? Deep ones are amphibious. If I remember rightly, it was the people partway through the change that moved awkwardly as they hunted for the protagonist in Shadow Over Innsmouth.

  • That a creature can survive on land doesn't mean it is AS well adapted to it as in water. Animals evolved to be good swimmers have no reason to be good runners. It works the other way around too. Take penguins - they're land mammals and swim with extreme grace and elegance underwater, but on land waddle clumsily.

The Deep Ones are awkward and "flopping" (Lovecraft's word) on land because the're made for the deep ocean. They only don't destroy humanity because they've no interest in doing so.

  • What about frogs? On land they're movement isn't clumsy and the deep ones were partly modelled after them, as you can see from reading their description. And I know about the last part (why they don't destroy humanity). Not quite sure why you'd bring that up when we're talking about descriptions. Also, comparing them to penguins, while I can understand your point, is kind of a clumsy argument. Frogs and the like make more sense because, as I said, they are what the deep ones are based on, partly

  • Just read the story. They are described as "flopping".

And if you think that a frog's hopping isn't clumsy, we've obviously been looking at very different frogs all our lives.

  • So now it's going to descend into trading insults in a round about way? It depends on your perception, I think. I don't see it as clumsy. Slow, yes, but deliberate. If you want to continue the debate, fine, but grow up and leave the passive aggression out of it.

  • What insult?

  • "And if you think that a frog's hopping isn't clumsy, we've obviously been looking at very different frogs all our lives."

A rather indirect way of saying "You're an idiot of you don't see it".

Remember though, that I did say "If I remember rightly", meaning I could well be mistaken. Since you brought it up, I do remember something about flopping. I started reading it recently, but haven't gotten round to finishing it again so I'm sure you're right. I just don't want to skip through to the

  • part in question because I'm enjoying re-reading it.

  • I guess he didn't realize Bethesda was the publisher, not the developer. That was HeadFirst. And, unfortunately, this great game was their demise. Also, Bethesda had to pick this title up last minute, otherwise it might have never seen the light of day.

  • I somehow imagined Dagon would be a lot tougher and less susceptible to bullets. You know, being a god and all.

  • Isn't Dagon just a very old and big deep one?

  • I got the game and fought him. I'm surprised that they made Dagon THAT weak. I actually expected the fight to take an hour or something lol.

  • Well, I have not played the game, but its kind of a good thing how they showed Dagon at 00:45 through 00:56, it gives you a feeling of what the man saw in Lovecrafts short story "Dagon".

  • Yeah, it is a good thing regarding that.

  • shit i want this game now, Lovecraft rules

  • How the hell do you advoid dying from massive sanity failure? It's pissing me off!!

  • to not dye by massive sanity loss is easy.dont look at dagon to much.

  • Yeah, I already figured it out. I just kept moving around and it seems to work well.

  • Dagon is one ugly beast. He looks like a colossal fish man.

  • Looks like Jack Walters is part Japanese, because he turned Dagon into sushi.

  • I love dis game but i never could get out or in to dat factory when u have 2 save Ruth

  • You don't have to save her. She died in my Savegame.

  • You don't have to save her. She died in my Savegame.

  • manymarius...ass senn in 0:08..when the wave come have have to grab onto one of those bars

  • man what I have to do when it cames that huge wave?

  • when you want to have him at the front of the boat you have to stand there it is nos as dangerous and it works quite well

  • That was a whole lot shorter than I expected...

Anyway, hate to be a nerd, but in actuality, Dagon and Hydra are immortal in the sense that they can't die of old age. Normal Deep Ones are the same.

And both Dagon and Hydra are supposed to look pretty much like huge fish-people, not an octopus. Of course, if you completely ignore Hydra's existance, Dagon can usually have some other aquatic features, like John Jude Palencar's version.

  • Basically. That's the best way to tell the difference between "Real Gods" in the Lovecraft-verse and the "Mortal Gods".

Mortal Gods are generally fish or reptilian like(Dagon & Hydra), then there's the "Lesser Gods". Cthulhu is about the only one that's been documented. And then, there's the incomprehensible "Outer Gods" of Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth and such.

    So, in short:

    Fish/Reptiles = Mortal Gods

    Cephalopods = Lesser Gods

    Utterly Incomprehensible = Outer Gods

  • No Cthulhu is one of the great old ones. The lesser beings are The Great Race of Yith and the Flying Polp, or at least I think so

  • i laughed when i first heard what stephen king said what cthulhu looked like to him.

  • I was surprised that he didn't just puncture the boat and let you sink.

  • mmaybe dagon wanted to have a little fun before he killed the guy, the great old ones aren't known for their kindness, letting die quickly by drowning would be kind...

  • i think this was just another smaller deep one not dagon himself

  • No, later in the game your character specifically states that he killed Dagon.

  • wouldn't be much of a game if you died that easily =/

  • woah...ok how the hell do i find the books? i looked all over my local shoppin center and i couldnt find this book anywhere!

  • The Cthulhu Mythos books are pretty rare sorta...

They aren´t to be found in your everyday store.

  • My guess is they are available for free on the internet in online librairies which gives access to books which are now no longer protected by IP rights. Lovecraft is beginning of the previous century so they must be available for free as e-books.

  • this game reminds me of Peter Jackson's King Kong. even though this game came first

  • yeah

  • yea this game was good never passed that cave area tho

  • Lovecraft's books are wonderful. This game is fantastic as the books. I loved its story, and I think it's one of the best games i've ever played, also because it is just like the books.

    Cthulhu Fhtagn

  • thats one of an big ugly motherfucker!

  • HAHAHAH LOLZ

  • i like this game

  • In case it would be Dagon himself, I suppose it would be impossible to defeat him... even if the mass sanity loss would allow you to use the cannon.

  • are you sure that was dagon? or cthulu himself? >_> ?

I thought Dagon was a giant squid while Cthulu was the humanoid squid...
