  • Not sure how you get access to archived data, but my meteor-hunting buddy told me they can track meteor paths using NEXRAD radar.

  • @seeingUFOsPA i dunno.... but there are forums and such, meteor data bases where ppl track them n whatnot... sonotaco. jp

  • @MrSpubby Aha, actually if you go to spaceweather. com right now, they have a good picture diagram showing some of the orbits of the fireballs they've been tracking! perfect example. or, go to : tiny url. com /meteorbits

  • Nice. I Didn't Get to see the Meteor Shower last night, so thanks for that small show!! Peace! Nick

  • there was a meteor shower at 12 am to 2 am and continuing up till about a half hour ago EST

i was just out side a while ago and i saw about 6 shooting stars :D

  • @honse246 i was looking saw nothin.. gonna check my camera to see what it caught.. congrats!

  • @honse246 Indeed,In the UK it was at its peak around 3am til dawn.Saw a few myself lastnight too. It's a Quadrantid meteor shower :) Most spectacular

  • What time was this? I saw something almost identical in Manchester, England around 8pm. My mum suggested it might be a firework but I have never seen a firework like that before. One single stream of brigh light heading downwards. Can anyone confirm if anything similar to this was seen in the UK at that time?

  • @antharding According to AstronomyIRL's twitter ...

"Wow! Getting loads of fireball reports in! A fireball entered our atmosphere over Ireland at roughly 8:20pm last night.."

judging by the timestamp in this video clip, i guess that makes this the fireball you saw? :D very exCiTiNG!

  • @antharding Hiya,I was watching the Quadrantid meteor shower from 12.30 onwards. The peak was at about 3am this morning(4th)until dawn....Hmmmm,your sighting sounds intriguing i must say x

  • @antharding

hey i live in Ireland and i' ve seen the same thing around 20 12 h,stream of green bright light heading down,it seem like its going to hit the ground ,it all happened like 50-60 m above the ground and there wasn't any noise

  • I saw 3 shooting stars in a 15 minute period. About 445am CST.

  • Just a thought....If anyone has the time to do so,see if you can track the shower on radar.....You might be able to see it coming....would be very cool to forcast exactly where they are coming from and where they can be seen the best.I know you guys have all the radar stuff.......

  • @MrSpubby that info is out there... done by amateur/pro astronomers.. just google it

  • @MrSpubby I want Radar stuff :p If i could track,wow...I'd be stuck to it like glue :)

  • Looks like the scene from men in black when that UFO crashed on that guys ranch lol

  • I saw 46 meteors from 2:30 am till 5 am!!! Saw a bunch of lil ones at about 4:40 am just to the right of Arcturus, a decent shower, some were brilliant.

  • That reminds me, for 3 days already in the evening I see a fast flying bright dot in the sky, maybe it is a satellite but it's even brighter than Jupiter which is the brightest object in the night sky after the moon.

Btw will you cover the dead fish phenomena in Norway, media say that all 20 tons of dead fish soon mysteriously disappeared...

  • Plus a vew rapid blinkers, it looks like. Nice opload!

  • Same in Norway couple days ago, many saw it.. Big orange light, with a smaller light that followed it. No reports on tv or web sites.

    Expect more.

  • @TheAnonCollective ya mean the one on Christmas Eve? if so, that one was widely reported...hmm umm... lots of Strangeness out of Norway past several days.. most recently being the tons of dead herring that washed up on shore, and then vanished back in to the ocean not long after. there's even a fake UFO video floating around in the mix claiming to be from Norway. fake lights in the fog

  • i saw a ball of light on Christmas Eve, it came in like that, low, then began blinking like a conventional aircraft.... it looked almost exactly like that, a complete bright round ball of light with no tail-ish appearance. the skies seem to be full of activity. something is happening.

    love&light4all

  • @amandaGALAXY1111 I saw a ball of light in Richmond, va that i thought was a shooting star. but i wasn't sure what it was.

I had never seen a shooting star in my life until the last 6 months and in that time i've seen 3.

  • what the hell is that? i have watched it over and over.. the angle of the vid is so great, seeing it getting bigger and bigger.. i want to catch it

  • didnt see anythiing...is it still time for it to peak??

  • That was Vegeta

  • meteors brought in by the approaching Nibiru system! :-)

  • Makes you wonder about all the dead fish aswell then, i wionder if ther two things are related?

  • something like Hessdalen lights?

  • perkele! - nice vid :*

  • sweet

  • What an awesome shot.

  • its a alien mothership coming down

  • I went outside to see the meteor shower but I didn't see a darn thing '-'

  • @luis9814 same here in AZ... plus I left my camera recording outside, still a few hours of darkness left so we'll see.. I was watching on NASA's pixelated live stream, saw a couple faint streaks, meow... :p

  • Nice. I've been outside in the cold for 1 hour off and on look for bright lights. Anyways, I missed the meteors. Maybe I should have gone out when you posted the bulletin. 15 Degrees right now.

  • @stuzapusa brrrrr.... 45.8 degrees here.. not so bad... and i've been doing the same, checking outside from time to time, got the camera rolling which I will review... didn't see squat, but it's always worth the look, I say. Farbeit for us to see anything spectacular when we're EXPECTING it, no,,, :P

but On Christmas Eve? /watch?v=TBYOq7uLI44 Or.. New Year's Eve? /watch?v=VBFo504WUPA i guess the Divine Cosmos has got jokes too xD

  • @Sheilaaliens Best to catch it on the fly. I saw a fireball back in 86 while walking home late at night. Awesome. Maybe I'll check one more time for fun. : )

  • very cool

  • cool!

  • wooo 1st post, nice catch !
