  • Cool controllers

  • The fat guy in the shades is my brother, went up the control tower last week with some friends from the UK and it was quite an experience !

  • great video of Air traffic control awsome!!

  • if being a captain in command of a commercial flight and listening carefully to the ATC especially during approach and departure sequences out of airports like Heathrow, O'Hare, Hong Kong, Narita etc is hard ....being in the shoes of the ATC at the same airpots is a LOT HARDER

  • They look so young!

  • not bad, this hong kong FIR is the one of the busiest airport in the world & i can see so many flight plan strips that consist eastbound, westbound & crossing airways. all ATC use thier imagination to expedite & manage the traffic according to the flight plan strips so that aircraft can land & take-off safely without any collision. all atc should be given the denotes name that so-called the "UNSUNG HEROES". responsible for all body lives for the rested of thier life..

  • a China Southern B757 how about Philippine Airlines?

  • there is alot of women

  • looks like a very quiet day, for one of the world's busiest airports ;P

  • they are on their lunch break hahaha

  • Those are some nice Debrites!

  • great video...how did you get into the tower?

  • I've gotten up into O'Hares tower, but my flight school had to arrange it, and you have to fill out a load of paperwork. Even for a tower at a class D airport theres lots of stuff to fill out before you can go up.

  • Cool...it's worth filling out papers to see all of this.

  • so anybody can go in the tower after filling it all up?

  • LOL thats what happens when you video tape a monitor, like a tv or pc

  • its coz of the recording

  • its cos of the refresh rates on the monitor that the camera cant pick up, so some frames are lost, causing it to appear like this.

  • I'm really impressed.

  • This is good stuff.

  • Very very interesting, and instructive. Thanks for sharing!

  • Depature and arrival sequence, of course!

  • what are actually the sticks with printed number of flight, airline etc. for?

  • It's a flight strip, and pretty much its just kind of like a backup for the information in the computers, and sometimes the TRACON is located on a lower level of the tower, and they'll "push" or transfer the flight strip from CLR/GND/TWR control, to the TRACON below. Then they kind of just throw em out.

  • also, it's the most efficient way of the controllers to keep track of planes, and there is no way any information can be lost during a power loss, computer error, or a missed handoff.

  • They are looking outside because it's their job to do so! They're practicing control on tower! The 'clips' are called flight progress strip, certain items must be recorded on it.

  • Cool video
