  • Your banter with ET is funny.

  • "Sssmoking some...stufffff."

The way you say that just makes me chuckle, haha! Keep it up, Pete.

  • wow now this is a first. It says the vid is 8 mins and yet goes off in 3.5 go figure. I hope all is ok. I love hearing your stories

  • Hi Peter... I am listening to all of your stories & am am very happy you are sharing them with us :)

    Mike Peter

  • Fat hen contains toxic saponins, which are usually not absorbed by the body very well but likely were when smoking it. If growing in nitrogen rich soils the leaves will also contain Hydrogen Cyanide.

  • LOL, as a pre teen I can remember sending my sister to the store with a "note" from Mom (yeah, I wrote it)to get a pack of smokes...shame on me (that was in the 60's. I got a 'high" from those ciggies.

  • can't u work out where the "stop" button is u retard ?? if ya dont like it .. turn it off .. or is the old fella holding u hostage with a gun to your head making you watch the vid??

  • weneedmisanthropy, I`d like to hear about your Grandpa. I bet you have some great stories to share about him.

  • weneedmisanthropy, I`d like to hear about your Grandpa. I bet you have some great stories to share about him.

  • Are you illiterate?

  • You're pathetic, you'll be old someday too and if we don't listen to our elders the world will end up even worse than it is-D,Age 36.

  • you deserve to get slapped across the face 5&1/2 times!

  • opps... this is a reply to weneedmisanthropy. Sry all

  • Hahaha nice i have that ET doll too!

  • As a 32 year old guy in the States, I would like to comment to you simply that I enjoyed several of your videos today...cheer up a bit though huh? Consider talking about mistakes you made earlier in life you would take back if you could, or maybe about trouble you got yourself into back when...I would be interested to hear.

  • Very funny Peter! I also had similar experiences as a child.... I can relate to almost setting yourself on fire by trying to smoke tea leaves. :)

  • Lose ET. Keep awilliams100. :-) Thanks for the stories!

  • lol Thanks for that aspencrest. Glad you enjoyed the song :)

  • Thank you so much for informing the younger set. Some believe that our medicines and vaccinations are harmful. They just don't know what it was like before the medical researchers blessed us with their findings.

  • LOL you misspellec youtube at the end! you spelled it yutube. happens to me all the time.

  • It wasn't a spelling mistake it was a typing error or as the the French say "un erreur de frappe"

  • I love your videos.

  • love it-Granpa Peter smoking some "stuff". puff puff pass. always a treat, getting glimpses into a life-

  • haha that was awesome

  • :(

These videos are becoming less and less frequent.

    Please don't stop!

  • My great grandfather died of tuberculosis during the early part of the 20th century..

By the way, during those last set of credits, you left the O out of youtube!

  • LOL "I'm not going to let you on here if you don't behave better than this!" Was that supposed to happen? Nice story as always.

  • smoke what? lol

  • That story reminds me of when my friend were 12 years old going on our bikes a mile out off the village we live in to smoke roll-ups that we had stolen from his dad. Good to see that over 50 years that nothing changes with kids.

  • Love your show!

  • ha ha ha e.t is peters right hand man great stuff

  • Hi Peter, I'm a new fan from Canada (now living in Hong Kong)! Looking forward to the next one already! Cheers

  • great video, old-timer, GREAT video!!

( your not THAT old! )

  • Once again, thanks Peter....I always enjoy listening to your stories and admire you for trying this type of communication. Keep up the good work.

  • Another "wild" video from your imagination. Look - get a therapist because we are bored with all your fantasies

  • Shivermetimber80, If you don't like them, why keep watching?

  • then why do u bother coming in here you need a therapist as well i thnk

  • You mean YOU get bored. Who is the WE... Cause all of US - WE, Love Peter.

  • Your videos always leave me smiling, thank you!

  • Smoking tea leaves? Hahaha! I've always been curious about that.

I myself once smoked tissues because I was curious about why people smoked and what it was like, w/out actually getting a cigarette. It was... pretty bad. I coughed and hacked and there was all this smoke (I had thoughtlessly done it indoors) and my eyes were watering. But it was actually a pretty funny experience thinking back.

  • the pride of ENGLAND

  • I would say: the pride of EUROPE

  • Oh please - the man is senile and he make's up wild stories. He should be telling them to a therapist and not YouTube.

  • Another Quality Video

  • We love you in Pittsburgh, Peter :)

  • LOL nice ET intro :D

  • My husband smoked grape vines and hemp once at about the same age as you. The pain alone was a cure and he never wanted to try tobacco let alone anything else.

  • ET goo HOME!!

  • I enjoy listening to you as always. I check almost everyday so I won't miss your next one. Glad to see you are taking is slower now. Was worried you were trying to keep up with all the responses and not getting enough exercise! LOL! Love the English words I'm learning like 'cricky'(spell??) for instance.

  • WTF ET?

  • Dear viewers, I am interested in what you think about Peter's world view. Given that he is from England and most of you are not, do you think he has extreme opinions?

I am keen to know what you think.

What about the age factor? I was surprised when I first realised that someone of his age might embrace such a new form of communication.

Do you like geriatric1927 because of this?

I am keen to know what you think. Thank you already.

  • God doesn't build walls or mark boundaries....people do.

  • Thank you geriatric1927

  • FAT HEN? I think ET has been getting into that stuff Peter!

  • hey peter, i saw your name in the time magazine ( issue of November 20.2006 ) hope you are doing great, love watching you

  • Who cares?

  • Hello Gerry, I hope you can have a look at my videos too and give me some video blog advice.

  • Haven't been around for a while. Once again thanks for making me smile and for memories, things we do as kids!!!! Certainly bought back memories for me:-)

  • you make my day every time i see one of your videos. thank you Peter. I'm pretty sure i love you now. Deborah.

  • Ver good video younger brother! Don't let success go to your head. Our childhood was wonderful.

  • I kind of wondered whether I'd been smoking anything when E.T. kept popping up on the screen, lol. Nice episode!

  • Thanks, again, for sharing your memories, Peter.

So let's move on to the 50's? :)

  • needs more ET

  • Good stories. I think I'd ditch the ET reference myself - I mean, I remember ET, but I'm forty. If you want references that appeal to young people today just keep this in mind - for them that USSR never existed! Yeah, we're that old.

  • always a pleasure listening to your vlogs.

  • wtfXDD....

  • smoking weeds is OK at that age I guess

    Good video

  • Very enjoyable Peter. As usual, looking forward to your next 'installment'.

    Regards from Colorado

  • What a lovely way to round off a Sunday evening: listening to Peter drinking some red wine... bliss

  • I look forward to seeing what medical advances occur in my lifetime.. it should be quite stunning as well.

  • Good to see the stories still coming. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks peter.

  • smoke weed everyday!!!

  • xoxo

  • Another great video Peter, I look forward to the next..keep up the good work.

  • beautiful

  • Another nice story, with interesting plot. Very fine song at the end!

  • Nice story, as always.

    Keep it up.

  • I freaking hate ET.

  • I can remember trying to smoke grass stalks, which burnt very quickly. Also tried tea & garden herbs. Kids eh..:)

  • thanks geriatric im not bored of you! no way i think ur intresting its just the way u lay it out you should try something different, i like hearing you stories, i would just like to something different happen! i love you videos just i get bored easily, i will continue admiring and watching your videos.

Take a look at more of my vids

    thanks tom

  • Peter's videos are REAL. Why should he change? He is a fantastic story teller. He doesn't need to be like everyone else. He is popular because he is being himself. Don't ever do anything different Peter. You are a true and genuine person. I love what you do and the WAY you do it :). -Alan-

  • mate u must be boring as well

  • and you go around looking at what people have written its none of your bussiness my opinion counts

  • Well stop judging then. There are people here that enjoy what Peter does and the way he does it. Thats all I'm saying. I'm voicing MY opinion also. I happen to enjoy what Peter does.

  • well dont question me again

  • Love the way you're having fun with a co-star and playing around with the credits etc ;) Interesting information about hospitals too, I didn't realise things were so different such a relatively short time ago!

  • FAT HEN weed can be cooked and eaten and is said to be quite nutritious and the seeds used for chicken feed. Nothing I found about it being toxic..hummm...but still, LOL!!! I'm not going to smoke it, you smoke it...I'm not going too...Lets get Peter!?!

Childhood is so full of wounders, Great Vid Peter!!

  • A good "Yutube" friend? lol

    Good video as always Peter

  • Aother great vid peter

  • I have a Star Wars Yoda toy that is very similar to you're E.T. Maby they should meet up, I wonder what their conversations would be like :-)

With the state of the NHS these days I wonder if we really have come that far ?!?!

  • You are an inspiration... i love you!!! please keep it up!

  • im bored of your vis now

  • you're the best, love watching your videos

  • Peter, the young never do as they are told. They have to experience life themselves. I think that is the beauty of growing up. Lovely vid as always.

  • you are so right

  • Another great video from peter.

  • Yes Peter in New Zealand I tried Manuka (Tea Tree) bark burned well - only did it once as you say nearly set me on fire. Thanks for sharing.

  • Another lovely video. Your voice, to me, is really quite soothing. It's very comforting somehow. :-)And I can always understand everything you say (which isn't always the case with other videos I've seen). Seeing a new video from you brightens my day. Thanks!!

    nienna from oregon usa

  • I love your videos Peter. Down here, southern US, kids smoke rabbit tobacco until they get good at sneaking their parents cigarettes.

  • thanks for sharing another story Peter :)

  • Very nice

  • Great one geriatrics! I hate hospitals they scare me :(

    Love Karl.

  • I bet you remember snuff, I don't even know if it's still around, but it was all the rage when I was VERY young. Silly kids we were :-)

  • Thank you for everything, Peter.

  • Another great story :-)

I've just had a mooch in my Wild Flower guide and 'Fat Hen' is a family of 10 plants, including the plant of that name. Fortunately none of them are noted to be poisonous :-D.

  • haha great video

  • Smoke anything you can roll! Yah!!!

  • Peter, you have done it again! You are so right about the advancements in medicine. Take it from the recipient of a quadruple bypass operation 9 years ago.

  • Great vid,Peter.I'm sure ur exper'ce in hospital had a lasting impact.Maybe they thought u had polio? My aunt is 75 & at 6 she spent 2 yrs in hosp'l .She's disabled & still is traumatised by memories of cruel nurses there.Did the polio epidemic come to UK as it did to Aus ,Peter?Did u know anyone who had it?Thanx as alway for ur insights.

  • This reminds me,I'd urge u all u parents to give your kids the polio vaccine. It isn't a '19 C disease',as many think or something only confined to developing nations. In places where they don't have access to the vaccine it spreads like brushfire. My aunt has donated her body 2 the med university when she dies.Students can see what this disease can do.

  • awwww so cute ! I love the E.T.!

  • nice one urawk man ure not getting as mutch veiws these days :(

  • How nice for someone to write you a personal song. How honored you must feel. Well, you do that to a lot of us... inspire us, you know? Give E.T. a hug for me.... xoxo

  • We smoked corn silks...

  • I'd just like to say that I think all your movies are great. You're a big influence for most of my sort-of-famous movies entitled Telling bugger all. They are in no way offensive to you. At first, they were spoofs, but now they have developed into a new thing.

I'd just like to say thanks for that, and keep up the good work.

    Ad :)

  • Another interesting eight minutes starring Peter and ET. Thanks. P.S. Buy some batteries ha ha.

  • cool, Peter, enjoyable as always.

  • It's funny the things kids do, I bet that was quite the scary experience. Great way to start a weekend watching one of your videos. You know I love you lots grandpa oh and tell ET he better obey so he can get more batteries and give you a break lol.

  • The only thing I smoke is fresh air :D

  • Beautiful song!!

  • I rate this video: AWESOME!

  • chup

  • great video as always peter!weeds!lol-and like those above i am eager to hear about the smoking as life went on.anyways-can't wait til next time

    cheers,

    <:+)

  • So I guess that scared you away from smoking the good stuff. I'm still waiting to hear your stories of the 60's.

  • Thank you for posting this, Peter! You are such a genuine person; We are all glad to know you!

  • Awesome! When I first saw the video I thought you were going to tell us you had been smoking pot. <g> My mom told me when hse was young she used to smoke corn silk.... I tried it and turned green.!

  • I smoked corn silk at age 5. I rolled it up in torn paper bags. I guess that's why I've never smoked since.

  • Another story that stirs memories here...I remember the Tuberculosis sanitoriums and my aunt having to leave her family for months while she was there for the "cure". Also, a thought how nice if we could manage disagreeable people the way you manage your friend, ET. Just withhold the batteries.

  • Oh my goodness! Smoking weed? Nice video!

  • i still look forward to each new video and am never disappointed, thank you peter xxxxxx

  • lol I would let the battery run out. Toys with A.I. can make people go nuts even with the parents. When the batterys run out in those type of toys that kind of thing can happen. Also another nice Vid.

  • i still sit back and love listening to every new video. glad ur still doing them, thanks peter xxxx

  • Great video Peter. Smoking weeds, shame on you! I recall smoking banana peels for some stupid reason during my youth. Ahhhhhhh ... the good ol' days.

Is that picture of a deer in the back ground? Cute. We have small deer here in the US Virgin Islands.

    Keep up the great work!
