Saw these guys live a few years ago at the ACC opening for Neil Young. Such a great live band. And I got to meet them a few months ago when they stopped in at my work. Great guys to. This is definetly one of my favorite crusing songs. Wilco rules!!
One of my favourite Wilco songs. Was Jeff off his chops? Seems impromptu and very The Jeff Tweedy Band. Whatever that drummer is in now I 'd like to see it.
This is Wilco. The band that recorded Wilco The Album, is also Wilco. But they're decidedly different bands. I guess, I just like bands with Jeff Tweedy in them.
The best song from A.M....definitly....it´s just great....I love Sky Blue Sky and Wilco The Album....but the first songs...had that thing that made them just irressistible...Casino queen it´s another proof of It....I Don´t Think that Wilco will ever get the recognition It deserves and Jeff Tweedy will never be in the rock and roll fame getting that special award....but it´s obvious that they don´t want that..just make music....not fancy videos...or long tours...just music...
I don't hink he was all that sober that night, but Wilco's great!

They turned it into a Minneapolis version. reminded me of Grant Hart.
Jeff was showing the thin line between country rock and punk.

More like a Replacements version.

@porkypyn
Jeff kind of sounds like Paul Westerberg too, which is pretty awesome.

Wow, to see Tweedy in a cowboy hat. I guess he did come from Belleville and his ol'man did work on the railroad.

what year is this from?

He says something about only singing it for 4 weeks, so I'd say...'94? That was when AM was released, and this was track 3 or 4 off the album.

It's 1997, first 4 weeks into the Being There tour. Bob Egan on the pedal steel, he was only with them for that tour.
