Rock is a very general term. Rock describes genres like metal, hard rock, even folk and blues. You should do your homework on what the word "rock" means in music.
Megadeth is metal, Death is metal, Slayer, Annihilator, Cynic, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond are all metal, and even guys that are very relevant nowadays like Machine Head and Trivium are metal.

IMO, bullet is like a gateway band. Kind of like how Dragon Force is a gateway band into bands like Sonata Arctica and Kamelot, and once they realize that Dragon Force sucks, they move onto real talent. BFMV is a gateway band for better metal. I got my start here, loving this band then discovered real talent. This is all my opinion, of course, but I find nothing exceptional about this band, I see what they do done many times over.

Scream Aim Fire was only good for the first four tracks or so, ( Scream Aim and Fire, Eye of the Storm, Hearts Burst Into Fire and Waking the Demon) but The Posion was a LOT better I think :) Just my opinion.
P.S. The only notable song from their first EP/Album or whatever it was is Hand of Blood.

In the pop charts, none of the decent bands like Slightly Left Of Centre ever make it. But people like Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Rihanna et etc etc do make the charts.
Same goes with metal. Mainstream metal bands make the charts, others don't.
Do you honestly think many of those pop artists are gonna go down in history? No. Nor will BFMV.

@healingvision09 maybe because of all the mainstream attention they get. especially after their last album Fever came out. they have good music but now that they are very popular and more relevant to the mainstream metal scene they just don't seem like true metal anymore.
same goes for Avenged Sevenfold. they've gotten so much attntion from the mainstream metal crowd. in simpler terms , the fans that hear one song on the radio and claim they are a fan. which is why the radio kills good metal.

@ReaperOfMen Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was an EP and that The Posion was their first full length "album" as such however I'm not 100% sure. Scream Aim Fire was only good for the first four tracks or so, ( Scream Aim and Fire, Eye of the Storm, Hearts Burst Into Fire and Waking the Demon) but The Posion was a LOT better I think :) Just my opinion.
P.S. The only notable song from their first EP/Album or whatever it was is Hand of Blood.
