Who can blame the young kids who joined when they had the chance. Who wouldn't get more out of life if given the chance. I'm german-iriish and though they couldn't be made they still were given opportunities to work with the families and were loved as if they were their own and had very nice retirements if they held up their end. Can you imagine what it must have been like to be in the Mafia when it was in the early 20th century? When guys like Carlo Gambino were coming up? Now, it's so damn hard to be involved in anything for too long. You got to keep moving from one thing to another because if you get too greedy, someone out there, whether it be the FBI, another wiseguy, drug dealer, whatever, "a pig gets fed, but a hog gets slaughtered."
